Me and my girl friend went here for her birthday dinner around 6 pm. They constantly come over to your table so there's not much room for conversation but the food is excellent and I love the salad bar. My actual server wasn't seen very much but when he did come around he was very kind and attentive I just wished my drinks came out faster and not so watered down. Note: TEACHER DISCOUNT!! It's always a treat when we come here and we usually save trips here for anniversaries, birthdays, and other special events. They have a salad bar and then the meats travel to you. With the AC out, they've got only one marker per table but usually it's one per person. You can request whatever cooked how you want and they will try and bring it to you before they go around and present it to everyone else as well. My favorite way to eat meat is rare or medium rare, but I tend to grab whatever comes around that is a meat I want, regardless of how it's cooked. They have different meats for lunch and dinner but my family has found we enjoy dinner the most. They bring parmesan cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes, and sweet fried bananas to the table and will bring more of each out as you finish. You can also order sides of stuff, such as my sister ordering french fries on our most recent trip. The salad bar is really good with lots of excellent stuff to enhance your meal. We love this restaurant but avoid it during the summer months !! The air conditioning is out and the restaurant is failing to warn patrons of the miserable dining conditions. I've talked to wait staff and it's been an issue every summer for years. OMG. Yes, My Son and Daughter in law gave me a Giftcard. I used it inside due to it's not a drive thru. The food was amazing and Lord, Aden was Supper Awesome. This is one of my favorite restaurants. I love the concept of endless meat. My wife's family loves coming here once a year to celebrate multiple birthdays in the family. It's my favorite place they pick. I've also come back on my own with my wife and friends just because it's that good. This is not a place I can be surprised with. We started with the salad bar. The lobster bisque is a star of course. I wasn't a big fan of the salad style green beans. The au gratin potatoes were good. We had every meat but lamb. All of it was great. Our favorites were the filet and the bacon wrapped chicken. Unfortunately, the AC was out so it was sweltering in there. We had a 7pm reservation and were greeted by a very agitated hostess; she did not even try to suppress her irritation at being busy at 7pm on a Saturday night. We were, however, then seated by a very nice hostess that seemed afraid of the other one. Our waiter RUSHED through the instructions so quickly I asked him to re-explain and that just made him go even faster with the same script he had just used. I had no idea what to do and he did not ever return with our drinks. The meat carvers were not loud enough to hear over the noise level of the restaurant so you never knew what you were getting (and I have great hearing) but they all mumbled and maybe 2 said thank you or you're welcome after I said thank you. Texas de Brazil is a must visit every time I visit Memphis. This restaurant is very special and is one of the original locations in Memphis adjacent to the Peabody Hotel and Beale street. The salad bar is impressive but the main attraction is the expertly cooked and carved meats. The bar includes some wonderful wines and a solid bourbon collection. Angels Envy tonight, $11 for a solid pour and my waiter was kind enough to bring out the ice cube press machine which is always fun to watch. There is only one thing I really come here for and its the Piranha and it only came to my table once. I was seated at a two person table nearest the window facing the street. Please never except a seat farthest from the kitchen because it seems like the food runs out before it reaches that part of the restaurant. I was (I think) serve everything in rotation but afterwards I was mainly served sausage and lamb. My waiter was excellent but he did not introduce himself and the meat was excellent when it was available. I have a suggestion for management, consider rotating where food starts out from the kitchen. Start from the front to back then rotate it from the back to the front. Or have enough servers/food to serve the entire restaurant. The food distribution was uneven and unfulfilling from my perspective.
