The food was as expected with lots of choices and lots of fried foods. When trays were empty fresh food was right behind. As it relates to the food and taste. Again, all fried but tasty and hot. We use to come here all the time. It had been a while and I thought we would see, if they were still good. The place was very clean. The service was great and the food was a little above average for a seafood bar. Especially this far from a fresh source! Dont come here expecting a nice decor. Its very country basic in that department. The fried shrimp were pretty small but they had a good flavor. There was no crab legs. I honestly dont remember if there ever were. I really wouldnt expect quality crab legs at $21 per person. They did have mud bugs and the flavor was very good. The catfish was just ok. I do remember that being a little better. They have lots of good sides to choose from. Like corn on the cobb, turnip greens, chicken spaghetti, fries, onion rings, or hush puppies just to name a few. The overall experience in my opinion was great. I think you can get your moneys worth for what they do have. If your a fan of the peel and eat shrimp, you can get your moneys worth in just in that. Im a big fan of gumbo and jambalaya. They have both and they were also good. The dessert bar was your average peach cobbler, fuge brownie, and banana puddin choices. I like that this place is only open a few days for a few hours. I believe this is why the quality was higher than expected and the service was better than expected. Everybody should be able to give it their all for a few hours and this place does. So happy I came. The parking lot is just a gravel pit. It may take you a minute to find a free spot and get off the lot. The restaurant is a wooden establishment on a hill. Most people order the buffet and fill up quickly so the table wait is not long. They need some more staff but the staff they do have work hard. The buffet is loaded with food. One section is a dessert bar with peach cobbler, brownies, banana pudding, and an ice cream machine. Another section is a salad bar. It has all the toppings and dressings you need. They also use the salad bar for loaded baked potatoes. They have a chill section with chilled shelled shrimp, cole slaw, tartar sauce. The hot section is the main attraction. Made reservations at The Seafood Junction with my family after one of our family members passed away. they were able to accomidate all 10 or 11 of us. The staff all went above and beyond to make this time of sorrow more bearable for us. The food was amazing and service was first class. I'm a huge fan or seafood and back home in Memphis their aren't too many places (outside of the traditional friend chicken and fish, meaning catfish/haddock/buffalo, shops) that serve seafood as it's main offerings. About 3 years ago my uncle starting telling me he just HAD to take me to this spot. Now every time I go back home I make the hour drive to Seafood Junction to get my fried food kick. The dining hall is very simple: quality wooden folding tables, clean table cloth, chairs. That's it. The service is good but since it's a buffet, they only come around for drinks (water, sweet tea, and lemonade are free; soft drinks cost $£¥), cutlery and condiments. The food is what you are there for. They serve tradition South Eastern/Delta seafood: shrimp, oyster, crab cakes, catfish, clam strips. The preparation is mostly fried and honestly that all I pay attention to. They do have a myriad of traditional Southern sides and desserts. read more

Four of us went on October 28 to Seafood Junction. Three of us had the buffet and one ordered a ribeye steak off the menu. The selections on the buffet were many including catfish filets, whole fried catfish, blackened catfish, fried frog legs, fried whole quail and fried chicken tenders to name a few. Excellent fried green tomatoes,pickled green tomatoes, fried onion rings and fried dill pickles were on the buffet. Desserts, banana pudding and/or ice cream included in the $19.95 price. The service was great, none of us ever had to ask for refills. If I can get over overeating I'll be back there to eat next week. I wish they were open more days! read more

This place is so good. I have never been to a buffet before where I can say that literally everything that I had (that I like normally) is actually delicious. This place was right on. And the sweet tea? The best sweet tea I have ever had. And I have had a lot of sweet tea being born and raised in the south. Everything was just great. It is a little pricey, at $17 a person, but it is well worth it. You have to remember, it is seafood that you're eating. Give this place a try, you won't regret it! Long and short tables. On a weekend night, expect a thirty minute wait for dinnem, even with a big line it moves along. They have a dinner menu if you have a NON-buffet champion, but I say go Buffet! I loved almost everything offered but the centerpiece for me was catfish. They offer whole catfish (my preference) and boneless filet. My son liked the boneless as its easier to approach but the little crispy edges of the whole fish catfish are truely amazing. The have a green salad to fill that need but nothing special. I though the mac and cheese was great. The pickeled green tomatoes were addicting. As a northerner, I ate the fried green tomatoes too which a good, not great! Did you ask? Yes I ate the fried frog legs! Delicious.... "tastes like chicken." The fried chicken was yummy but i really focused on the catfish. There are so many other items on the buffet. I really can't say any a bad thing about them. Dessert - Funny but they make trays of peach cobbler and this chocolate cake/lava cake. My kids both said the ooosey yummy chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream is one of their favorates of all time. I have been coming here with my family for 13 years. These people know us by name. They are a family owned restaurant open Thursday- Saturday or maybe Sunday. Can't remember. It's buffet style or you can order of off a menu. Yes, the food is fried. But this is good ole southern cooking. It's awesome. Comfort food at its finest. It's far out from Memphis. But, it's very much worth the drive for my folks and I. The hot boiled shrimp and regular cold shrimp are amazing and so are the catfish fillets. Don't forget to try the banana pudding. Also, this is totally lax place- you eat off picnic tables. Very much so hole in the wall establishment. But the food is great, it's clean, the staff is friendly. And it's good this awesome southern feel about it that I love. Make sure you sleep with a water bottle next to you that night as you will wake up dehydrated from the salt intake.
