They have a decent variety of menu options, you get decent quantity of food and the food is delicious to boot. The people there are extremely nice and welcoming. Great place to stop in for lunch, we always have the hard shell taco supreme with crispy corn tortilla shell with fresh beef, lettuce, tomato and cheese and sour cream. The beefy tostada is very good but so is the triple beef enchilada!! After lunch we always order a few of the Triple Tamale to take home for dinner, and they are never disappointing with chili sauce, nacho cheese, and jalapenos! Always good!! read more

Yes the food is very good but their hours leave a lot to be desired. It's bad enough that a fast food restaurant closes at 8:00pm (posted) M-Saturday but if you get there 7:45 you might as well forget it. They will make you wait at the drive thru for 10-15 minutes then come over the speaker to say that they are closed. This is not right at all. Also on Saturdays they close at 6:00pm which is only noted on their facebook page; all their other signs say 8:00pm and one time I went there at 5:30 on Saturday and they were long gone. This place could be so much better with new management to do decent hours and actually work those hours. read more

El Toro has been around many years and there's a reason for that, it's incredible! If you're looking for great Mexican food at a very low price El Toro Taco if for you. They have the best guacamole and a amazing cheese dip. I suggest the guacamole tostada and don't forget their homemade hot sauce. Food is always great and prices are very reasonable- my only complaint today is the employees were wearing masks, but the lady at the window (drive through today) and the lady nearest her- were only covering their mouths with the mask- their noses were uncovered. I know it is hard sometimes, but this is a pet peeve of mine. Either wear it correctly or why bother. I've been a nurse for over 30 years, so I have plenty of experience wearing them. I always say that Mexicans do it better and this is a classic example. There is nothing whatsoever Mexican about this place. I did not see one Mexican here. I've been here several times over the years and it's always been with somebody else who wants to eat here. Given that Millington just doesn't have any really great places to eat, the options are very limited. I'm sure if they showed me their ingredients, it would be a better quality than Taco Bell. It just all comes out in the wrong way. Eating on styrofoam, trying to cut a burrito with a flimsy plastic fork. The food's never hot. I spent $10 on lunch which is what will get me better food from the Mexicans on a hot plate. Of course I tip at the restaurants, so maybe this is cheaper. I just don't get it. I'm really looking forward to the Margaritas grand opening at the old Exline's. Why do they have a sign on their door letting customers know that it's a dangerous place to be after 5:00 and they have to lock the door for safety? Kind of scary. I grew up in Millington back in the 80s and El Toro Taco is one of my fondest memories. My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip back home (we currently live in Ohio) so he could see where I grew up and taste the cheese sauce/dip I've been telling him about. As soon as we got into Millington we went straight to El Toro! We ordered a taco, cheese dip, sweet chips, a burrito and two ice waters. Less than $8! All of it was wonderful and absolutely tasted like when I was younger! The memories just came flooding back. We had plans to bring some cheese sauce and guacamole home for my mom and sister so the next day we stopped in and ordered A LOT of sauce! They knew we were heading back to Ohio and were very nice people. Thank you for making our trip home so memorable! We did order the bbq nachos on that second day and it was just ok. Needed more bbq sauce on it. But outside of that, everything was wonderful! read more

Felt like I walked in to a scene from a bad movie. I brushed off the bad vibes and decided to give it a chance. The sign on the door that read "now serving rice" should have been a huge clue.... The person at the register was pleasant. The beans were ok-The ice water tasted fine.... the rest of the food was so far from what I would consider Mexican - served on styrofoam- asked for no cheese (can't have dairy) it was covered in it. The " seasoned" chicken in my taco was anything but seasoned. Our two dishes came to less than $9 which was nice because I'd been more upset we wasted money there. There are at least 10 other places to eat around there I go before here. Reminiscent of what the cafeteria tried to pass off as Mexican food back in my school days. I wanted an afternoon taco, and there was this taco place somebody in the car wanted to try this place man! So we went in. I can now see why this place was almost empty! Jeez! First of all, the lady taking orders is giving you the evil eye and looks like she can't possibly like her job in the first place. Unhappy servers equal unhappy customers. Next, the food was flavorless. This wasn't Mexican not Tex Mex. It was called Flavorless™. It was dirty and gross, too. There are many good local restaurants in Millington. This is not one of them. I even double checked the photos and GPS to ensure I was in the right spot(not making this up). The cashier had an attitude almost as bad as the food and after two tacos and a tostada I still couldn't find any flavor. The taco with tomato comes with a single tiny sliver. The cheese tasted old like it had been left out and only my desire to write a properly researched review ensured I tried everything after my first impression. I drive 30 mins from Memphis to Millington just to eat here. Food is always great. I've never had anything here that wasn't fantastic. My go-tos are usually a combo burrito and the cheese dip. I swear, I DREAM about that damn cheese dip! Mucho Nacho and Grande Burrito are amazing, also. read more

This is the go to place for fast food texmex! My wife would disagree and say that punk a** taco bell is the shiz but what does she know.
