Menu on website was vastly different from the kiddy menu choices available upon arrival. Disappointing.

Nope! Not going here again. We needed to eat and everything that came up near us was pretty much fast food. This place is fairly new and not fast food, so we decided to give it a try. My husband ordered the Steak Frites. Only a small salad came with the approximately 10 oz. steak. It was extremely salty and did not even include a carb or veggie for $30! We did not even get bread before the meal! I had an Old Fashioned, my standard drink. It tasted pretty good, but the waitress kept trying to convince me there was a cherry in it, which there was not. Ok. Moving on. I had the Brie & Mushroom Flatbread. Lots of bread and mushrooms and very little cheese adorned this tasteless meal. We decided to give dessert a try, thinking it has to be better. The cake part of the Strawberry Shortcake and cream were quite good, but the halves of strawberries could be counted on your fingers. That was cake with a few strawberries and not the reverse. Note also that while quite tasty, the cake part was more of a coffee cake than a traditional shortbread. The place, though clean, had all the ambience of a hokey cocktail lounge. So, while we got food into our stomachs, Table 47 is not a place I would voluntarily return to. read more

While have great sympathy for restaurants that have to operate during Covid, I found that Table 47 was a mixed bag in terms of its ability to operate as a quality restaurant. First, the good news: the waiter was exceptional. He was patient with the 2 children we had at the table, and courteous and attentive throughout the meal. Now the bad: We have twice encountered unexplained deficiencies in Table 47's menu. In a previous visit we were informed that they were "out of steak" even though steak is one of the premier items on the menu. On our most recent visit, they were "out of chicken wings." Come on now, just who is doing the ordering for this restaurant? Unfortunately, the problem is not limited to food management - the "Steak Fritte" is advertised as a 5 or 10 oz portion. It turns out that the 10 oz portion is simply 2 five ounce steaks. Really? Perhaps that would not be so bad, but the steaks themselves are thin, tough and overcooked. Getting two such steaks is not a pleasant surprise. At the end of the meal we ordered a cobb salad to go. When it arrived, the waiter apologized that he had to pack it in 3 small containers, as the restaurant was "out of large containers." Again, who is doing the ordering and stocking for this establishment? Oh yes, the cobb salad also lacked a hard boiled egg, which, I have been informed, is normally a prime ingredient of a cobb salad. Perhaps the restaurant was "out of eggs" too? So very tasty! The food is very fresh, delicious and reasonable. We had the parallel burger, garden chicken, blackberry pear ciders and topped them off with orchard cobbler and flourless chocolate cake. Perfect. Zion was our server and she was excellent. Sustainable building, locally farmed fresh food, welcoming staff. Not only is there a fantastic restaurant, cocktail lounge, coffee and dessert bar, but there is also a games room with many video games and a bowling alley in the back. Excellent value. read more

One of my favorite new spots in the Gig Harbor area! I've been there multiple times already and have been very happy each time. The bartenders are all super friendly and personable (shout-out to Jason, Garrett, and Chris) as well as the wait staff. The dining area has a great atmosphere though I typically always eat in the bar area. My favorite part is the concept behind the restaurant, almost all ingredients are locally sourced, even the alcohol, so it's a bit different than most places. The 197 burger is awesome and so is the red beet hummus.... I know that sounds weird, tastes like regular hummus but it's a reddish pink color.... it's good. read more

The team at Table 47 is fantastic! We were scheduled to have our school auction at O5/T47 but due to this pandemic & cancellation of our in in-person auction, we switched gears. We offered our guests take-out from Table 47 and an online auction. I cannot say enough great things about the chef and staff at Table 47. They created our dinner, take-out style, and although the presentation was a challenge in take-out boxes, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! They were able to present, serve, keep hot and smile as our 75 guests picked up their food safely!! Well done Table 47, you've won our hearts yet again during these challenging times! We came in for the first time over the weekend and I was blown away by the vision around sustainability, as well as the additional family community options (bowling, laser tag) that we now have as frequent Gig Harbor visitors. But on to the food. We mainly ate appetizers while bowling, but I really enjoyed the meatloaf (in "bite" format), which was bursting with flavor and very tender. The blend of 3 types of meat blended well together for an outstanding meatloaf-- maybe the best I've had. The nachos had a delicious pulled pork that really made them stand out from your typical nachos. The flatbread was perfect as an appetizer, not too overpowering with a light crispy crust and not over-topped. The pork-belly fries were their take on "Poutine" and had pieces of crispy pork belly laced throughout a generous heap of crispy fries and cheese. You might need a nap. I was impressed that all main the ingredients were local and flavorful. The burger is called "197" because the beef is sourced the farthest away at 197 miles from Gig Harbor. The beer selection was thoughtful with all Northwest and a couple local pours including Seven Seas. The Tacoma Brewing Galloping Gertie Golden Ale was my favorite. Always like coming here. Drinks are unique and delicious and they have a large selection of WA state beer and liquor. The food is fresh and nicely put together. I like that they have different items on their menu than most places, like roasted cauliflower and brussel sprouts. They have lots of delicious flatbreads and burgers too. read more

