The salon was clean and didn't have the overpowering chemical smell you often find at other nail places, which made it so much more enjoyable. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the pedicure itself was excellent. The leg massage was so relaxing and definitely a highlight of the experience. Unsanitary & poor quality. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I don't want anyone else to go through the unsafe & unsanitary experience I did. #1: Don't double dip the wax stick!!! When you consistently use the same stick to wax an area and then dip it back into the wax pot, you can transfer bacteria & disease into the wax that will continue to live as it is a warm environment. This it is possible to transfer herpes from someone getting a bikini wax onto someone's lip from using the same contaminated wax pot. The solution: use a new wax stick each time you dip into the wax pot! No cross contamination!! (And yes, I got off the table with only half a lip wax). #2: Cutting open skin while getting a pedicure. Ok, it can happen, but clean it & disinfect it when it does. Don't continue to pour chemicals (callous remover, exfoliating scrub, lotion) into the open wound! It burns & hurts & again, can lead to infection! All of this is assuming the instruments used during the pedicure were sanitary to begin with. In hindsight, I would have happily paid double the price, somewhere else (and I will next time), to avoid the discomfort, pain, and exposure to bacteria & infection due to sloppy practices. The thing that caught me the most off guard - they all seemed like it was no big deal or concern. Scary!! Someone could get very sick or worse because of their practices and conduct. If you don't know how to properly protect your clients from infection, bacteria, or unsanitary conditions, you need to further educate your team. Beware if you come here - keep your eyes open and stop services before you end up sick or hurt! read more

Unfortunately, this is the worst experience I've had. I came in for a pedicure today. I sat there for two hours trying to get said pedicure. The experience was nice aside from the fact that she would ask me questions and do the complete opposite of what I requested so she asked me the shape of the nail that I wanted I said square she trimmed off the entire nail and did a very short rounded nail then I asked for French tips and she could not figure out how to do the French tip I had to explain to her twice that I didn't like it and she had to get somebody else to come in Once everything was said and done. Just had my eyebrows waxed, come here quite often. Today I was surprised not only did she made my eyebrows uneven, she dropped her brow scissors on the floor and than tried to continue using them. I asked her to clean them and she stopped and left and this is why my brows are uneven. They do not sanitize any of their tools they use on the brows. I paid and tipped her and won't be back. This is the most anxiety producing a manicure experience i've ever had. Trina chatted throughout our manicure with other people. Her voice was loud and grating and she made no efforts to create a personal connection with me. She steered me to a bland neutral shade that washed out my skin. The nailpolish- a powder manicure- looked so awful that i returned asap the next day to take it off. She had also injured one of my fingers, creating a painful cut. The nailpolish was uneven on the edges.When i pointed out the injury, she started chastising me at the top of her voice . I'm an elementary school teacher who spends a lot of time teaching my 10 year olds how to accept responsibilty; good customer service would have been Trina apologizing for a job poorly done and asking how she can make it up. Oddly enough, he seemed disappointed and even offended by my choice of a natural color and proceeded to complain and berate me for the entire manicure, urging me to pick a different color. The owner/ manager/ whatever seated me and said something like Oh you want nice massage, ok! Sit here. I reiterated I wanted reflexology. Pedicure was great until he started to polish and I asked again about the reflexology. He used the language barrier to say no I give massage already. I called the first lady over to ask about the reflexology and she said oh he no give massage? Yes I got some massage but not what I asked for. Then she says that don't do that. I would have went to a different place to get what I wanted if they told me they didn't provide that service. They were deceptive so that's why 3 stars only. Place was clean and fairly modern, no strong chemical smell indicative of substandard salons. Products used for my visit were clean, new, and legitimate. I just moved to the neighborhood and came to this nail salon twice for pedicures. It's the most conveniently located to my home and takes walk-ins. The first pedicure was only okay. My toenails chipped after a week and I didn't do anything of significance to cause that. The second was better (no bells and whistles), but the person gave me a decent foot massage. The third time I came, today and one week after my last pedi, with my boyfriend. I didn't need a pedicure, but he wanted one so I said I'd just get a foot massage. When we walked in and asked for our respective services, the owner/manager, made a very unnecessary scene over the request. She said she would have to ask people because they aren't masseuses and that's not a service they provide. It really could have ended with just explaining that they don't do that here, but she went around in a huffy scene-causing manner and landed at a no but said I could sit next to my boyfriend while he got his pedicure. Once I sat down, she kept complaining about me. She was speaking in Thai, but her energy never shifted and she kept saying "massage" angrily and had the other two pedicurists across from us participating - so they just very rudely went on and on complaining about me as if I couldn't tell what they were saying. It was a terrible way to treat a customer and I really was fine with a simple "we don't provide that service here". I ended up walking out. I'll never go back there again. read more
