Great experience with Tab electric. Rough start to Saturday morning when I lost power to a section of my house. Tom was able to come out same day, was upfront about the service call fee ( standard for all home services ) - he was able to trouble shoot and find the bad breaker, and replace it. He had to get creative in my very outdated panel, and was diligent about understand the amps running to that breaker so it will stay on. I'm curious about all things home repair so Tom did all his work with me asking him questions and trying to learn. Def plan to call Tom next time I have an issue! read more

DO NOT!!! I repeat DO NOT go with this company. Two employees ,Eric andRyan, came by to install a 220 in my garage this morning but instead my home ended up flooding. Obviously this is an amateur move by a company that is supposed to be licensed bonded and insured most people would turn off power and water just as a safety precaution as this is something that usually happens when working in the Attic. I have included some evidence, will update with more later as this case is still under investigation. I am not happy how the owner is handling this he is being very defensive and is not taking responsibility for his employees in the state instead of trying to blame me and saying that he shouldn't have taken this job. How am I to blame??? You said that you can do the job I was in the other room working next thing I know my house is being flooded. I will definitely update this review after things are settled. ----NEGATIVE stars---- Also if you have a problem or a complaint with them please file through ROC this also applies for any contractors that are licensed, you can file with ROC and they'll investigate and have the issue on their record. --IN RESPONSE-- This is updated to the owner's response please don't act like you had compassion because I do remember you immediately saying that you called your lawyer then HANGING UP ON ME when I called you the second time to update you on this situation. Sometimes it's BEST to just take the review as is and stop trying to damage control. I will be uploading more pictures and evidence soon. Avoid TAB Electric. We suspected that we had an overloaded circuit in our kitchen so we called TAB to correct the problem. We were charged a mandatory $189 fee to come to our home. The unmasked electrician (we were both wearing masks) quickly verified the overloaded circuit and proposed installing a new 120 volt 20 amp breaker into our existing panel and running a new 30' - 40' long wire through the ceiling to the microwave - a 3-4 hour job max. He wanted to charge us $1350 plus the $189 troubleshooting fee! For reference, at a different house 20 months ago we had a new 200 amp panel installed with permits that involved the installation of over 60 new breakers for around $2500. Yes, I understand that the cost of materials has been severely impacted by supply chain issues and shortages, but seriously, how much does a single breaker and 30' or 40' of wire cost? Another estimate that we received for this job was for $600-$800!! TAB's business model seems to be charge a high minimum trip fee and then offer to perform the job for about 2X what should be charged. Even if half the people are savvy enough to realize how much TAB are trying to rip you off and decline the work, they still pocket $189 for doing f@*k all for less than an hour's "work" and then off to the next victim. We have used TAB Electric three times and have been totally happy with them. They installed a new and updated whole house electrical panel, installed a separate circuit for a backyard cold plunge, and moved an electrical outlet which we were told (by the propane company after 14 years of propane deliveries), to be too close to the tanks. (yeah, imagine our frustration with the propane company). In all instances, TAB was highly responsive and their estimates were reasonable. Scheduling was easy. The best part was the communication on the day the work was scheduled. It was outstanding. They communicated their anticipated arrival time, and arrived on time. I was in a rush to get this thing installed before the end of the year because of the federal tax credit available to EV owners. Shout out to the office staff and Tom for being so responsive and accommodating. The electricians, Humberto and Jason were great to talk with and they answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. They worked fast and were very professional and friendly. They also replaced two hallway lamp sconces that I've needed to get done and Jason did a perfect job removing the very old sconces and not peeling/tearing paint away and making a mess. I bought two new sconces that were almost identical in size and I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do a lot of paint touchup around the area. So thanks guys! I had my coach light timer went out and I tried fixing myself. Bought new timer but the timer wasn't displaying. Tried it over and over agin without any success. I know I'm not an electrician. Anyhow, I was a little Leary about trying the Yelp quote again because I know an electrician can't really quote you over the phone. Anyhow, used Yelp quote and I got lots of responses but they all said to call them without telling me how much per hour. I even called one and they didn't pick up their phone. Hahaha. So TAB contacted me through Yelp and told me their rate of $189 per hour with no hidden fees. Straight up. They even told me they could come the next day and time. I was a little worried cause I know usually electrician are booked and can schedule you out a week in advanced. Anyhow, I had TAB come out and they came at the promised time and called before arriving. Explained my problem and they analyzed the problem, used my new timer and got it all working within a half and hour. Ryan was the electrician and he even programmed my timer and cleaned up afterwards. Ryan was very respectful and made sure I understood to cost before he started. I am very happy with Ryan and TAB Electric. If I have any other electrical issues I will for sure call TAB electric. I know this was a small job but job well done read more

I called and set up an appointment for a light to be hung and let them know it is a 20 foot ceiling. They did not come prepared with a ladder to get to the light. I let them know I have a ladder to get them there, Eric came up started moving the ladder and said oh I have a bad back and shoulder, so I moved the ladder in and set it up. Then Eric comes in and said they can't use my ladder and they have to bring a 3 man team to hang the light so the cost will have to go up. The problem is they knew it was a 20 foot ceiling when they were coming out so they should of been prepared, and then they saw my house and wanted to charge more to hang the light.
