RAMSEY, CHRIS AND TIFFANY saved me $420.00 on two Apple watches less than a week before Christmas. I needed two Apple watches for my sons for Christmas. I first went to Hawaii Kai t-mobile where they weren't very helpful or communicating well with me and they only had 1 of the watches I needed. Happy to leave I called t-mobile kahala mall, Ramsey answered and was already way more helpful and patience. He advised me to go back in there and purchase the one watch they had because he only had one also at his. He walked me through what to tell them and then told me to come to his store so he could help me active the two lines I needed. When I got to Ramsey at kahala and showed him my recite from the hawaii Kai location he notified me the watch that I had purchased from them was actually $210 off right now, a promotion that was ending the next day. Then his A team stepped in to help, Tiffany and Chris, one looked into returning the phone I had bought from another store to there's, another looked into if they had enough cash in the house to return to me and Ramsey did the new activation process of the second watch I needed. End of story I walked out of there in less than 20 minutes with the best Christmas gifts for my sons, the best customer service and and extra $420 in my pocket. The only two times I had come to this place was in a) March 2011 when I got my first and current iPhone 3G and needed to see how I can sync the internet on there. And b) February 2012 Getting advice on how to transfer my data on the 3G to the newer version of the iPhone 4 or 4S, since I am considering the upgrade. The sales people were friendly and helpful in what I was asking. I am a long time customer with T-Mobile, so at least that helped me when they pulled up my custimer information to check if I was eligible for a phone upgrade. I had my heart set on the iPhone 4 or 4S (or maybe the 5?), but they had the audacity on mentioning their other phones on their sales floor. Ugh. I hate that. I am an iPhone and I am not going back. Love my iPhone! This location is at Kahala Mall, but on the rooftop shops, near by Barnes N Nobles. There is plenty of parking, if you don't mind parking in the heat when you can park in front of the store. The parking can get problematic, since alot of people like to park in the shade and you are forced to fend for yourself in the mid day sun. The store itself is small, but adequate and air conditioned. The sales people do mean well, but I'm sure at the end of the day, they need to be pushy somewhat to make a sale or two. I imagine that I had my gripes with T-Mobile as a company, but for this Kahala location, where my questions had been answered, hopefully to the best of the staff's ability, I can say I was happy with the customer service. I will be back, although not for a while. I just need to get my hands on a iPhone 4 or 4S (or the 5, when it comes out in the fall), and see how I can transfer my 3G data over. B+ read more

I am a long time customer of T-Mobile - and of Voicestream before them. I drove to your Kahala, Hawaii Store today to get information and service about my account - and was rudely and flatly refused service by two of your employees: Amber Ramirez and Brian Rowe. This letter is a complaint. NO ATTEMPT WAS MADE BY EITHER MS. RAMIEREZ OR MR. ROWE TO ACCOMMODATE MY REQUEST IN ANY WAY. There were at least 5 employees in the Kahala store - no employee made any effort to try to serve me. These two employees had one - and only one question - did I have my driver's license, which I did not. And , if I had, I consider it an invasion of my privacy that they should ask. They are not local , state or Federal authorities. I did not intend to drive in the T-Mobile store. I came to the store prepared with my bill that I had questions about. I also had credit cards- (which had a photo) should it be necessary. I had my phone on me at all time - no attempt was made to ask or verify my IMEI. My phone has a passcode - and I have a passcode at T-Mobile. Neither employee asked for this information. Both Mr. Rowe and Ms. Ramierez carried Tablet computers with them, with which I assume they could see my account. They refused to even look at my account holding the tablets close to their chests. Actually, as the proceeded to tell me that they would not help me in any way, they pulled the tablets even closer to their chests. It seemed to me as if they were intentionally snubbing me with their actions. These are not uneducated people. Both look like they are either in college or college educated. It's difficult to imagine that they don't know they are in a service profession. I guess that's possible, however. When I visited your Kahala Store in Honolulu there were at least 5 employees, none of them were talking with a customer. Perhaps they thought their job was just to show up and collect a check. I did my best to disabuse them of this concept asking several times if there were any other strategy they could use to identify me. No suggestions were forthcoming. And they seemed absolutely gleeful at the opportunity to not serve me. I've been excited to see that T-Mobile and Sprint will join forces in bringing 5G to Hawaii. I have 4 lines on my account. I've never - for many years considered switching to another carrier. However, if this rude insulting and insensitive behavior is what I can expect in the future, it overwhelms the features and benefits you offer. read more

