I give this place a solid A for effort. Unsurprised to see a review already that references KP; They were definitely my internal gripe walking into the store. That and "someone is sitting there!" shouted by two reps at the front, followed immediately by a "how can we help you" that sounded a lot more like "how can we get you the f. out of here?" To any employee reading this, I'm sorry I walked in with an attitude. It was about 6 straight days on the phone dealing with a service issue: my phone received some texts and not others, and no photos. At a location in Sunset, we had already swapped the SIM several times. We put it in another device and the same issue happened. So I wasn't in this store to fix my service. It obviously was damaged somehow beyond repair, and only a conversion to the Magenta plan might clear things up. I took this to mean the honchos over at T-Mobile corporate got wise to the fact that my ONE plan was, in fact, actually unlimited, versus the metered "unlimited" plans now offered by all mobile carriers. I wanted to hold onto my ONE plan for dear life. But T Mobile, man, you've changed. Customer service at all levels was ranging from average to patently incompetent, they didn't know a resolution to something or couldn't do anything about it. They couldn't offer concessions to longtime customers. All they really had going for them was a pleasant demeanor.. ..except for KP, who seemed to have a stick permanently lodged up their butt. Still, KP offered to put in a different SIM with a Magenta plan on it, when I asked. Something about their demeanor and just my over-all experience, I told KP I just "needed a change" with plans to move to Verizon. I wish that was the end of it, but remember I couldn't receive text messages. So in order to keep your phone number, you need what's called a transfer PIN. And in order to get a transfer PIN, T-Mobile must send you a one-time PIN via text message. There's no other way to verify who you are, they do not do email. I'm over at Verizon trying to finish all this up, and no one at T-Mobile can help on the phone. They tell me I must go onsite and show my ID. So I head to the shop across the street from Verizon, and they tell me they are a third-party supplier. So then I thought, hey, you know which authorized retailer would be happy to see this face again?! KP. I was feeling my sado-masochist vibes. I walk in and explain the situation, and at first KP is like, "You're not going to like what I have to tell you- you have to log onto the T Mobile app to get your transfer PIN." Therefore needing the one-time texts I won't be getting! I just stared at KP and asked if they could call someone, which they did. On my way out, KP said, "I'm very sorry for the confusion" which honestly is the only moment that made me leave 4 stars today. Because this person does genuinely seem to have an attitude problem. But maybe that's because they're putting up with an epic amount of crap a day. Who knows. Anyway good riddance T Mobile! You sure tried to hang onto this one customer as long as possible. I wish you didn't go downhill in the pandemic. read more

The wifi is awful - it is spotty and weak. They overcharge for phones. You can't call a store to ask questions. I'm being charged A LOT more for wifi than I was at Xfinity. I could swear the phone I got is refurbished. It's not a new phone. It's a piece of garbage that isn't worth $600+. My recommendation is to stay as far away as possible from Tmobile. read more

This is a good company. I use their mobile phone service for several lines and also their home wifi service. The StarLink is going to be in beta testing at T-mobile in 2025. Their price is promised not changed. T-mobile keeps their promises. Highly recommended On the other side, the Xfinity (Comcast) is the worst and dishonest business. Stay away from Xfinity. Not Recommended. I was sold on a holiday promotion and assured that by changing plans to the new 5g plan that my total bill would reflect a $30 per month increase. This was displayed to my on a tablet in the store, side by side with my old plan. I was lied too!!! My plan was up $130, part of the problem was an unauthorized insurance added to the plan but even after removing this my bill is still $75 more monthly . The local store couldn't help, and I was told to contact customer service by dialing 611...they couldn't help either. No resolution, not even a credit to last months bill! Poor business practice. They obviously don't care about customer satisfaction or retention. Hence my one star review. Last contract I have with T-Mobile!!!! read more

