Pulled pork bbq nachos without the bbq sauce extra queso

Tops may not be one of everyone's favorite places but for some cheese fries, it's my go too!! I have never had any complaints about the establishment, the staff is always nice and friendly, no issues placing orders, the restitution is never busy but my food is always fresh. Clean-ish! However..stop by tops!

Stopped here on a Friday night during a layover en route to Texas. We drove to another place - they were closed - I almost killed us on those stupid frontage roads that have no definitive lines and you take your life into your hands by merging onto the interstate. We went into the drive thru and ordered a couple of sandwiches and a plate of food. It was later in the night - and the meat was really dry and not that good. I didn't mind mine but overall it was old food from the day.

Had a lot of hope. Read previous reviews and was hopeful - got pork sandwich and it was all fat. Bread was good and potato salad was good. Where am I ? West Memphis has NO FOOD OPTIONS

Some of the best BBQ on God's green planet. This was yummy & a pure joy. If you never tried this stop on by and get a pulled pork sandwich and a side of skins. With a drink. Because you gatta get a drink it's so hot outside.

Tops is a perfect fast food place to get some on bbq when you're outside of Memphis and on the road. That's about the only time you want to come here. My wife ordered their brisket sandwich, which was ok. Wasn't a big fan of it. I ordered their pork sandwich with Cole slaw and it was actually a pretty decent sandwich. The pork was very tasty and had good flavor. Service was friendly and quick and the restaurant was pretty clean. Not sure if I'd repeat this unless, like previously stated I'm on the road and not in Memphis. If I was bbq though, I would still make every effort to get into Memphis. But If you can't, then Tops really isn't a bad option.

First, our expectation was not very high seeing that this is more or less a "fast food" bbq place. That being said, the food was pretty good. The dining area and restrooms were in pretty bad shape, cleanliness wise, which is an automatic "scratch this one off the list" for my wife. Still, we both enjoyed our meals. The brisket was very tender and moist but did not have a smoked flavor nor coloring. I wouldn't eat in the dining room again, but would probably order take out next time we pass this way.

Ribs are dry and way over cooked. This was a waste of money, I ended up eating Sonic

The rib plate I got was way over cooked like they microwave them. I guess not all bbq can taste as good as KC BBQ. Tops BBQ was a waste of money

Cold lifeless nachos... don't do it.

Cold lifeless nachos with nothing on them. Don't do it. Scary food temps... Arby's next door would be a better option.

Tops is a local fast-food chain around Memphis offering up charcoal BBQ and burgers. I was told the burgers are the bomb...and I was told right. I got a nice 1/4 pound cheeseburger with all the fixings. Nice and juicy and seasoned well. Crinkle cut fries were nice too. Wish I stayed in town long enough to try some of their slow cooked stuff. Next time. Definitely a good burger.

No that would be soft serve was the answer. They do have real ice cream too. We were a bit slow on the uptake, and our sweet counter girl, Emily, who was in her 20s but looked 15, patiently explained the ice cream came in a cup and the milk shakes were soft serve only, because evidently their shake machine can't handle the hard real stuff. We caved, got soft serve. We wanted malts not ice cream sprinkled with malt. *sigh.* Bella, Michael and Kennedy looked on, in training with our youthful trainer, and Kennedy remarked, "You're living on the edge," It was her first day. The place also had other retro food, except for the seed oils, which meant shakes only for us.

The basket also came with a Hawaiian roll and a single hush puppy that was tasty. The fried shrimp was plump and also nicely fried and juicy, and the accompanying cocktail sauce was decent as well. The original Coke with pellet ice in the classic red cup was very refreshing on a hot day. Definitely recommend trying it out!

I ordered wings and two dry slabs of ribs. When my family and I finally decided to eat the ribs on Monday, they were disgusting. They had seasoning caked all on them, and they were overly salty. We wiped off the caked-on seasoning and tried to eat around the saltiness. I was praying the 2nd slab was not the same. When I opened them on 5/27 to see, they were the same. I was trying to avoid calling because I just didn't feel like being bothered. But I called. I left a message for the manager to return my call that morning because "he is in the middle of an interview." So I called back that afternoon and was transferred to Ethan. I explained the situation to him. As I was speaking, he kept making the noise un-huh. So, I stopped talking and asked him what it meant aside from it just being rude as hell. He went on to explain that they missed a step and did not rub in the seasoning and shake it off. I don't care. It's an internal quality issue that should be handled with the prep and cook staff. Not me. He asked if I had my receipt and, in a tone that suggested he was doing me a favor, advised me that he would replace the slab. No apologies for the inconvenience or anything.   After my long workday, I went all the way downtown to get the slab replaced. In person, Ethan is just as rude. I asked if he was going to replace both slabs. He could clearly see the quality was trash. He said no and that he would only replace one. Then went on to offer me sides and a slice of cake. No, thank you. I can afford sides and cake just like I did those trash slabs of ribs. Those slabs of ribs cost $62.40 before taxes. With taxes probably being another 5 or 6 dollars. Your mistakes and poor quality should not cost me. He had a young lady bring the replacement slab back out to me. She didn't say thank you or anything. One thing I know is that a white man or woman patronizing your business would not have been treated this way. As a result, moving forward I will spend my Black woman dollars elsewhere on barbeque and smoked chicken wings. Also, I removed you all from my company's approved catering list where we spend a nice amount with you all yearly. Tell Ethan, thanks for helping me see the light and not spend money where I'm not respected and where my customer experience isn't valued.
