I've been a loyal T-Mobile customer for 9 years (and with Sprint before that), and both of my recent visits to TMOBILE at Norridge and across from HIP locations were extremely disappointing. Thinking maybe it was just that HIP mall location, I went to the other T-Mobile across the street from the mall. Unfortunately, I had a nearly identical experience. While the two employees there were busy with another customer, I still waited over 10 minutes without so much as a "we'll be right with you." I understand stores get busy, but a simple acknowledgment is basic customer service. Both of these visits left me frustrated and disappointed. Customer service should never make you feel invisible, especially when you've been with the company for nearly a decade. These Norridge locations are not representing T-Mobile well, and I hope management seriously addresses the lack of professionalism and willingness to assist customers. When I was acknowledged, I was escorted to a laptop and enter the claim myself. (As if I worked there.) I complied, sat down with a laptop, and entered all of the information on my own -- filing the claim. In my opinion, that is her responsibility as a T-Mobile customer service representative. Later, when I called T-Mobile directly, I was told employees are supposed to help customers with claims in-store, which confirmed that she chose not to fully assist, which in comparison over the phone service is night and day. read more

I went in to transfer my phone over from the old Apple to the new. I arrived at 6:35 and they were quick to tell us if your transfer isn't done with us you have to leave the phones with us. Funny how a year and a half ago, when we bought our phones and switched over at this location, they had no problem staying past closing to finish a sale. They have no desire to provide customer help. They are just worried about getting out on time. Horrible place. Customer service is dead here. 8:05 PM and it is still open. I went to the location at the Harlem and Irving Plaza, we waited 15 minutes before starting the process, and we still were done at 7:58. read more

Very rude! Told me they couldn't get in my business account because I'm not authorized user which I am I'm the owner of business and also they should help me put me as an authorized user! JASON was very rude instead of helping gave me attitude about policy! Funny because I went to next door at the hip mall and they told me I'm in the account and I verified everything and gave them access code pin and had no issue for them to fix my account as being authorized user . Clearly an error on their end which they should of fixed instead of giving me problems for it !! Very rude Casandra was another manager and clearly didn't want to help either . All I wanted was to change my router that I been paying for 7 months without working!!! We've been here a few times, and had decent service, but our most recent visit was really good. In the past, as mentioned in another review, you feel that everything is being done in Polish. We've also had to wait for quite a while on at least 2 other previous visits. However, our most recent visit was very fast and really good. We brought in 2 new phones we purchased somewhere else (as I won't pay full price for any phone). Both phones have a lot of stuff on it, photos, texts, apps, etc... so we were concerned about losing any of it. We did get there right when they opened as it was right after the holidays, so that helped with having to wait for sure, as it was getting busy when we left. Michael was the employee who helped us. While it may be something easy for him, doing this so often, he made our day super easy & smooth. He showed us how he uses the app from Samsung to transfer everything between each phone. Again, I realize it's not something he did, the app made it easy, but it would have taken us a long time to probably figure it out. LOL! He was just super nice and we were out of there in less than 10 minutes. We hope that if we or when we need to go to T-mobile again, we get this same kind of service. We do love their military plan, so we're not planning on leaving anytime soon! read more

Especially Edson took care of me and my husband as an older couple but new phones he did an excellent job and he made sure before we left we were able to understand how our news phones work he's so knowledgeable about the product ... very patient with us .. Sat outside the store for over 15 mins and no one is there. Store hours are 10am and it's passed 11am. No one inside store, no one answering the phone. Absolutely ridiculous. Called to complain to T Mobile customer service about this and was hung up on by the representative. Issues like these are the exact reason why I canceled my service to begin with and now I have to be inconvenienced driving around looking for another store to return a dumb 6 year old hotspot router to. I recommend going somewhere else to a store that actually opens when they are supposed to and answers the phone during business hours. I've been here a few times but try to avoid this location and go to another location if I can. The store itself is a good size, it has everything your typical cell phone provider would have. The service is what makes me nearly despise this location. I'll start with my lone good visit out of about a dozen. I began having problems with Blackberry where it would randomly turn off it's service and would change to "SOS" mode. Anyone who has had this problem understands how frustrating it is. You can't send or receive anything, and it's not about your location, it just randomly happens. So I went in and explained my problem and the employee informed me that I was having the issue because I had an old SIM card that didn't support the new 4G network that T-Mobile offered. He switched out my SIM card and I was out in 5 minutes. That's my only good story. Beyond that, the service has been terrible here. I've never been greeted when entering even when the store isn't busy. The employees make themselves unapproachable so I'm stuck standing around looking at products I'm not interested in. As a few others have noted in their reviews, the employees will stand around speaking to each other in Polish, neglecting that I'm a well-paying customer in need of assistance. I'm an extremely easy-going customer, I'm not the type to go out of my way to complain or return something if I'm not satisfied; so for me to be frustrated by this, you know it's completely unacceptable. But again, it's a cell phone service provider, I probably shouldn't expect much huh? read more