Well first of all i've been with sprint since1998 and i wasn't very happy that T Mobile took over because ive heard really bad stories on this company the towersvand customers service sucks ass. But i have a cheaper price since ive been with Sprint for so long and T Mobile doesn't have one until the T Mobile employee Angelica Lopez just told me they have a great deal for us sprint customers who will become T Mobile customers. So here was my experience since this store is now T Mobile and since Covid is still here they only let 7 people in at a time and you just waiting outside but if you are disabled they will bring a chair for you sit dwn and they disinfected the chair and they have Sanitize station right at the door as you walk in. The Employee named Angelica was very nice and helpful especially with these new phones that just came out and If you have one and it's broken they will send it out now and give you a loader phone that is close to what you have. But in this case they only fix the issue where you charge it because i told her that the won't charge because saying water or moisture and when i got a warning it said shake your phone and wait few hours until drys out and just use a wireless charger and i actually have one so that's what i did until i came here today. Angelica Lopez, said there was no water damage or moisture in it and she cleaned up and also said that i needed to keep my phone on the 5 G and i said "NO" because the area i live in you don't have your T Mobile towers up yet and my phone doesn't work on your Towers yet she said because i was on sprint network and needed to switch over to them "what"?!? I did that and STILL didn't work so i put it back to sprint network until you have T Mobile up in my area im KEEPING the sprint network on. So why are you saying you are number #1 when you are having issues with it? Well Angelica said they are working on that to become a better working Network with all the new up grades on the towers around the world and with the sprint customers will have to move over to T Mobile or you won't have service, so in the meantime just wait until i get the letter saying they will give me a better deal then what i have now with sprint and will get Netflix for "FREE" I heard you have to pay for 2 lines so don't be lying to me because unless you put in writing i don't believe you. But Hulu is cheaper then Netflix so I'll just pay for that because i love Netflix they have great movies and shows on here. Oh as you can see by the pictures i took you stand in the feet boxes and just wait until its your turn and this T Mobile store is bigger then the one on 5th and mission and you can park on the streets or in the parking lot for up to a hour. Oh yes i get it as for myself don't like changes but they are a better Network then the rest that's out now and time goes on they will just get even better and yes depending on who you speaking with it's a hit and miss on the customers service and my first time was great and hope in the future it will continue to be a great experience with customers service especially if i go to T Mobile Employee Angelica who was very nice and patient with me specially because i was asking many questions about T Mobile. So if you come here just ask for Angelica Lopez and here is her card and she speaks Spanish for those who don't really speak English that much. I've been with T-mobile for years! I've had my ups and downs with T-mobile, but we managed to figure out the problem(s). Yesterday I accidentally dropped my phone before going on my bike ride. I didn't know how it landed until I went to pick it up from the road. I saw it landed face down. My worse thoughts was already racing through my head. Point is, my screen cracked. I had a glass shield protector on it, and it cracked right through. Go figure. I took my phone to a place on Mission, thinking maybe I will get a good price on cracked screens. OMG, 200 bucks the guys says. Then his discount, 180...hmm, I did the obvious and left. Then I thought, wait I have insurance. Low and behold, I pay 16 bucks a month for it and I paid 29 bucks to get it fixed. Thus in actuality 45 bucks, but I am definitely not complaining. It beats 200, 180 or anything above what I paid for with my insurance at T-mobile. The best part is that I was able to take my phone in to the store the same day and got it fixed in an hour or 2. Not bad at all, vs having to wait for your phone in the mail etc. The guy who helped me out was very friendly. Thank you T-mobile for always being of service to me. read more

Completely terrible customer service. Dreadful. As a customer of near 20 years, one would think the tmobile would want to maintain customers of such loyalty. They do not. I called customer service dozens of times only to get a Philippines server farm every time. English is not their dominant language so a lot is lost in translation. Add in they sound as though they are in a karaoke club , with screaming and yelling in background. Incredibly bad business. I called every listed number asking if anyone could speak to me in the US , no they cannot, it is karaoke club or nothing. After 7 attempts, visiting T Mobile with suggestive workarounds, based on id evidence, Paola M. who works at T Mobile Protreo, was over the top helpful and persistent with T Mobile Care and made it happen, where I was able to provide a variety of ID's to turn-on my insured replacement phone. When you visit the T Mobile Protero Store at 1698 Bryant Street, you must ask for Paola M. She deserves the word-of-mouth business, and truly cares about client retention! Because she could have sent me off, with the statement, "I know it's tough, but you will just have to wait for your California DL, which can be up to 3 months. I convinced my husband to move his number from Verizon to T-Mobile. We went to the store at the Potrero Centre. The person spoke to us like we were stupid for not knowing the technical terms and requirements for what was needed. It was obvious they didn't care less when it came to providing assistance or guidance, apart from Google it. I hope the text message they were engrossed in was important, because we certainly weren't. Nothing achieved and will never step inside that store again. read more

