The white cheddar bites are amazing and if you like milkshakes they have every flavor you can imagine.

Stopped in today around noon (Nov 19 2025) to grab something to eat because I got really light headed at the store. Barely was able to hear and understand the employee taking my order through the drive thru because she kept removing her finger from the mic button too early. She got upset with me because I asked her to give me a minute to look at the menu. Once I ordered, I came up to the window and told her that her sentences keep getting cut not even halfway through and she just rudely looked at me and goes "okay" and gave me a "do you think I care" type of look. If you can't do your job correctly, either ask someone for help or just find another job. Don't give customers your attitude especially when without the customers you'd have no paycheck. Won't be coming back to this location because of the nasty attitude. Food was great though. Burger has a nice Smokey flavor to it and the fries were phenomenal. Everything was very hot and fresh but very sloppily put together and the amount of sides you get for a $10 meal is on the small end. read more

As for the shake, it was good but too thick for a straw but I ate mine with a fork and didn't spill a drop. Ha! The place is clean and the restrooms are above average. RUDE! drive through cashier was a straight bi*ch... Sariyah is a poor ambassador for the company you should not be working with the direct public not only was she rude but she failed to follow simple instructions. I asked for extra Reese's peanut butter cups and got what tasted like a vanilla shake. When we pulled up to the drive-through window to retrieve our shakes we were met with another rude degenerate that basically tossed the milkshake at us. Mary established competitors try to offer their customers the best value in price,quality & menu variety but fail to do so against Cookout. I happen to notice a combo that was affordable in price starting at $4.99 & it was also unique as you are able to customize your own combo from the items listed at no extra charge. For example I ordered a double burger with fries onion rings & a cheerwine (soda) & only paid $4.99 compared to McDonald's who offers nearly double the price offering smaller portions & sub par quality with their combo meals. The staff here is friendly professional & organized in serving their customers quality food & service at a low price. I took notice that the store was cleanly inside from their tables floors & countertops. My meal came out in a timely manner despite the customer volume that was in store & drive thru. I found it to be of a higher quality then McDonald's or Wendy's. It was hot fresh & very tasty. I will be a return custom at this location in the future. We usually get just OK food at this location. When it first opened the food was fresh, hot and the service was on point. But years later that fell off. You would get flat soda, cold fries, something in your order missing, etc. But after eating the food today....WOW! Everything was hot, fresh and we got all the order. My soda was strong and the Burger was flame kissed and fries crispy. I haven't seen my quesadilla toasted like this either in a long time! This is the second time at this location that I've had to stand at the counter for an unreasonable amount of time to wait on food. This time, the couple directly in front of me in line, had gotten their food, found a table, finished eating, and left the building while I'm still waiting at the counter! My ticket number was 49. They already served 58 before finishing my order. The first time it happened, the guy I ate with was nearly finished by the time I received my order. After reading other reviews, I asked to go light on the grilled onions. My receipt said light on the onions but you can see in my pics they were busy and not paying attention. Lettuce soggy. The Cook Out reminds me of old school burger joints where the food taste like they're from your own backyard, awesome selection of ingredients and the food selection is unparalleled and definitely sets this place apart from other franchise burger joints. The burgers are thick, juicy and have that grilled right taste that can't be replicated on a stovetop, the fried seem to be cut from whole potatoes and eat like old fashioned steak fries. The Cook out just like old school burger joints offer a wide selection of shakes, cones and various ice cream combinations. Once you visited this place and tasted their food, it will be one of this places that when you get a taste for it, nothing else can replace it. Also prices are very, very reasonably and speed of service is exceptional. It's mediocre at best. The order taker was nonchalant and pretty unconcerned. What sealed it for me was that when she handed me my order through the drive through window, she didn't bother to close it or put it in a bag. I could immediately see that the lid was not secured. When the container changed hands, it flopped open, and I had to seal it. Why was there no bag? I have twice been to the Cook Out at the Wolfchase location in Memphis, TN, on Highway 64. On one occasion, I went inside, and went through the drive thru on the other occasion. On both occasions, I was greatly impressed with the taste and the quality of the food, and even more so by the price. As for the milkshakes, I think one would be hard pressed to find a better shake anywhere in the world. A regular sized shake is less than $3.00, and it's frozen thick and hard enough that it does not melt in 5 minutes. In fact, it's still going to be frozen thick and hard at 30 minutes. The only way to immediately consume one of the shakes is to eat it with a spoon. As for the wait time I experienced, I received my food quickly on both occasions. More than anything else about what impressed me is that the take out bag has printed on it, "Thank You God For America". The drink cup has printed on it, "God Bless America". There is also printed on the cup a Bible scripture from the book of Psalms, and there's yet another scripture reference on the french fry bag, with another Book of Psalms scripture. How long has it been since any of us have seen such spiritual and patriotic support from any restaurant of any kind ---- or even from any business, for that matter? For that one reason alone, Cook Out will get plenty of my business. In fact, I may have to give them so much of my business that I try all 40 plus flavors of those milkshakes. read more

For fast food this is about as good as it gets. They service a high volume of customers and I have yet to receive an incorrect order in multiple trips. The burgers and chicken sandwiches have a nice charbroil taste although on occasion the buns can get a tad soggy. The milkshake selection is fantastic but forget the straw and grab a spoon. They are THICK and delicious. The Peach Cobbler is my favorite so far. My only suggestion for improvement would be for customers dining in to have the soft drinks available for self service on refills. Presently, the soft drinks are only behind the order counter and, while Cookout is largely very efficient taking orders, the lines can become very long. This place lives up to the name. The food tastes like it was cooked outside on a grill. I had two hot dogs with chili the first time and a double burger with fries and chicken wrap the next. Both were very good. The burger is similar to Steak and Shake except that the meat has more of a smoky flavor. The fries taste close to the ones you get at 5 Guys.
