I've been eating at T Anthony's for over 50 years they changed ownership everything went downhill the pizza is lousy which was always my go to I go to. I figured I'd given a few months to get things on track finally went back tonight ordered online which was new. Absolutely horrible experience Don't recommend going there anymore I will not you will not I would definitely travel somewhere farther away to get a good slice. What happened here? I think the restaurant has been sold. I have been coming here since my early days at BU and LOVE their pizza ( especially the sauce). I got one today and it was different, It was smaller, cost $5.00 more and did not taste the same. The fab sauce is gone as is the type of cheese. T Anthony's is convenient for BU students as it is located in west campus. It was my first meal when I moved into my dorm back in August. The food didn't taste bad, but I don't think I'll be ordering from here again. The pizza was cold by the time it got delivered to my dorm and the salad was very soggy... Are you looking for a good old fashioned, casual, somewhat inexpensive and plebeian Italian-American restaurant on a university campus right here in Boston? Well, if you said yes, this place has your answer. This place was fairly special to me because I used to go here when I was a student and I always got my stomach full from eating at this place. One dish I used to get every time I come here was the Steak Tip dinner with rice. It was a little expensive at the time (I was only getting paid a small amount of money as a student), at about $10 a dish, but I remember being one of the tastiest $10 dishes I have ever spent nearby my campus. I remember the beef being juicy, tender, and flavorful, and the rice being a great complement to the dish. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich they serve here is fairly good. It's not the best Chicken Parmesan sandwich I had in Boston, but it is a sufficient example on what a plebeian Chicken Parmesan sandwich should taste like. The bread had a very simple basic grocery bread taste with some toasty crispiness. The chicken might not be the best crispy chicken you will have, but it is pretty good with some crispiness on the outside, and tender juiciness on the inside. One large size sandwich should be enough to fill up the stomach of a grown up man. The price is reasonable at around $7.25. I used to get the pizza here too, and I remember it being simple, but good. The people who work here can be a little gruff and a little crude at times, but they seem to be hard working folk that talk in a style of English that can be very plebeian in this city. Overall, this is a fairly good example of a plebeian Italian-American restaurant on a university campus that can serve some tasty food. This place does not have the best Italian-American food, but it was a great escape for me if I got tired of eating at the dining facilities. To get some idea how better it was, the pizza was actually three times tastier than the pizza I ate at the dining facilities, and I have eaten a decent amount of pizza from my university dining facilities for about four years. read more

Coming here after eating lambardi's in ny last night there is something to compare to. Although not as well known as the NY places, this place is really good. I actually liked it more than lombardi's. My friends live like one "T" stop away, but it still took about 45 minutes for it to get delivered. Delicious!! The crust was "crisp" and the toppings and sauce fit well. The thing that still stands out was the ground beef and garlic. YOU must try it!!! DELICIOUS!! Lots of garlicky flavor goodness!!! The staff is super friendly and although I don't go here often because it's not an area that I'm in much anymore, they are always as nice as ever. On a side note... Years ago my daughter went to preschool next door. When the owner sold the building, the owners of T Anthony were amazing and generously offered their space upstairs to keep the school in business. It didn't work out for the school and they closed down for reasons unrelated to location, but the generosity of the owners of this place speaks volumes about the kind of people they are and I will never forget that. read more

Yeah the crowd sucks and the line is ridiculous but the pizza is SO GOOD It serves as great drunk pizza but I'm confident I'd love it sober too. Be wary of all the drunk students if that's not your scene...take your pizza and run. Since everyone is drunk and irresponsible the place gets pretty dirty but I'll look past anything for good pizza. I might be bias as a BU grad... If you graduated from BU and never went to T's for breakfast or late night, then give your diploma back! We came here for a late night snack (we're like 4 years removed from college btw haha) and not much has changed. Someone blasted some 80s music from the jukebox and everyone was friendly. Unfortunately, their grill was off at that time and we couldn't get wings so we settled for a pie of buffalo chicken (cut into 6 slices) and a pepperoni slice. Prices were very fair and portions were pretty big. Service was good and quick. We ate our single slice as we waited for our pizza pie. The buff chick was very good - they didn't go cheap on the chicken and it was very flavorful. We were definitely satisfied and probably didn't need that extra slice. read more

It was late at night, I was coming home from work, when suddenly me & my boyfriend had this random cravings for curly fries. We googled "best curly fries near me" and T Anthony's showed up. We always pass this joint by whenever we're driving home, but we just never know what kind of place this is. We decided to stop by and give ourselves a little treat and give in to our cravings. After seeing their menu, my boyfriend also ordered the Teriyaki Steak Tips with Fries, because we're already here anyways so why not go all out. We got our take-out relatively fast, probably around 10-15 mins of waiting and as soon as we go back inside our car, the smell is just too overwhelming for me not to try a bite of the long-awaited curly fries...and it was SO GOOD. I don't know if it's because it was late at night and both of us were hungry, but those curly fries tasted divine. Crisp on the outside, but has that tender and soft potato on the inside. The Teriyaki Steak Tips were not too shabby either. It has the perfect balance of seasoning and the fries were good too (even tho it wasn't as good as the curly fries). They also gave us a bun with butter to go along with the entree, which I find very fancy of them! And I love bread so what's not to love. BU students are lucky to have T. Anthony's so conveniently near by their campus. But I'm glad I decided to give in to my cravings last night because now I know where to go for my next supper adventures. read more

