I was so excited to eat here. It took us 5 minutes to get recognized when we walked in (someone at the bar had to alert the staff) and the service was lackluster. People were getting their food and order taken way before us that were seated after us. My food was delicious, however my dining partner said theirs was lukewarm but had to wait 5 minutes after my dish arrived to get theirs!!! I know they haven't been open very long so I chalk it up to staffing. I will give it one more chance. read more

One of my most favorite small authentic Italian restaurants on the coast or bay. Food is phenomenal and each bite you taste the freshness of the ingredients and the wine selection is top notch. The bartender and wait staff are always friendly and welcoming, be it for there or to go. If you blink you'll pass it but if you don't miss it make sure to stop and get the meatball sliders or the bruschetta on their in-house made bread. All pasta is made in house and it shows the amazing effort put in by the chef and kitchen staff. Definitely will be stopping by anytime to get some of this incredible food. read more

The food was excellent. The service was worse than awful. We didn't see anyone until 1/2 hour after we sat down, not even water. We did have menus. It took 20 mins after that before we were asked about drinks. We asked if they had Jack Daniels because it wasn't on the menu, we were told yes. Then over 5 minutes later he came back and said they were all out. I ordered Jameson. One person asked about 2 wines, one was 12 the other 9. She ordered the $9. About 10 minutes later he came and took out order. Mine came with a side salad. I then ordered a glass of the same wine. He said he was getting bread. We never got it. I had to ask when we got our entrees. When we got our bill I was charged $8 for the salad and $12 for the wine. The salad charge was removed from the bill. The food was excellent!! But if the service doesn't get any better we will not be returning. 2 2/2 hrs. read more

The spinach salad was great. The house-made pappardelle was wonderful. And ample. With the rich fungi sauce, maybe too ample. I brought home half of both things I ordered. Next time I' like to try splitting various dishes with others. I'll be sorry this place is so close to home. read more

I have lots of experience with both authentic Italian food and Italian-American food, and I do enjoy both. While I fully expected to enjoy an Italian American (and not Italian) fare at this establishment, I did not expect it to be so mediocre and so overpriced. The bean dip was a flavorless mess (was there even a trace of good olive oil in it?) and the rolls were uneventful to say the least (your average flavorless frozen soft rolls?). I ordered the tagliolini with mushrooms. The tagliolini were overdone and sticky, and the dish was literally drowned in sauce. Too much pepper, too much cream, too heavy. Wine was way too expensive for your run-of-the-mill Chianti that goes for much less at other similar establishments. My husband was violently ill overnight, and we figure it must have been something in his pasta (the tomato mozzarella sauce). Service was slow, but the waitress was nice. Ambiance is ok. I do not think we will be going back. read more

I ordered takeout for Valentine's Day and my husband and I cleaned our plates. It was delicious. Spinach fettuccini + fungi sauce + grilled shrimp... so so good! My daughter had the spaghetti and meatballs and had no complaints. I have not eaten in the restaurant yet but have to give the food we had a 5/5. read more

On Wednesday, July 17th, 2024 my daughter and son-in-law brought me to your restaurant for my 65th birthday celebration. My daughter was especially excited to bring me here because she had enjoyed several previous meals and spoken highly of it on a frequent basis. Sadly, our experience did not meet her expectations. She was embarrassed because the way we were treated did not rise to the level of her previous visits. Her original meal which contained chicken was ill-prepared and as I stated 'inedible'. She was provided with a second choice meal which was 'over-sauced'!! Luckily there were enough meatballs in her second dish to absorb some of the sauce. It seemed as though the 'chef' may have been miffed about an order being sent back? Caleb, our server, told us you had recently stopped preparing fresh chicken and had opted for a pre-prepared option. Maybe not a good choice? BTW....don't know anything about your policies but it was mentioned that it was my birthday but no recognition was offered. Due to the poor circumstances surrounding this meal, we opted to go elsewhere for dessert. Not sure if they will be back but it's highly unlikely that I will be. read more