If you have been to one cell phone retail store you have been to them all! The retail store has a great selection of phones available, from flip phones to PDAs. I am a Blackberry man so I am happy with the quality of services I am receiving from T-Mobile. I receive my emails quickly and without trouble which is key for me since in my line I work I receive and send out at least 600 emails a month. I use to be a Sprint carrying member but I ended up having too much trouble with their costumer service so it was time for me to move on. Through my journeys I stumbled across T-Mobile, so far so good! I love their plans, I think they are the most affordable out there, believe me, I know because I shopped around for a while until I found out what is best for me. So when I walked in I was immediately greeted (Which is always a great move) and treated like I was the only one in the store. I am a bit picky so I tend to ask a lot of question so bless the girl that was attended me because she really earned her commission! Every question I had got answered and I left there with a 2 year plan & a smile. I did have a small problem with there customer services but it all got taken care of when I spoke to someone at this store location! That is why I am reviewing this specific location. read more

Unfortunately, I did not do my homework before paying this place a visit. I purchased a very expensive phone almost a month ago as a gift for someone. When I inquired about insurance I was told it could be purchased at anytime for $8 a month. Now I am told that the information I was given was wrong, completely wrong. Too late! it's been over 14 days and over 14 days that I relayed this info to the Bday person. They would not budge and only offered an apology for the false information. Great customer service from start to finish. Very friendly staff and extremely accommodating to my transferring of phones. Only aggravation is the new security protocol requiring a wait time when you pick out a new phone. Horrible customer service. I went in to get a replacement screen protector and was told it would be arriving in 5 to 7 business days. 2 weeks went by and nothing came in the mail. I called back and the same girl told me there must have been a mistake, and she would order it again. Then she ordered the wrong one. I caught it while I was still on the phone, because they sent an email confirmation, and she said she would correct it and I would receive another email with the correct info. I never got the 2nd email. I called back 5 days later and was told by the store manager Merza that I would have to come into the store because they can't do anything over the phone. Then she said they can't replace my screen protector because Protection 360 only covers it for 2 years. That was a lie. I called T-mobile corporate and was told it's unlimited, as long as I still have Protection 360. They sent me a bill credit so I could buy one on Amazon and advised I don't go back to that location again. Trust me, I won't. read more

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of meeting Michal. Coming from a telecommunication/ retail background myself, I can attest that Michal is one of a kind. I was sent to this location after visiting another (less helpful) T- Mobile in the area. And I'm so glad I was. Michal was fantastic- personable, patient, informative, and incredibly helpful. Before coming in my family and I had been shopping around for a different carrier. Michal no frills sales attempt is rare to come by. He explained everything to us step by step and never once did he make us feel rushed. I will come back because of Michal, He couldn't have been more nicer. read more

Worst location that I have EVER been to! The process of exchanging a phone should not be this difficult. Staff was very rude and unprofessional. I had to come in twice in one day in order to get a phone replaced. When there the first time, it took them 8 min to acknowledge me. I was standing right at the counter. Half the staff was not busy. When I had to come back, one guy that did not want to help me was at the counter. He did not want to talk to me directly or make eye contact. My dad was with me this time since he wanted to get some info, but after this experience I think he will go elsewhere. The customer service on the phone is better and faster. read more

I agree with the rest of reviewers. Avoid this location and go to another or even better change your service provider. I renewed the contract but took new phones for two of my lines. I wanted to cancel unlimited internet but the seller said that I have to wait a few months and then I can cancel this service. I called a few months later and guess what, Tmobile representative told me that I can't cancel the service, it is require for this line and I agreed with that by signing the contract. Great. Hated This Location, avoid at all cost. Store full of store employees (8 employees and 3 customers around 1:20PM on Friday) and Nobody will great you when you walk in or offer any help whats so ever. My husband and I each purchased a cell phone in October, 2011 with the assistance of Peter, a staff associate. Since then I have been back to the store numerous times because of my problems using the phone. He has always been very helpful and patient in answering all my questions and troubleshooting any problems. The most recent visit on Saturday, took about an hour of his time to troubleshoot a memory problem and to reset the phone. Customer service in this store is excellent. read more

