I have been to this location countless times, and I guess the best way to describe this place is: not so great that I'd recommend it, but it's also not so bad that I would avoid it altogether. If there were another close Taco Bell, I would not go to this location. The biggest issue isn't a lack of portions or bad tasting food, but it rather lies in the fact that I am almost always missing a part of my meal. This Taco Bell probably owes me $100 dollars in replacement nacho fries. I have also been missing larger parts of a meal as well such as an entire taco or multiple tacos at that. I typically have great customer service experiences. There are a few workers I consistently run into that are exceptional, specifically some of the sweet girls that work there! They are always extremely helpful, and when they are working, my order it correct. It really all depends on who is working at the time you come through. I definitely wouldn't avoid this location. It is pretty fast, I'll get them that, and if you just double-check that you aren't missing anything or they haven't made your food incorrectly- which occasionally happens if you ask for specific customizations the deviate from an original recipe- then you will probably enjoy this location pretty well. All that has been said applies to the drive through. I would never go inside this Taco Bell/KFC, because it might just be the slowest restaurant i've ever come across. I went a few days ago with friends and my experience was far from good. Granted it was late but it doesn't excuse the poorly prepared and cooked food. There was little filling in the burritos, and some of it tasted burnt while not looking burned. The staff was also rude and ignored us. This made a very terrible experience and I will not be returning. read more

I have been to every Taco Bell from Covington to Bartlett, and out of every Taco Bell in the general Tipton/Shelby county area, this one is consistently the worst and least successful in fulfilling orders. There is always a tremendously long line, which I understand is no fault of the establishment necessarily, but its one thing to wait a while for your order, but when you consistently make the long wait only for your order to be wrong or missing (often several items) you paid for, it gets frustrating pretty fast. I outright will not go to this Taco Bell anymore, and I advise others against it as well, as my family in the area have also had largely negative experiences here as well, and the saddest part is it's been this way for YEARS. You are far better off making the brief trek north to Covington, the Taco Bell there has never made any errors when I've gone, food is always fast, fresh and correct there, which is consistently not the case in Atoka, or even going south to the Millington Taco Bell, which isn't great by any means, but beats Atoka's TB by a mile. Do not recommend eating here, or attempting to (assuming by some miracle they actually give you what you ordered correctly the first time, which really shouldn't be a lot to ask, as someone who has also worked fast food myself.) If you absolutely must get mexican food in Atoka, I implore you to just go to Casa Mexicana, Margaritas, or Los Alebrijes, which are all FAR better choices, and Casa is literally right next door too. read more

They closed the lobby and forced people to go through the drive thru. Didn't answer to take orders. We sat for 10 minutes waiting on them because they "needed a moment". Most awful experience. One ordered something that was hanging on the menu bird yet they don't have it. Two received our order checked before we leave half order was missing. Drove around to park to call the store before attempting waiting in line again for two chalupas. Phone line was busy for over 10 minutes. Got back in drive thru to ask for the rest of our order finally received it. Got home and one of the chalupa was a complete mess like they just through it in the bag. We first got to the store at 4 we left there at 4:43. We would rather drive 15 minutes in both opposite directions to go to other locations to get better service and food. I mean, the food is SOMETIMES decent. Other than that, good luck even getting to the window. Either the line is super long and takes an hour or two to get through, or you get to the speaker box and they are out of something. I went by today at 4:50 and they said they were CLOSED???? i was in the mood for taco bell.. was is the key word. upon my visit to the taco bell in atoka tn located on hwy 51 ,i ordered my food and since it was not busy in thelobby ,i stood at the counter and waited for my food to be prepared,I looked in the food preperation area just in time to see that the guy that was preparing my food had removed his glove and wiped food off the end of a tool that was used to prepare food. he then continued to use the tool and leaned over a trash can and smacked the tool against the trash can to remove food that was on the tool, in which he then continued to use this tool prepairing food.
