Arkansas. Yup I'm wondering how I got here myself. Well here we go. (Ace Ventura style) I walked in and was greeted right away by a hostess that allowed me to sit at the bar where I was greeted by the bartender with the nice southern accent that was very pleasant and helpful even though it was a holiday and she had to work and ended up hustling around taking care of a takeout window basically while still keeping up with the bar and surrounding tables I had the sirloin tips that were okay but I also ordered sweet potato fries and they came with a marshmallow sauce that I mixed with a little steak sauce ended up being good. read more

We were traveling through the area and stopped at the hotel next door for the night. We went to Coltons Steakhouse for dinner. We both liked what we got! I got the Golden Fried Shrimp and my wife got the Southwest Chipotle Tips. The restaurant was very clean and seemed fairly busy. Our waitress (Sunshine) was very good and super friendly. She did a great job! We would recommend this place for dinner! read more

Walked in late. They didn't have a booth available. I looked and they had not cleaned them. They sat us at a table and we could feel the hard sticky substance on our table. No thank you. Went across the street to Mi Pueblo. A better choice. read more

I was seated at a table that was obviously dirty and the waitress seemed to be bothered that I asked her to clean the table

We sat in the bar and Aaron was our server. He was great! The food was good, but Aaron made sure he took care of us, getting us hot potatoes when ours weren't quite done. We always stay at the Hampton Inn when traveling and it's so convenient to walk across the street to Colton's. read more

Good ambiance, good service and good food. It's a win!! The loaded potato soup is a speciality. The rolls and honey button. :)

Second visit to this restaurant. Not much has changed, was hoping to see a positive change. But no. Food: Montana burger was OKAY for the lunch special. The 6oz steak was tough and dry, although it was ordered as medium-rare. The sides were average, still skimpy. Service: always friendly and welcoming! That's one thing that remains consistent. Ambiance: casual read more

The food along with great service makes for the best experience. We had a large group eat with this restaurant at lunch and they came through beautifully. Easy to work with servers along with a very nice table set up for fourteen. read more

Stopped on our way through Arkansas on our way from Michigan to Texas for Lunch. The ambience reminded me of Long Horn Steakhouse from Michigan. We were seated right away and Monica came right over to take our drink order. Hot soft rolls were delivered to our table with the drinks and then the food was then ordered. She did a great job keeping our drinks filled and checking on us. I ordered the Del Rio Ribeye medium with a strawberry pecan salad add on for $2.99 and extra steam mixed veggies. It was so yummy. The Ribeye was cooked perfectly and had amazing seasoning with melted butter and onion straws on top. So yummy. I used the extra butter for the veggies and it was a perfect accompaniment. Hubby always orders a Filet medium. It came out a little more cooked than he prefers but said the seasoning was perfect and it was still very juicy. He ordered a side salad and baked potatoes. Both were very tasty. No room for dessert. Maybe next time!?! We definitely will stop here again next time we are on a road trip North! read more

Coltons Steak House & Grill - Steakhouses Near Me - Marion, Arkansas

Affordable Budget Friendly Chain of Steakhouses. Colton's Steakhouse and Grill has been around since 1996 and has Locations in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee. I've eaten at this chain in the past and decided finally to write a review. I was in the Memphis TN, Marion AR area for business. I was hungry after a long drive and wouldn't you know it, this location was right beside my hotel. Colton's vibe is a western style, cowboy theme, with icons of the wild west that are seen throughout the dining room and outside. I looked through the menu and had my mind set on Steak when I noticed they had a 'Smoked' Sirloin. This was a seasonal feature and I was right on the money with my choice. I started with fresh dinner rolls, then out came the Sirlion which I ordered with a side of grilled shrimp. I also had an Ice Cold beer while I was there. The Steak was very tender with a smokey flavour and served with asparagus and corn on the cob. My shrimp was juicy and came with a side of melted butter for dipping. The meal was great, and so was the service. I like it when everything goes smoothly. I have rarely had any issues at any of the Colton's Steak House and Grill locations I've visited in the past. This visit was no different and it was right beside my hotel, so it was also very convenient. Give Colton's a shot yourself if you like steak and that Wild West vibe. read more

We were staying at a nearby hotel and needed a good meal after a long day on the road. We were seated right away and our waitress named Sunshine couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. The food was delivered quickly and was good. It was very noisy and there was a child screaming in the background the whole dinner, but we would return when we are in the area. read more

I never post reviews but today was terrible. Now the service was awesome! I believe her name was Kaitlyn. She was great. We ordered an onion blossom for an appetizer. Then my husband ordered a Philly with all the fixings and fries. I ordered the turkey club and a side salad. Salad came before the onion blossom. All carrots virtually no lettuce. Onion blossom was fried well but no taste. The sauce was like straight sugar. The Philly came with cheese but not melted no peppers or onions and literally 5 steak fries. The turkey club bread was burned beyond even scraping. The turkey inside was cold, one piece of bacon and the garnish well you get the picture. Overall the food was terrible but the service was awesome! read more

Local hotel recommended Colton's. We ate in the bar so we could watch the games. Plenty of choice on the TV. Kind of old west atmosphere. Strangely I got a strong odor of hay when I first walked in. Got service shortly after we sat down. Ordered burgers and sides. Only complaint was the medium rare ordered burgers came medium/medium well. read more

Food wasn't bad and it wasn't good just okay. My only complaint is my friend ordered Hawaiian Chicken waiter came up to table and informed us that food would be a little late coming out because of girl volleyball team in other room. Then our food came out and waiter informed my friend kitchen ran out of pineapple for the Hawaiian chicken. I feel that once kitchen notice they were out of a ingredient on a dish. The kitchen should have notified the customer so that customer could have ordered something else. But no kitchen send waiter out with dish. Horrible service by kitchen. read more