I used to love coming to this T-Mobile branch because I had such quick and easy customer service experiences. However, the quality of their service has significantly declined especially (it appears) since they've had new additions to their team. I may just be visiting at the wrong time and being helped by the wrong person, however that should not be a factor at all. Customer service is always important and it truly depends on the individual giving it. I visited this branch with a few questions in mind, however, I left with no clear answers. I had asked an employee a question, which she had to ask another employee for validation, and they ended up having their own conversation about something completely irrelevant and non-related to what I had asked. I visited again, recently, and that same employee again did not fail to provide useless, totally irrelevant information during my visit. Since this incidence, I try to avoid going to this T-Mobile unless I HAVE to. I really hope they improve as this branch is so convenient for me! :( read more

Just purchased the new iPhone 11 from the Kahala Mall T-Mobile. Brendan Mar helped me preorder the phone. He was very patient and very knowledgeable. I received outstanding service from him. He answered all my questions and offered a follow up service to set up my phone. Unfortunately I was not able to work him to set up my phone but fortunately I was helped by Chris another knowledgeable, pleasant and kind young man. Wow! Talk about customer service to the extreme! He helped me transfer all my data and important information. He even went the distance to help me pack up my old phone and explain all the new features on my new phone. I hate being lied to... especially by fast talking sales MONSTERS! It seems like whenever I want to buy a new phone from this store it takes forEVER. This time I wanted to buy a new HTC Radar because my 2 year contract ended. This means that instead of paying $400 for this phone, I pay $100. I first ask the sales MONSTER what the difference between the $100 phone and the $50 phone was and of course she made the $50 phone sound like a piece of crap. Then she tried to trick me into changing my plan, and paying $400 for the phone. It took an hour to tell her that I want to keep my plan and pay $100 for the phone. After this nightmare, she goes in the back only to find out that the store is OUT OF STOCK. Then she straight up lied to me and said that the only other corporate owned tmobile stores are in Kaneohe and Waimalu and that if I don't come back in a week to Kahala to buy the phone I would need to go to one of those stores... My grandfather went to the tmobile store in Market City, and it took him 10 minutes to get my phone. And low and behold, Kaneohe and Waimalu is not the only corporate owned tmobile stores... read more