The best Traditional American pizza sub shop I've been to in Boston. Family owned and run. The people are great, super helpful and accommodating to your order. They do everything good there. Nothing is insanely good or unique but it's great normal comfort food. They also have pretty much anything you could ask for on their menu; steak tips, pasta, pizza, subs, sandys, wraps, wings, and more. Provided a whole BU team or event just walked in and ordered; the food is made really quick so you aren't waiting for more than 10-15 minutes. It also has one of the biggest free seating dining rooms I've seen in Boston which is nice. They clean your table for you and you just leave everything on it which is just a random plus I haven't seen other places before. read more

T. Anthony's is something that I just grew up with. It was good, but it really never seemed to blow me away. They have great subs and have specials pretty often, changing up the board from prosciutto paninis to wraps. They've got nice guys working there, but some of them don't always pay attention to what you're saying so you may have to repeat yourself a couple times...after the rest of your food has arrived. Sometimes consistent and living up to their own standards and sometimes? They just don't! Pretty solid food. Went here with my family and ordered a Fresh Mozzarella & Tomato Panino, not expecting much of a pizza place. The sandwich was huge--great value for the price--and the mozzarella and tomatoes were incredibly fresh. I tried some of my family's cheese pizza, which was greasy and underwhelming (slightly surprising), but I'd come back for a sandwich if I was in the area. Saw the mozzarella stick pizza on Instagram and couldn't stop thinking about it so I came in to try it. You can't get it as a slice but the small pizza is about $10 and can feed two and is just perfect to satisfy that craving but not feel disgusting after. The tomato sauce is a little sweeter than most pizza I've had but add some chili flakes and its just fine. The crust is like how I'd want $1 pizza in NY to be and the mozzarella sticks on top are such a guilty pleasure done right. I was completely sober eating this and it was amazing. Wish i can give no stars. I ordered from there last week for my lunch break, which i have ordered from them in the past, several times. I really do enjoy their pizza, reminds me of NYC pizza a little. BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVED THE LAST TIME ORDERED WAS A COMPLETE AND UTTER DISASTER ! The the driver came and before greeting me immediately pointed to the recipient where it was circled "cash tip"! At least greet me and make sure you're giving the food to the right person first. So he left with out a tip. I don't know what he ran back and told the restaurant . But my break was cut short because i had a client to attend to. I get a call not even 10 mins after all this happens, though I'm with my client i answer my phone because i have my number posted on my car Incase BOston university makes me move my car. The guy on the phone is calling for tip for the driver. I tell him I'm busy with a client can i do it later , since i haven't gone to the atm to deposit my check. So he keeps on insisting i take care of it now. My balance on my card was $1.47 after i llaves order. So i tell him 1$ for tip. His response "A dollar ? A dollar ?" I said "yes a dollar, can you hear me" he laughed so hard and repeated, "a dollar hahahahaha a dollar" then hangs up on me. My client hears the whole conversation and can relate so i call back, I'm transferred to another guy. I start the complaint and then he explains to me that the drivers live off tips, and i understand that's why i tipped the last dollar i had on my card at the time. So before i can explain to him why i tipped a dollar he started to become rude and said if you're not gonna place the tip in line the drivers won't deliver my food, then continued to say o shouldn't order from there. So with the only breath i was able to inject into the conversation i said well fine , i won't order there any more. I worked in restaurant management so i understand it can be stressful but if you cannot have a certain level of professionalism in the heat of the moment that you're causing your self because you don't want to deal with my problem is completely unacceptable! You want to talk all loud and aggressively over my voice on the phone, is that how you talk to all women? Or do you guys treat all your customers that way ... Due to my last experience there has my co workers and i will no longer order from there. Hmm, Pizza was good but I do feel slighted after ordering delivery. Order was missing a pizza topping and even though I stated add a "Customary"15% tip..they rang up and added a 50% tip. Happen to stumble in to use the ATM and ended up finding one of the best eggplant parms in Boston. For about 8 bucks I got a huge portion of freshly and lightly fried, juicy eggplant. Topped with marinara sauce, layered parmesan cheese with jalapenos (ordered) tucked underneath. The sub was large, but the best quality was that for as filling as it was, it didn't leave a lingering sluggishness like most grinders like that do. I have visited this place a million times throughout college and now when working, and one thing that has not changed is the food quality and the service. It's one of the few places in Boston that manages to retain its staff for a long time and that speaks a lot about the management. I have been dining at this place for the past six years and I have seen minimal changes in the workers who all are friendly and do their absolute best to make quality food. My personal favorites that I recommend trying out are chicken parm dinner with ravioli, chicken panini, pizza with mozarella sticks on top, steak tips, mozarella sticks.