this was our first visit, you can decide for yourselves if it should be our last. We had hopes, because they make their own pasta, the reviews were good. We are new to the area. So we went along in a good frame of mind. They brought our fried calamari and zucchini starter, it is fine. And then: 1) an hour after ordering, we were told that our order had accidentally been prepared and boxed to go and had been sitting "for a while" So they would make it again fresh. 2) 30 minutes later, it came out, but one dish was completely wrong, we had ordered Chicken Marsala and it was Chicken Parmigana. The eggplant Parmigana was fine, but obviously they took it back also. But they left the side of cooked spinach. 3) 45 minutes later, the dishes came back, this time the Eggplant Parmigana completely dried out, and the Chicken Marsala not good enough to make up for the wait. 4) the spinach side dish had been left on the table for more than an hour by then, and was stone cold. 5) the check came. I suggested that they needed to take off the two glasses of wine and the appetizer. 6) the owner came out to explain that our waiter was new and all of this was his fault. i understand that, but then it is on the owner to make it right. She said that 20% off the bill was " the best" she could do. That did not quite equal two glasses of wine. So we paid $100 plus tip for basically nothing to eat, since we didn't eat the main courses when they finally appeared ( one cold and dried out and the other just mediocre) and we had the starter and two glasses of wine and bread. Today is Valentine's Day and my husband and I decided to not only treat ourselves but to treat my sister to a special dinner. We called last week to make reservations as we knew that it would be a busy night. We were specific about what we chose because my sister is a picky eater. We decided to book at T. Marie's in Mobile, Alabama, which is an Italian restaurant. When we called we were informed that they only had an early spot left at 5:15. We were also informed on the phone that there would be a special of filet mignon on the menu. No mention of a special menu or price. We arrived on time tonight. The three of us each ordered drinks and then noticed the menu. A limited Valentines Day menu. $120 a couple for a four course meal with limited options. Hmmmm. Okay we can roll with that. But unfortunately the entree options were not appealing to us...particularly to my sister that would not eat anything offered. We asked the wait staff if we could have the full menu and were told that it was just this special menu tonight. I explained that my sister however would not eat any of the choices and could we have a pasta Alfredo made for her (note: a pasta dish with pesto WAS one of the limited menu options)(my husband and I were fine with the options...not excited but fine). The waitress was kind and said she would ask again as she understood. She proceeded to go back again to the kitchen (which was right next to our table) and ask about the change in sauce. HOWEVER, what I assumed was the manager (a man) began arguing with her about how that's all the food they had prepped for the night. Our waitress told him that she tried to tell him that this would happen that some would be happy and some wouldn't. After he appeared around the corner to continue the argument next to our table. He asked loudly "what table is it anyways?!" And the other waitress pointed to our table. I was looking directly at them. So I called them other to discuss the situation with me to my face instead. I tried to explain to the man that we had a picky eater, we were unaware of the limited menu. Explained that we were told only about a special filet. He said "sorry that was a miscommunication but that's all the food they had prepared". I said that was fine but that we would be leaving but wanted to be sure to pay for our drinks. He said not to worry about it and we walked out without any other explanation. I was surprised that an ITALIAN restaurant couldn't manage a creamy Alfredo sauce when asked to make an accommodation for one customer. While we were there we watched as another lady was seated and then also choose to leave due to the menu. So instead of serving FOUR customers tonight with one request, we all walked out. This isn't the first time we have experienced such POOR service at this location. Instead we had a happy night at Taco Mamma's and WILL NEVER ENTER THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!!! A totally enjoyable evening. i had a reservation for 3 for the second seating on a Saturday night and from other reviewers I was expected a bit of a delay in being seating. There was a delay but we had the full evening so we relaxed and waited for our table to become available. As it turned out the wait was worth it. The reviewers were correct. When seated we spent some extra time reviewing the menu. This was our first visit so we took our time before ordering and gave the servers and kitchen staff time to handle the full house. (If you can manage it I would suggest a 8:00 pm seating to let the tables to empty.) We ordered two appetizers to take the edge off of our hunger and give time for the kitchen to prepare our orders. We ordered appetizers and our meals at the same time. We enjoyed orders of Ravioli Frittes and Spinach and Artichoke Dip. Both were excellent and filled the time for our meals to be prepared. Our three orders were two chicken dishes (Parmigiana and Marsala) and the Clams and Pasta). The orders arrived fairly close together and were delicious. Well prepared and presented. There were take home containers for the two chicken dishes. We're we're all full but I couldn't resist it and ordered the tiramisu to go. It's reputation from other reviewers swayed me and since everything had been excellent, I expect the same. BTW - I had some of my wife's Chicken Parmigiana the next night and I agree with her assessment - First Class. We will return but either make an earlier reservation or bit later. Have eaten here twice. The first time we were disappointed with the food and they charged us an exorbitant fee to bring us one wine glass. They did not have a liquor license then and I was expecting a small "corking fee" but we were charged $15. Furthermore, the TV as on loudly broadcasting Fox News which was very offensive. We don't go out to dinner to be blasted with news. We can stay home for that. We gave them a second chance last night. We had reservations and were seated quickly (next to the air conditioning system). They proudly gave us their drink menu which included 1 bourbon, 2 scotches, and a vodka. One of our party ordered 1 drink of "premium" Scotch and was charged $40 for it. They did correct the bill, but it took a lot of conversation for them to reduce it to the price indicated on the menu. The others of us wanted wine. All they had was second-rate grocery store wine and no beer. The food was better than the first visit, but the service was awful. The chef can't seem to get the orders for the same table out at the same time. The first 2 come out and then the rest if us had to wait for ours while other tables were also getting their partial orders. The waiter did not respond to our requests for service and seemed to be totally untrained. I give them credit, the tv was not on last night. Perhaps others complained about it. This is the first time I have ever posted a Yelp review. But we were excited about a new restaurant coming to midtown and now after 2 tries we will go elsewhere. read more

We came to Mobile AL to run from Hurricane Ian and one night wanted to try out an Italian restaurant. We decided on T Marie's based on reviews we read about the establishment. I can truly say we made the right choice. It's not a big place but very comfortable and pleasant. The three of us, myself, my wife and my son, each decided on pasta dishes for our dinner. Their pasta is all fresh made in house along with all the varieties of sauce. My wife and son had pasta carbonara which was creamy and delicious, just like you would expect to get in Rome. I had the lasagna which was first class in flavor and texture. We hesitated to order a dessert, but finally gave in and tried the tiramisu. Wow! I have to say it was the best tiramisu I've ever tasted. So light and creamy! Service was excellent, waitress was friendly and helpful. If you're ever in Mobile AL, make T Marie's a definite destination if you want some great Italian food. You won't be disappointed. read more