This store has TERRIBLE customer service. SOME TIME LAST YEAR I upgraded my phone and wanted to put insurance on the phone. When my phone was stolen, I went to Tmobile only to find out DERRICK? had messed up and put the insurance on my SISTER'S PHONE?!?!?! And they couldn't do anything about it because the insurance is supposed to be added by a certain time after you upgrade. Well, he "fixed" it and I had to wait for a replacement phone. I go back to Tmobile to get a SIM card for the phone that came in the mail. The Manager informs me it's very odd that I got a brand new phone instead of a refurbished one but he activates the SIM and puts it in for me anyway. Yes, it was too good to be true. Turns out Derrick tried making up for his error by placing an order for a brand new phone under my name WITH NO INSURANCE. I was charged $350 and I was FURIOUS when I got the statement. I had to come back AGAIN and let me tell you, this store's wait is usually HALF AN HOUR. You literally have to sign in and wait until they call you! So, I go back and lo and behold, no one wants to help me and they instead call Derrick to come out from the back and fix it. Derrick is no Bob the Builder. He can't fix it. He tries and says okay you just have to pay the $100 as required by insurance coverage. Well, I pay and he prints out a receipt. Mysteriously it says "Air Coverage", I wonder but I don't question. A week later I find out I STILL HAVE TO PAY THE $350 and now I'm just fed up!! I go back and I try to explain to a different guy all the mistakes that happened and I show him the receipt. He tells me Air Coverage is not proof of the $100 insurance payment and I'm out of luck!!! WTF?!?!!!! I am furious and there is NO MANAGER on site to help me! Finally, I come back a different time and the guy helping me this time listens and he is so helpful. He fixes everything and I leave. When I go home I realize that he forgot to put that I did pay the $100 insurance payment and at this point, I am just tired. I have been back to this store over and over and over and I'm just going to pay the $100 and get it over with. FAST FORWARD TO AUGUST 2009 I decide to change my plan to Pay As You Go. This time Neal is helping me. He tells me the changes should be made and everything is fine. 2 weeks later, NO changes have been made and EVERYTHING is NOT FINE. WHY DO THESE PEOPLE MAKE IT SO DIFFICULT!!?? I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO KEEP ON COMING DOWN HERE SO THEY CAN NOT FIX WHAT I CAME DOWN HERE FOR! So, I go back and ugh, guess who is helping me?! That's right, Derrick. He says "Oh, I see what Neal did wrong" and he fixes it. NOT. *insert a bunch of angry statements strewn with swear words not for a mama's ear* Finally, I just drive my ass out to Pearl City (where my GF lives) and THANK GOD, someone here actually knows what she's doing!!!! Ask for Brendan Mar! After finding out my husband and I were expecting twins and freaking out about how we were going to afford three children, I went through a serious review of our monthly expenses. I was paying AT&T $188 a month for a 700 minute shared plan (this was with a 12% employer discount), with only 100 rollover minutes left from a previous, more expensive plan. I go on gazillion conference calls for work using my own cell phone, so I knew I would have to increase our minutes pretty soon, which would obviously result in higher monthly fees. NOT GOOD. I knew I could get a better deal somewhere else. Around the same time, I saw a commercial about Tmobile paying off early termination fees for you for switching over. I called AT&T and learned that I had a $285 ETF. Another reason to hate them!! Determined to make the switch, we visited this Kahala Tmobile store and worked with Brendan to outline all the steps we needed to take to make the switch. I told him our only reason for switching was to save money, and he really helped us do that! The whole process actually took 2 days because it involved requesting AT&T to unlock my iPhone, etc. My husband and I now have unlimited voice, text and data for around $120 a month (with state of Hawaii employer discount). Friggin awesome. I highly recommend Brendan Mar. You should make an appointment with him if you want to switch. He is very responsive with emails too. read more

This review is long over due! Came in about a week ago.... Horrible service by Brian, and get this.. He's a manager! He was rude rude rude. Not only to myself but to every other customer I watched him "help." I don't think being arrogant and non approachable are qualities a manager should have. Oh and btw the problem I came in to solve wasn't even solved he kept telling me to come back, later that day. So i did then asked me to come back again the next morning.. T-mobile is killing it right now with their marketing and promotions. I love thenew T-Mobile Tuesdays they have going on right now, and I love that they are totally on board with Pokémon Go! I went to this location to try and get the 50% off accessory chargers (it was a tmobile tuesday special, no doubt geared towards all us Pokémon go zombies), and for voicemail issues with my account. We were greeted by Danny, who signed us in and let us know that we would be seen shortly. Danny was pretty awesome. He is super friendly and personable, and he consistently checked up on us to give us updates about when we would be seen. I give this location four stars because the other associates did not seem to have the same level of customer service as he did. I switched to TMobile a few months ago, but apparently I never had voicemail attached to my account. I thought people just were not leaving voicemails, but my boss had to bring it to my attention that it wasn't working. The associate helping us didn't give us an explanation as to why it wasn't set up from the beginning (since it's a free service). He was still friendly enough though. read more

Kahala store is very nice and clean and we had an awesome sales man named Ramsey help us with our switching. He was so helpful and saved us a ton of money. I'm not going to spend my review here talking about various plans as I'm no expert. If you want to know about the various types of plans, go ask them yourselves. I can but simply write a review on my experience at this T-Mobile location last night, tell you I'm on a grandfathered family plan, and the prologue to this sudden visit to the place. Prologue: What started as a way to make my rough windy day better (a trip to Lanikai Juice for a quick acai bowl for myself and my family) resulted in my GALAXY S4 (or whatever it was called, darn alphabets/numbers) being crushed in between my car door. I have the phone with a broken screen to show for it. Talk about a bad day (cue the Daniel Powter "Bad Day" song). I went to Apple (heck, I wasn't going to purchase a new plan), bought an iPhone, then headed up to T-Mobile so I could have the mini SIM card activated. The sign in process was a little bit of a wait (one of the down sides), but I was desperate to have a phone. We were helped by Chanel. She helped to charge up my very dead, but very new iPhone 5c and after I purchased a durable screen protector (invisibleSHIELD), she even offered to install it. Talk about so helpful and friendly! The customer service here with Chanel was definitely impressive. Talk about great customer service! read more