I am so sad after 12 years of being a loyal customer I needed a little more time to pay my bill. My request didn't fit with TMobiles automated pre determined pay dates. Usually I could comply with their strict pay boundaries but one time I needed some concessions. No, I owed 39$ and my phone would be suspended Iam 80 years old live on a fixed income and had 12 years of loyalty and good credit. I don't think TMobile deserves my account. I don't recommend this company today. As a younger company their service was more compassionate. I had a great experience today. I was looking to switch carriers and my salesperson Angela was lovely. She was patient and helped me switch carriers and gave me suggestions on my phone purchase. Also there was another woman working next to her (didn't get her name) who was equally patient and sweet with her customers. I noticed that as well. Brought in a new phone 4 SIM card. Should have been an easy set up. Technician could not figure out how to turn on the mobile hotspot on the new phone. He spent nearly an hour, Telling me that the new phone didnt have the mobile feature. He didn't know how to turn on the feature from the set up. Mack at the Bryant St location, has no Customer Service skills whatsoever.. i came in because I had difficulty accessing my SIM card to my old and replacement phones..and with all of my data transferring over, the only helpful thing he did was use his little tool to open the SIM card slot and place it in the replacement phone. He didn't check my account at all, if he had he would have seen that I've been a customer for 17 years - previously with Sprint before the merger..He offered no help or support on getting my remaining data onto the replacement phone except to tell me that I need to start over?. WTH.. if I knew how to do it, I wouldn't have come to the store for assistance. He was dry and very short in the conversation as I tried to figure out the issue.. he had no desire or motivation to help, assist, over new or additional products, etc. when I commented on his lack of customer service skills, he shrugged and could care less.. I asked who his manager was he said Jeff, and still could care less if my problem was resolved.. unfortunately he was the only person in the store or else I would have asked for someone else.. he obviously needs a new career because his customer service skills were at a O. The only reason why I gave a 1star is because at least I got my SIM card in the replacement phone.. Beware of T-Mobile. They used a classic bait-and-switch tactic to lure me into switching to their mobile service. In the Redmond, Washington store, I was promised 3 lines and unlimited data under their MAGENTA MAX 55+ plan for $90/month. For the last 4 billing cycles, I have paid $135/month. When I called customer service, they told me the $90 price is a promotion and it takes 3 months to show on my bill, and when it takes effect, they will deduct the amount I overpaid. On my 2nd call to customer service, I was told my plan is not eligible for the promotion. read more

The service "experts" on their phone service is the worst first you get transferred to two different people and have to give the same information each time you talk to a different person then when they transfer you to a so-called supervisor you can look forward to having repeat all the information again and watch your issues are. I had to get my device replaced under warranty the first device that I was sent was defective in the process of trying to have that device replaced they made one order shifted they canceled it cannot tell me why they canceled it yet they said they resubmitted the order and had another one mailed. When I arrived at T-Mobile 6 days after the device arrived which was only supposed to be one to two day turn around. Both devices was sent to us and then when the guy in the store tried to switch and put my service on the new device he wasn't able to the regional manager who is there wasn't able to do it each time they had to go into the back office and close the door as if I was buying a car until the young man got on the telephone and tried to find out what could be done to correct the issue after an hour of standing there a little more than an hour and then he retreats back to the back room again with his regional manager well I continue to wait out in the lobby at that point I decided just better to leave to go and see if I can't have my service changed over to a different carrier. Thinking that maybe even one of them might try to call me back yet that still has not happened so on the scale of 0 to 10 zero being the lowest I wish I could go lower. read more

He guided me through everything I asked and was readily available for the whole process. He even communicated w my mom over the phone and made my visit worth it from start to finish.
