My party which contained 10 ladies were seated for a birthday at 7p on 3/15/24 at this place. We asked if we could have more seating for an additional 4 ladies, we were told that the restaurant was full and no more chairs were available, which wasn't true bc it was an empty table with 2 chairs right beside us. We understood, bc we needed more space we tried to figure wat to do wen the hostess came loudly to the table to say to us "the restaurant is full we have no more room for anybody else, we already have 2 other large parties waiting to be seated now". I immediately grabbed my purse bc there was no way I would spend a dime of my money in an unprofessional establishment as such as this person was supposed to represent. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the new location but the owners and staff are super friendly and the food is good quality though I need more opportunities to work through the menu. This is a nice place for a first date or anniversary or intimate birthday dinner which our city is in sore need of. No matter when you plan to go, be sure to call and make a reservation. read more

My husband took me here for lunch today and, as always, the food was more than delicious, the wine perfect and the service superb. We always enjoy the ambience here; it's classy and beautiful. Made a reservation for a large group of people. We arrived and were seated. We sat for over 30 minutes and were never even offered water..nor were we provided with any menus...After about 40 minutes the manager rudely advised that our reservation would not be honored..nor would we be served...she offered no reason . She demanded that we leave. WE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OTHER THAN ATTEMPT TO DINE WHILE BLACK....I have since learned that this happens regularly to African Americans who attempt to dine at this Establishment. read more

Our server, Tracy, she was so sweet! As i looked around, everyone looked happy, but also i wanted to ask everyone what they ordered because every plate looked delicious. We got the calamari as an app and it was the best we've ever had. Super tender, not chewy at all. I got the clams and pasta and it was unbelievable. You can really tell how fresh the pasta is. My husband swears he's never had good Italian but he was raving about this place ever since we left. He got the redfish with sides and we both loved it. This is the start of a love story. I discovered this place about a month ago and have gone back several times; it's been history ever since . This is not only the best authentic Italian spot in Mobile, but the best I've ever had in my life. This is such a hidden gem. I love that they make their pasta fresh each morning. As an avid Italian food lover, I knew this place was a must try! After reading reviews, we decided to try it. The service was good and the place was very welcoming. We did a build your own pasta meal each, and I ended up having to send mine back. I just did not blend well with the Capellini pasta but the sauce was amazing. The staff was very understanding and nice about this small issue. I ended up going with chicken Alfredo as my replacement and it was also delicious. I probably would recommend the Sorrentina sauce with fettuccini noodles. We decided to try one of each of the desserts being as we had never been. I am a HUGE tiramisu fan and I have to say this was the best I've ever had. Overall, the food was probably our second favorite Italian food we've both ever had in our lives. But our first place option is a restaurant in Little Italy in New York City so that's a hard one to beat. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place! My husband and I went there to celebrate my birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised. We walked in the door to an immediate greet, we were early so we expected to wait but she had table options for us and we picked a table and sat right by the bar. Right beside us was a beautiful little lounging area that people sat at to wait for their to go orders, of which they seemed to have plenty, and our server was the bartender so he had some challenges with a full bar of six or so chairs and us as his only table. He was able to do his job regardless. We ordered The cheese sticks for an appetizer and they were very good. They have their own homemade sauces and they made the marinara which was incredible. We ordered the bottle of red wine to enjoy with our dinner. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana & it was beyond delicious. I ordered the shrimp scampi which was delicious but unfortunately my shrimp was overcooked, typically grilled shrimp get overcooked but I failed to read that they were grilled. They made me another plate but with sautéed shrimp and it made all the difference to me. I had dessert at home so I didn't even want to know what they offered. They recommend you make reservations because they have a good thing going and chances are you would wait awhile or you could be turned away. The food was good, but be prepared for some weird vibes. It looks like it used to be an office building and is still carpeted. There was a keyboard player sitting next to the door playing "Creep" by Radiohead incessantly. It says "casual" so I walked in in sweatpants, but immediately felt odd because we were seated next to a table of really annoying yuppies. The chairs were wicker? Never have I ever!!! My cousin placed reservations for a party of 10. We were seated and waited for about 30 minutes and wasn't even offered any water. We asked for 3 more seats and was told that they could not continue to accommodate or reservation. The manager/owner stated that she had other reservations and ours were no longer valid. She was stern and unapologetic, as if we had done something wrong. Yet, we are seating at the time. Did I leave out that there were two chairs next to us that were available? The waiter kept apologizing after the owner told us she would not serve us. His exact words were, "I'm sorry, I could not serve you". Even the server thought it was wrong. What made it even more disturbing, we were the only African Americans in the building. After reading reviews, this is a practice of this establishment. Please think twice before attempting to dine here. Especially, if you are a person of color, you are not welcomed. So sad. read more

I've been there twice and it was wonderful both times. Everything is prepared fresh, so don't go there if you're in a hurry. We had guest from out of town with reservations well over a week in advance...we're seated then was told by waiter they didn't have any reservation for our table of 6! One of my most favorite small authentic Italian restaurants on the coast or bay. Food is phenomenal and each bite you taste the freshness of the ingredients and the wine selection is top notch. The bartender and wait staff are always friendly and welcoming, be it for there or to go. If you blink you'll pass it but if you don't miss it make sure to stop and get the meatball sliders or the bruschetta on their in-house made bread. I have lots of experience with both authentic Italian food and Italian-American food, and I do enjoy both. While I fully expected to enjoy an Italian American (and not Italian) fare at this establishment, I did not expect it to be so mediocre and so overpriced. The bean dip was a flavorless mess (was there even a trace of good olive oil in it?) and the rolls were uneventful to say the least (your average flavorless frozen soft rolls?). I ordered the tagliolini with mushrooms. The tagliolini were overdone and sticky, and the dish was literally drowned in sauce. Too much pepper, too much cream, too heavy. Wine was way too expensive for your run-of-the-mill Chianti that goes for much less at other similar establishments. My husband was violently ill overnight, and we figure it must have been something in his pasta (the tomato mozzarella sauce). Service was slow, but the waitress was nice. Ambiance is ok.