There is always a long wait at this store. And I always have anxiety going there because I am always afraid that I will get one of the few employees that hate servicing customers if they are not going to buy a new phone, contract, or even upgrade. I've been here maybe like 5 times for phone problems or to purchase a phone. Two of the five times the expirience was horrible! I needed my phone replaced and the guy just get pushing me to upgrade. I did not want to because I just purchased the phone 2 months ago and it was a problem with the phone that was with the manufacturer. He basically told me to call customer service to help me. He said they would tell me where to mail the phone and how to get the replacement. I did not want to because I had to wait in line for half an hour. He ended up passing me over to a guy that was willing to help me. However, when I did go another time a grl gave a load of information of what phone to purchase. Probably because my sister and I were there to purchase something the service was exceptional. However, when I need help without a purchase then it totally sucks. read more

THE Worst Customer Service EVER!! I bought the Iphone 6s plus from them and the box i received was damaged but I excepted it.. (tried to be nice) Then, the phone was a lemon- video glitches to voice sound system was off etc.. when i tried to return it for another one, they told me to go to apple store and get help. When I spoke to the manager Jennifer about this, she didn't give a $#%# either. She said nothing we can do with a cold stern face... I know it was passed the 14 days but it was only 21 days... I thought they could give me an exception because it had obvious flaws. Bad, bad service... I will never go there. YOU shouldn't go there either. This is a RANT review for their company in general. They have no sympathy! Costly mistake that their customer service representative made because she clearly can't understand the meaning of the word NO--- this ends up charging my Dad for $150 total ($30 every month) for "Unlimited 4G web" that we CLEARLY said no to over the phone. I told them he does not use internet, and uses his phone strictly for phone calls. All the "supervisor that he spoke with" could do is credit back 2 months worth of charges because they have a 60-day policy on bill discrepancies. However, they did not remove the one currently on for this month. (So in reality, we got ONE month worths of money back). Couldn't do more even though it shows that he was not using the feature. The rude male proceeded to tell me that "In the note, it states that everything was explained to you in detail." UHH YEAH, and "I clearly explained to you that we did not want it for HIS line." Do your notes say that I SAID NO??? No. Check the charges on your bill carefully... read more

Well, after 3 separate visits, many calls to tmo cust svc in phillipines, and speaking to the kahala store manager and hawaii district manager, they didn't care that they sold us a defective phone. the only thing that kept coming out of their mouth, was 'reset your contract to 2 years again.' I talked to the manager at costco, and he let us return the garbage vibrant phone, and get a new 4g phone, without resetting our contract. This more advanced phone was $20 cheaper too now that its been 9 months later. So if you're reading this tmo staff, thanks for nothing. I should have gone to costco to begin with. I got the last laugh. but i should have never bought a contract phone to begin with, so shame on me. If you're buying a phone, and not doing it at costco or best buy, you are asking for disaster. Phone stores, kiosks, radio shack, and walmart are NOT the places to be buying this kind of 2 year jail technology. Can't wait for my contract to end, and then its prepaid boost or virgin for me baby! Already switched 2 of our 3 family phones to prepaid ($35 unlimited monthly voice and data with boost), so mine is the last of the tmo jail account remaining. read more

T-mobile has good coverage and their phones work good however their billing sucks. It varies all the time. They always have extra costs and if you don't check you will end up paying for all this made up fees. I don't trust them and would rather have less coverage than deal with a company that stabs you in the back every chance they get. read more

Meh. This location is nothing special, but it is very convenient. They've shortened the usually loooong wait times which is nice. I try as much as possible to just do everything online or over the phone so as to avoid the store. Some of the workers here are good, some have no clue what they're doing. I've been with T-Mobile since 2001 and will be leaving if the AT&T merger goes through. I'm getting more and more dropped calls, and being merged into an even crappier network won't help any. read more