I've purchased an expensive phone, but with the phone they squeezed a little speaker which I have no purpose to use. Of course, nothing is free and they add the price of the speaker ($200) into the phone price. I got mad when I noticed that on my phone bill but the store management stated that I agreed to it. I didn't read the agreement and the little speaker shows up there, however, the store manager is a person who I've known for more than 10 years as well as half of the store staff. Shame on me for hanging out with a wrong people but the store rides on lies with no regrets. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

If you thinking about getting T-Mobile please read!!!!!! I wouldn't recommend this store or company! Insulting customer care, and they don't keep promises. This is how shady they are as a company. I called customer care trying to open up an account for my family and get them their iPhone 6 Plus. I gave them my info and ran my credit and said, they approved me for a class C credit (it means it's a pretty good credit). The only thing I had to pay was $285 and some cents. During my call my call with customer care I went ahead and gave them my credit card. They told me everything went ok and that they send me an email that I had to put my e-signature to finish it off. Me being excited to give my family member their iPhone 6 Plus and because they didn't have any phones at the current moment. I had the phones being ready to be shipped next day. When I checked my email later on that night to do the e-signatures for the contract there was a problem with the payment. I called customer care to see what was going wrong (they already told me that everything was fine). They told me the bank didn't let payment through and just to call the bank to resolve the situation and to call them bank to process the payment again. The Rep gave me a big attitude just because I was question why they didn't call me to let me know something was wrong, because my phone was not going to arrive on time. Problem number #1 they didn't call me to let me know something was wrong, after they said everything was ok. So I called the bank and they said that due to a lot of fraudulent activities that people have been doing and the first time I ever made a payment to T-Mobile they declined the payment to protect my account. I got things resolve with the bank and called T-Mobile customer care again to get this things through. Turns out that whoever was on the phone messed up completely and ran my credit again (which had no purpose because I already had an order# and rep# who did it). Don't know how many times this rep messed up they said that now my credit went from a C (once again it's good credit) to an H (bad credit). Now instead of me paying $286 they were asking for $1126 or more. I told the rep he made a big mistake and the Rep got hostile with me and I explain my whole situation. I asked him to please transfer me to his manager. He failed to comply with my request and continued to be upset. I continue to argue with him and then he finally pass me to her supervisor. I explained the whole situation to the supervisor. Turns out the supervisor didn't due anything and gave me an attitude too. They told me I had to go to a store personally to fix this situation. That whole process was already 2 days worth of my time. I started this process on Friday. Monday came and decided to go to this location to get this whole nightmare done with. I brought my notes that contain my order# rep#s of all I dealt with not to mentions they all had attitudes. I spoke to Mario and Steven (store manager). I told them the situation and what was going on. Gave them my notes with all the info and I showed them my email stating how much I had to pay. The manager and the employ said to not worry that they "SEE" in "THEIR SYSTEM" that I had a class "C CREDIT APPROVAL". Steven the manager said don't worry I promise you this will all be taking care of and activate the original order (the one with class C). I said to my self finally nightmare is over. Man was I wrong!!! They said that they have my iPhone's because they were back order. And if I was to order the phones to be deliver they wouldn't know when I would get them not even an estimate time for them, and if I place the order I would have to start paying for services (which is a problem who wants to pay for a service that they can't even use yet until the phones arrive and you don't know when they will arrive, what happens if a month pass, I would have to pay $167 for the month (because that would be my monthly bill) I said to my self can't do that!). Mario told me that he had a better solutions and that their was going to be a shipment coming up this next week. read more

I am giving this poor review only because I am not happy with the way that TMobile and the manager of this particular store handled my recent LG G3 purchase. For my birthday my fiancé purchased this smartphone for me and added me to her TMobile account. It is my first smartphone. We initially tried to purchase the phone online but were prevented because my fiancé was not listed as the primary account holder -- although she is. Rather than trying to fix this issue online and over the telephone with customer service, we drove to the 7309 W Irving Park store and bought it there. The problem is that we lost the $24 saving and free $49.99 case that were being offered online. When I asked the store clerk whether she could give me a free case, she said that she would check with her store manager. The store manager said no, but offered 50% off a second case if I bought one at full price. This offer was useless to me, as I need just one case. I feel that this entire scenario represents poor customer service -- especially for a brand new TMobile and smartphone user. read more
