Their bagels are fabulous as is their lox. For those, like me, who can unhinge their jaw for an authentic pastrami or corned beef masterpiece. Go with the "Ding sized" sandwich. They'll make a smaller Seattle sized version as well for those who don't treat deli as an indulgence of rye and meat piled high. I wish they'd add kreplach to the menu (sorry Vance. I know my litany is old!) but I keep discovering new deliciousness here even after being a regular for nearly 4 years since my recovery from a life threatening illness, that I recovered from in part due to making regular stops here during my post surgical recovery. Just today I had the blintzes for the first time with their in house made cherry compote and sour cream. Amazing. Keep up the amazing work!!! My recommendation for newbies. Get the pastrami on marbled rye with gribenes and mustard. If you're feeling extra indulgent ask for a schmear of chopped liver, if you're keen on said. You won't regret it!

And pretty much no chicken in it. The "famous hash and eggs" equally underwhelmed. The "hash" mixture seemed to be from yesterday or older, mostly potato, with little corned beef. There was nothing "famous" about it. I tried the fresher corned beef sandwich my friend got and felt the fresh corned beef was quite good - hence the upgrade from 2 to 3 stars here. It's counter service, they bring the food (no numbers for tables makes this a bit of a trial and error) . Coffee is self serve and there is a sign saying refills are $2.75.... how un-American.

Stopping by right around noon was probably not the best idea... it was incredibly packed. People were standing everywhere, and it was very unclear who was in line to order or who was waiting for food. It's a bit chaotic to order and pay, but it was fine. It took about 10 minutes after ordering to receive my order. I am incredibly impressed by how they keep track of what everyone ordered with so many people! I got the pork Bahn mi, and it was pretty good. Crunchy and messy bread, just like it's supposed to be. Decent amount of meat and veggies too. Good flavor. I'd go again, just maybe not at a peak time.

They aren't cheap or expensive so you pretty much get what you pay for which aint a bad thing. Which means the Location is dope and parking can be a city difficult. Overall I would recommend this location for lunch

Afterwards, he introduced me to condiment bar and underscored the suggested pairings. Great personality! My order was prepared quickly, and by 12:30 the place was packed. There is quite a bit of seating and baseball was playing on a couple of screens. The fries are interesting, reminiscent of fluffy mashed potatoes inside, with a crispy exterior. I didn't notice an Old Bay seasoning, but I don't know if that is standard or should be ordered specifically. The beef cheese steak (Tats way) is made with rib eye of a good quality. No fat, no gristle, and plenty of it. A generous portion of sautéed onions and peppers and a mixture of provolone and white American cheeses top the meat. Hot and melty. The bread does r get a bit soggy, and the filling spills out so make sure to grab a stack of napkins and a fork. I ordered an 8 inch sandwich and small order of fries, and it was a lot of food. I finished it, but started I get sleepy in the afternoon. Good solid sandwich.

I've seen markups that approach 300% on basic items, which starts to feel less like convenience and more like price gouging. Many locals avoid this place at all costs and only shop here when it's absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, there aren't many nearby options, so sometimes convenience wins and you end up paying for something you'd normally buy anywhere else for a fraction of the price. I tried reaching out to the owner about the pricing and never received a response. That's disappointing because this could easily be a great neighborhood bodega for the people who live here year-round.