My boyfriend and I were running errands around the mall, when I decided to upgrade my iPad mini to the new Air 2. I was greeted right away by a Hapa guy with cool loglasses. He took our names down and asked what we were in for. There was a girl who seemed to be finishing up with a customer, so he informed us that she would be with us right after, then he went to grab my iPad. I think the girl who helped me was "Mei". She took her time, and she informed me that she had been working for the company for only about three weeks now so technically she was still in training. She was very sweet, and did everything perfectly. Great job for still being in training if you ask me! There were two other guys who were working there, and when they were done with their customers, they came over and chatted with us. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The store is open late too, I think it's one of the few T-Mobile store to stay open until 9pm (to be consistent with mall hours), so this is a really great stop if you need phone assistance later in the evening. The wait can be a bit long, but they have chairs and lots of cool stuff to look at in the store, so you don't have to be bored or uncomfortable while you wait. Yay! read more

I'm giving my recent visit 5 stars for the following reasons: 1. Usually when I go to a Tmobile store there's a long unorganized wait. Some visits I witnessed bickering of customers.. the "I was before you" argument. This visit the line was manageable - only 2 before me. Granted I went on new years eve so I'm sure that had some to do with it. Most importantly, there was a SIGN UP sheet! Something so simple totally helps with customer service. 2. Steve! This guy gave us superb customer service. Super friendly, super helpful and even went above and beyond. There was a little line when he was helping us, but he insisted on putting my mom's cell phone charm on her new phone. He even tested to make sure her SIM card contacts went over into her new phone. Overall, this was a very pleasant visit and my mom is very happy with her new cell that Steve helped her pick out based on the features that are important to her. :) read more

I switched from ATT on an iphone bought though the Apple Store and now have Tmobile. The customer service at this store is horrible. They care more about selling you added services and features than listening to what you need and want. I can understand being a good salesperson but my "helper" lied about the full costs of upgrading a new phone and the charges to be expected. I asked to cancel a Jump service after I returned that phone to the store and they didn't remove it from my billing until I had called twice months later. read more

The first time we went to inquire about the change of plan we were lucky to speak to a manager which gave us the break down of how much money we would save changing plans. The second time we went a few months later we knew which plan we wanted so the staff quickly made the changes for us. I will now save $30/month. They are always busy so the wait can be long sometimes. I went in to just upgrade my phone since I wanted to get a new phone, but when I came out I actually got my plan changed to something cheaper with the help of Seth. He was really helpful, looked through the past couple billing cycles and saw how much we used on average in a month. I wasn't expecting this, but it put a smile on my parents' face. While I was waiting for my name to be called I was just walking around deciding between phones. When my name was called Seth had asked me if I had a phone in mind. So it was down to 2, he gave me the pros and cons of each phone--everything from the apps to features. I do wish they still had the stools to sit down, but the store looks very modern now. So when you're in next time look for Seth and he had a sense of humor with his co-workers so it was enjoyable to see them having fun at work. read more