My first visit one month ago I sat with a group of girlfriends in the restaurant and had an excellent dining experience. Service and quality were outstanding. Next visit not so great. Husband and I sat in the lounge for new Wine Down Wednesday promotion. Server seemed quite unfamiliar with offering and shared that a white blend and a red bend were the specials. Tasted the white blend and it was terribly sweet, definitely lacking in broad appeal. I passed. And since I only had the 2 wines to choose from obviously I couldn't order a flight, and the half off flat bread special was dependent upon ordering a flight so I ordered the Coho, requested medium. Husband ordered Pork Shoulder. Waited a very long time for food (server stopped by and apologized for "issues in the kitchen") and when our food arrived husband received Pork Belly. Server apologized, took responsibility for error. So, I ate my meal while husband waited for his. We requested bread so he had something to eat. My salmon was dry and over cooked. Vegetable side came and the carrots were literally raw. Husband's meal arrived after I finished and he thought it was okay but much too sweet. I'm willing to chalk that up to personal taste. Last comment that I would make is that the view in the lounge is a parking lot. I spent a good part of my visit distracted by a half dozen underage boys vaping in the bed of a pickup. Might be wise to consider structures or landscaping to interrupt the sight lines? I really support the concept of this restaurant and want to see it succeed. I'll forgive some missteps while they find their footing. But I need for the learning curve to be steep before I'm willing to choose Table 47 over other great local options in the future. Update: Tried one more time, it will be my last. This restaurant has deteriorated markedly. Many issues with our experience last night. Among them: out of macaroni and cheese and apple pie by 6, meatloaf was dry and tough, vegetable side was over cooked and colorless, soup was grainy and semi solid, zero decor in the back dining room, felt rushed by server who continually interrupted conversations and later was in performing housekeeping duties in the bathroom (ew!), told they didn't have any decaf after my meal (concluded at 7:30pm) but server would "see about getting me a pour over but it would take a awhile", staff overall looks unkempt, new menu is almost all appes because, according to our sever, they're trying to cater to the bowling and arcade crowd. I haven't even addressed all the issues, merely the unfortunate highlights. I'd still consider patronizing Ocean 5 for recreation but Table 47 is a hard no from me. read more

My server could not help me find a vegan option and said there are no substitutions. She had no idea what was even on the menu cause there were vegan options and of course I found one! I got the Moroccan dish w no dairy it wasn't very good and I wish they would sub hummus for the dairy cause it needed something to break up acid. I would not eat there again! read more

We came in on Sunday around 2 PM for lunch. Only the bar was open, but they let us sit in the coffee shop because we brought our baby. Servers were super friendly. Our food came fast. We ordered the pork belly fries and they were great! We both got cocktails and they were unique and perfect. I ordered the farmhouse salad with chicken and it was so great! I ordered steak medium rare and my boyfriend ordered the short ribs. First visit for lunch-Not impressed. Ordered the $16 "parallel burger" from an apathetical server, who, after taking my order, just silently walked off without a word! Twenty minutes later, another person/server/runner ?? deposited a burger on a plate along with an order of french fries, onto my table. Interestingly, this person also spoke nary a word to me. Hmmmm. The burger was smaller than I had anticipated, this being the "flagship" offering in that department. More worrisome was its temperature, and that of the french fries. Both were lukewarm at best. A reorder came out 10 minutes later, it wasn't much warmer. No apologies from my server or from management about the cold food, although this place was full of idle employees. I would eat somewhere else. Nice decor, but the human factors and the lack of good service and basic manners can't be ignored. read more