Bartender was great with orders. Food was super fast. The hostess stand was awful. Almost left before being seated. I told her a booth for one. She told me that they did servers in order and that I would have to sit at a table. I said there are booths open everywhere. She handed me a menu and my silverware, then told me to sit in the bar. That is one on most uninviting experiences I've had in years. I probably spend $40,000 a year, eating out in restaurants all over the world. Every time I go to Colton's, something disappointing happens. Update: the manager called to apologize and made things good. read more

This review has nothing to do with out waitstaff. She was attentive, kind, and anticipated our needs. The food however. Okay let's chat. Prep work is EVERYTHING when it comes to service. Not cleaning your vegetables in prep time, massive salad ends left in chunks, large pieces of fat left untrimmed. Train them. Just take the time to train them. Slowly. And make it worthwhile as well. Steak temps aren't correct, tomatoes were old, and ratios and playing were pitiful. Don't give people the excuse that we'll it's a chain restaurant so what did you expect? You should expect top quality from a million dollar enterprise that can afford to certify every person in their employ. read more

Delicious food great customer service Caesar salad highly recommend along with the chicken nachos 8/10

Great food . Once served they didn't check but twice the entire time. But the food was really great.

I ordered a filet mignon. Medium. The steak had no flavor was overcooked and had a glob of fat on it. The whole point of filet cuts is NO FAT. I sen it back. 2nd one came back with more flavor, way underdone and still had fat. It's gross. We will never go again. read more

If you're looking for a place that is budget friendly and edible at best in Marion, Arkansas, Colton's is your place. There was nothing notable about the food or the service. Took over an hour to be seated due to our party size and the hostess being unable to create seating to accommodate a party of 20. Things got off to an incredibly slow start when we were seated, had to request silverware multiple times after starters had been served, complimentary bread came at the same time as the entrees, wait staff was scrambling to get everything together. If I had to guess I would say there's a leadership issue which has trickled down to all the hiccups experienced. The staff (waitresses specially) themselves were decent and patient which is worth mentioning. I had the catfish meal with steak fries. The fish portions were somewhere between a filet and a nugget. Seasoned very lightly if at all. Colton's is a period piece inside. Lots of photos of cowboys and western relics. Casual environment. read more

I had a terrible experience at Colton's that left me extremely disappointed, the ambience was horrible. We were ignored by our waiter and had to get one serving a different side of the restaurant. From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were being ignored. Other tables were attended to promptly, but we waited far too long for service. Almost 30 minutes, we pulled out a timer to see how fast another group was served and it was 1 minute 30 seconds. We never received plates, and no bread rolls were brought to our table, even though we noticed other tables getting them. They brought us toast, buttered toast. How are you going to run out of rolls? While we were waiting to be attended we saw other tables getting rolls. When we ordered draft beers, they were completely flat. We had to return them and settle for bottled beer instead. I ordered a burger cooked medium rare, but what I received was extremely well done and overcooked. To top it off, when I asked for napkins, we were initially given toilet paper before receiving actual napkins later. The overall experience made us feel neglected and undervalued as customers. I expected much better and left feeling very frustrated. read more

Mac and cheese was really good for a chain restaurant... the bartender was lovely, I regret that I don't remember her name. My father is skeptical of the story behind, but I'm super unclear why since we live in an area of Texas where there are tons of historical markers where Bonnie and Clyde robbed banks that are currently local businesses. Also, we are related to Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley so his skepticism seems strange. Love the atmosphere... we were here when a little thunderstorm rolled through and it was nice. read more

Great Colton's location very nice location with good food service and staff would highly recommend if you're looking for a good meal

Traveling through wanted a steak, so I gave this place a shot. When I first walked in it reminded me of a great value roadhouse with the scenery and layout. But oh was I wrong!!!!! Their steak and service out weighs Roadhouse by far. The server Maggie was very upbeat and informative on the menu and made great selections for my meal. (I always test the waiter) she nailed it!!!! Also the smoked salmon dip is AMAZING!!!! With warm pita chips and the dip is a great combo! Overall I would DEFINITELY try this place again if I'm up in the area. read more

It have been so long since I have dined at Coltons. I would say that the food is average. The food was hot and tasty. It's a family dining spot great for after church or just to get together. Service was ok, but given short staff, that's not surprising. That did not impact the food, so it wasn't a problem. My husband and I usually eat here since it's close to the hotel and after 12 hours of driving this place seems to be the obvious choice but it's not! We started with the potato skins but yet we're burnt. I had the grilled shrimp and it was over spiced and undercooked, just like the rice it arrives upon. The baked potato wasn't cooked through and the sour cream was warm. In the past I have had the potato soup and not cooked well either. My husband will only eat a burger or the catfish and he said that's barely above par. Colton's may be convenient but the food quality is not worth it. read more

Just left about 10 minutes ago. Immediately got seated, then was not acknowledged for 20 minutes. Not a single employee came up to us.

Servers are friendly. The spinach artichoke dip was good as well as the boneless wings. I ordered a 12 ounce Ribeye medium. Also fries and corn. Steak was cooked correctly but tasteless....bland...no flavor. A-1 to the rescue. Helped some. Rolls are good. Place is clean. Just expected a flavorful steak... didn't happen. My daughter had the Alfredo. It was also bland and flavorless. Good location. Location, rolls, appetizers = B Steak, corn, fries, Alfredo = D read more