Prefer no stars....been trying to contact T-mobile today because I'm unable to make or receive any calls. Called the general customer care line several times where I entered my number to receive a call back. Got a call back and before I could even speak to a human I disconnect...I get a dial tone. Tried over and over to call and now no answer period, it just rings. Then I tried numerous times to call the local office in Kahala, the phone just rings and rings until it disconnects with a dial tone. Thanks for the great customer service! Changed service from att to tmobile with their pricing plan for 55 years and older. took time and they require a credit check so unlock your credit report if you've locked it. Took awhile with 2 iphones and watch. Recommend you see Naomi as she was as quick and accurate with the details that are required. Ive been with tmobile since it was voicestream (if i remember correctly) but my recent experiences have pushed me to completely change carrier. In thr past 2.5 months ive had to go through 3 different warranty exchanges with no improvement. Ive paid for my insurance and i would expect a working phone. I can understand some may be lemons but how can i get all of them. What really tipped the scale is my experience today. I JUST got the exchanged phone in the mail last night with the same problem as before. So i called the customer service and was told to go to the store and exchange it again. So i went to the store and the rep i spoke to (Brian) started off nice enough. Gave me the usual run around with the diagnostics and blah blah blah. Then he came back with the same result that nothing is wrong and to switch it out again. So i told him that i am EXTREMELY fustrated with not having a working phone for months and there must be some other option or solution than to keep switching broken phones. He became very irate with me and said that i need to understand where he is coming from and started to argue with me that theres nothing he can do and I need to either call customer care again or just take whatever he says. Thank goodness that another lady (the one who checked me in) had advised him to call customer care for me to discuss the situation. I have been a loyal T-mobile user for almost two decades now. well, sure, I did stray a couple of times, but eventually returned to the service I felt was dependable, budget conscious, and that I knew would take good care of me. Well, tonight I feel like walking out the door for good! My phone was stolen this morning, and I have spent ALL day trying to submit a claim. I first tried over the phone.. but I did not have a PIN. So the friendly customer service representative set one up for me and tried to transfer me to the insurance company.So I started that process and, as expected, they wanted my pin. so I proudly repeated my brand-new pin only to be told " no that is not correct" and be sent back to T-Mobile to get a pin. But the. t-Mobile people Insisted my pin was correct. So one customer service rep volunteered to stay on the line to ensure that my pin was accepted. " Hang on, I'll put you on hold while I reach them " she said. That was the last I heard from her. The call failed after 12 minutes of hold. And so my day has gone.....when after several similar phone attempts I tried to file my claim on the web, I was stymied when the computer says they are sending my phone a verification text. MY PHONE IS STOLEN! I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO IT TO VERIFY A TEXT! The insurance program is a boon to T-Mobile. I would bolt from them so quickly if I did not have insurance. So I had lost my Mytouch 4g and I am not a phone tech kind of person. I had a back up old nokia phone and an extra sim card. So I went to this Tmobile location because I was in the area. I didn't know I could've dialed a simple call to 611 and I could've had my phone reactivated with a representative. I was charged $20 for the guy to tell me what to do. I mean he was nice, but I kinda felt ripped off because I had what I needed, I just didn't know what to do. I probably could've called one of my friends and they would've known. SIGH. Went over here today to try and finagle my way into a Nexus One. It's one of the few actual store locations in Honolulu (the other being downtown on Alakea St.) Unfortunately, it's going to be difficult. 8( Google's not being nice in this case, but we'll have to wait until Verizon comes out with it and then see if T-Mobile is allowed to also. I've purchased quite a few phones from this T-Mobile store in the past four years and I have to say I'm pretty happy with their customer service although I do wish T-Mobile would get a better selection of phones. I've stuck with T-Mobile because of their excellent customer service and the service itself has been great for me That said I just upgraded my phone from the Motorola Razor (piece of shit) to the Blackberry Curve. Now this is my first Blackberry and all I can say is SNAP! This is one badass powerful phone. Why you may ask? Well for starters its sheik light weight design alone is sexy. Functionality is superb and has a wide range of applications I find invaluable for my business and personal needs. I'm able to communicate with a whole host of tools including ten e-mail accounts of my choice, a blackberry e-mail account, GMAIL, AIM, MSN, GTALK and Yahoo instant messaging, MMS, SMS, and of course the obvious which is the phone itself. The speaker phone is impressively LOUD and clear which helps a lot when conferencing. The screen display is rich and vibrant with color, very easy on the eyes. The QWERTY keyboard is quite easy to use and that track ball is so sweet and responsive. Web browsing is really nice because I can retrieve plenty of information such as weather, stocks, external email and news where ever and whenever I want. The beauty of this phone is it's built in WiFi which automatically switches (depending if you're near a hotspot or wireless @ home) from EDGE to your home internet cable. The ring tones are awesome and you can use your mp3 music if you wish. You can also add up to a six gig sd memory card to store everything from pictures, files and music... oh yes, speaking of pictures this is the first BB with a two megapixel camera with built in flash. Now the BB Curve has a lot more features than what I've just mentioned but don't take my word for it. Go check it out yourself yah know? This location is one of the best Tmobile shops that I have been too. I came in a few months ago looking to get out of my sprint contract. When I entered the store I was greeted by Brian. Brian informed me of the Early Termination policy that Tmobile offers, the one that pays off the fee for people switching over to TMobile. That right there had me sold. Brian informed us of all the perks of TMobile. I respect his honesty and he was very friendly. I went back to this location just the other day to drop in and look at the New phones and right off the bat, Brian acknowledged me and said "Hey, its been a few months. Welcome back!" I would def recommend going to this location and seeing Brian to help you out with all your cell phone needs read more