We were in town for a Wedding and the B and B recommended this place. We had a 3 mo old baby so needed a kid friendly place. There is a bowling alley, coffee bar, and then this great restaurant. Kris was an excellent server He was extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was delicious and fresh. The tacos were all good, especially the rockfish. The Cubano sandwich, soup and fries were delicious too. We were greeted quickly, and the food was fresh and fast which was great with an infant who can wake up at any minute. Beautiful ambiance. My second visit here for dinner was underwhelming. The pitch is, it's local and so on. Yes, but money needs to be made to pay for the massive overhead this place has. The profit is in the small portions of food that are mediocre tasting that you'll be paying a high price for. Portions are quite weak for the price. Drinks are pricy and mediocre. Let me tell you about this place, walked in no one greeted me so I walked in to the bar and sat by self at the bar. There were three bartenders and 6 people at the bar. No one greeted me here either so I fledged down one of the bar tender and asked for a beer and two menus for dinner so he did. I got my beer and after a while my son joined me and he had glass of wine. It's was about 20 minutes now I wanted to order my dinner but no one ch checked on us to see if we need anything or ready to order. I was thinking now that we are invisible to them no one cared to asked me for my order or even to check on us. May be the lady manager came to the bar and talked to a couple and her husband rubbing her back did not care my service my dinner cost $56. Entry and beer. This the worst of service I ever had. Unfortunately not very good. Disappointing, over priced and just frustrating. The place looks nice and the food is pretty on the plate. The taste and quality just does not match the looks. Service was not timely, yet there were enough employees to run a ship. Prices were higher than the food and service warrant. The is an overwhelming appearance that they are trying to be something that they are not. Get rid of the smug appearance, lose half of the greeters in the front and concentrate on preparing and delivering good food. Take a couple bucks off the prices, too. First off I'm from out of town, I was visiting my aunt and uncle. I don't consider myself a foodie however I do dine at high-end establishments frequently. Where Table 47 has the idea of being a trendy restaurant it doesn't quite pull it off. We ordered the Butcher's board for our starter, when we asked what was on it specifically asking which meats were which that were on the card, two different waitstaff could not answer the question. Our server volunteered to get the chef but we declined, thinking he had other things to do than answer our inquiry. Not 10 minutes later, while we were still working on the board they served us our food. We were clearly not ready for it but it was served regardless. The food itself was okay, I had the farmer's chicken, which was good and the grits were very nice and flavorful. My aunt had the cheesy steak sandwich, which was what you expect, She ordered cheesy grits and raved about them. My uncle had the cubano, which I had some, it was a little odd because they put a sweet, hot pickle on it instead of the classic dill but it worked. We also ordered the jackfruit BBQ with parsnip fries (those are amazing BTW, that is what my Uncle had as an accompaniment to his sandwich). to go at the end of the meal with everything separate so it could be reheated for my mother who did not attend. We finished, they asked about dessert and we had the flourless chocolate cake, which was good. They did not box our leftovers, leaving us to do it, which isn't a horrible thing but not something I've experienced in an establishment like theirs, more akin to a Denny's. The waitstaff was inexperienced, could not answer some questions and menu knowledge was lacking. I think that in a few months it will be better. Then once we got home we realized that the to go sandwich was only half there, the parsnip fries nor anything besides the jackfruit and bun made it out of the restaurant....not great. I had the New York strip with the vinegar grilled potatoes and broccoli. Awesome flavors and loved it. My date had steak with french fries. All the food was great and wanted to try some of the other foods. Sever was the best. Drink selection was great. Loved it. My only complaint is price. A bit high. My husband and I have been here multiple times and have loved it every single time. From the local ingredients in the food, to the exceptional service and attention to detail are marvelous. Table 47 and the attached bowling alley go above and beyond with their mission of sustainability with local food, ingredients and even the drinks are more natural and really really tasty. They have a Blackberry soda that I love mixing with their lemon-lime soda. The restaurant itself is in the same building as the bowling alley but separate enough that once you're inside you can only hear the ambient noise in the restaurant, quickly you feel like you're in a high end establishment and forget entirely you're in a bowling alley. The hosts always are so polite and seat us with no wait whether we have a reservation or not. The ambience of the restaurant in my opinion is perfect, clean and comfortable, nice enough that we went here for our anniversary this year but also casual enough that I can wear jeans and not feel out of place after bowling with the kids. The pork belly dishes were always our go-to's but they recently changed the menu and my beloved pork belly was removed. However, with the menu change came the duck.. SO. GOOD. Please, do yourself a favor and try the duck. So tender, with that perfect crispy skin that you know is really the main reason your order duck in the first place. This is one of the worse experiences ever. How hard is it to make a burger? Seriously? Then when you send something back, you would imagine the CEC from CA and CCC from CO would know how to handle this. While working in the industry for over 20 years I have learned one thing. No matter how hard you work or effort, the customer is always right. They are very good at portion control, plate presentation, and service... but if your looking for things to be cooked properly and have flavor... wait for Hop Jacks to open... Humble pie needs to be ordered for the kitchen. Brilliant on the basics. If you can't make America's #1 dish correctly, you should close your doors. I will never be back... not because of the mistake... but because management could not humble themselves to make it right. So let's get into it. Table 47 seen like an odd mid tier restaurant (think 15 a burger 25 to 30 most entrees) because it's in a bowling alley arcade. But dont be fooled it's amazing. The food and service are on point and the creativity on the menu make you and to try things. This was my first time to Table47. There were five of us and we made a reservation online. It was pretty straightforward. Kris was our waiter and explained to those of us that hadn't been before the concept of the restaurant and the menu. I read other reviews that were critical about portion size, but after the explanation that the menu is Tapas style, the smaller portions make sense. Kris was great, there when we needed him, we never felt rushed at all. I had the Manhattan, it came recommended and did not disappoint. For starters we had pretzels and the nachos, both were very tasty. Get the cheese with the nachos, it's worth it. The steak I had came with mashed potatoes and roasted veg. Steak was cooked as asked, medium, and the veg and mashed potatoes were yummy. The apple crumble was a nice wrap to the meal, lots of spice and vanilla ice cream.
