My gf wanted wine and their selection was very limited, no surprise for a Mexican joint. We opted for the skinny chicken nachos plus one beef enchilada. Nachos turned out to be a nice surprise. No chips included so we used the big basket provided with our drinks. It was a tasty light alternative to regular nachos since we were already tired and still more driving to do. read more

We were driving around country and we stopped in this town for one night to rest before another long day of driving. This restaurant was in walking distance of our hotel. It was recommended to us by the hotel staff. Entrance: This place is huge! There is plenty of seating. We arrived late and we were accommodated. There were so many tables packed with people. Staff: Everyone was super nice and when we arrived we were exhausted and just wanted to shower and sleep. The staff was worried we did not like the food since we were in a rush. I thought it was sweet of the staff to check if we were happy with our food. Food: The salsa is amazing! The tacos were out of this world! I was told I don't give a fuck. The price is the price. I then asked is it normal to have bone in your food for others to choke on or hurt their teeth. She said yes... then get the bill where we were charged for steak tacos that we did not get. she reprinted the bill i told her I don't see where she changed it. She told me if I would just read the bill l'd see in a smart tone. Turns out she messed up and didn't even fix it.check your cameras by the register. Stoped at the Hampton for the night as I was passing through on my way back home to Houston and the person at the front desk recommended this place. Now I can get Mexican on about every corner in Houston, but I thought why not give this a try. I always like a good Mexican restaurant. I was not disappointed in the slightest! Had a sweet waitress (Samantha), she gave me time to look over the menu and when I did order, my food came out quick. She was very attentive and sweet to talk to. It started to get busy after I sat down so I was thankful I beat the crowd. I had the chicken, beef and shrimp fajitas. They brought out a large portion and enough for two or three. If you are looking for a great deal for really good Mexican food this is the place. The lunch menu features huge plates of food (really fresh and delicious food) for about 6 bucks and change. I had the Chicken enchiladas verdes with rice and beans. The enchiladas were very good and the rice was delicious too, usually an after thought on most chain Mexican restaurant menu but this was very fresh and made with nutty, fluffy basmati rice. The beans were very flavorful and had been made fresh that day, I could tell (not like most Mexican restaurants where they taste and look like they have been sitting around for a day or two). I was really surprised by my husband's chile relleno, it was actually an authentic chile relleno, and huge! A big Poblano stuffed with white cheese dipped, in a light batter and deep fried crispy, with a wonderful fresh spicy tomato sauce. Such a lot of value for such a small price. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating, even helping my husband practice his Spanish. I'm not sure all of the restaurants in the chain are as good, but this one does a great job! read more

I've been going to this location for 9 years. It's always been my favorite place in town. I used to go once a week. I recommend it to everyone. It's been going downhill for a couple of years, though. The food is still good, but not as good as it was. They can't keep servers, and the service isn't great anymore either. After today, I will not be returning. They brought me regular Pepsi instead of diet. I asked nicely for a new drink. They never brought me one and wouldn't take it off the ticket, even though I didn't drink it. The manager said I ordered the drink, so I had to pay for it, even if they didn't give me the right one. My friend ordered the chicken fajita salad expecting it to be more like a fajita with peppers and onions and fajita meat. Instead it was bland and soggy. She asked to change her order, because she didn't like it. The next thing we knew, the manager came out and was very rude and condescending to my friend. She said that she would change her order this time, but next time she would have to pay for both. She was so rude and nasty that my friend told her that she no longer wanted to order anything else. Like I said, we've been going here for years and have never had an encounter like this, but she was so unprofessional, we won't be back. She's running that place into the ground. Very sad! read more

Wow! I never expected to find great Mexican food in Marion, AR. This joint delivers the goods. Huge (and authentic) menu with all the favorite traditional dishes as well as a few I had not heard of. A business partner and I went for dinner and ordered Queso Fundito and the house special fajitas. All skillets were delivered piping hot and the flavors were fantastic. The cheese in the queso dip was actually bubbling when it was presented to the table. Not to forget, the enormous Margarita made with Cuervo 1800 was quite satisfying. Veronica, our server, was delightful and attentive. She even politely smiled at my partner's corny jokes, even though I don't think she "got" all of them. We playfully hassled her about the sign outside advertising the "$99 drink special" (missing a decimal). Not sure if this is a family-run restaurant but it had all the trappings of a really good west coast Mexican place...in Arkansas! It was so good we went back the next day for lunch! The food here was absolutely terrible. Actually the entire dining experience was horrendous. We weren't expecting much from Mexican food in Arkansas but two of the four dishes were completely unedible they were so bad. I got a Ranchero steak medium and it was as rare as could be. I asked them to re-cook it to a medium and it came out so overly well done that it was like beef jerky that was not edible. My daughters kids pizza was a watery sponge and unedible as well. We had to send my sons quesadilla back because the waitress said the vegetables will be on the side and they were in it. My wife's tortilla soup was basic chicken noodle soup with a couple tortilla chips on top of it. We asked to speak to a manager and one never came. The waitress apologize for everything being bad but didn't do anything about it and charge us full price even though 90% of the food was still on the table. Because I live in Texas, I tend to give non-border states a break on their Tex-Mex. I do score on a few standards though. The chips were okay but I like mine served warm. The salsa was tasty, not hot, but this is Arkansas ya know. Had the chips been hot, then the cold sauce would have been kinda neat. I ordered some guacamole which came out a little acidic for my taste which just means it was prepped too early or stored too long. The beef fajitas were acceptable. The portion size was huge!! I was disappointed in the Margarita - she had me upgrade to the "jumbo" size and it was just too much and the lime was a super sweet prepared mix. Besides that the glass was chipped with sharp edges, telling me the restaurant should pay more attention to the details. The food was hot and inexpensive, and there was plenty of it, all was without much spice or flavor.
