Lorena is a wonderful and detailed nail tech and eyebrow specialist. All the ladies are nice, fun, and hospitable.

This is my go-to nail salon. I've tried several technicians and although they are all really good, Lorena is by far my favorite, so I always book around her schedule. I discovered the salon randomly when I used to work in the area. I no longer work nearby, but I still make the drive from Fort Lauderdale because Lorena is that good. This is a Spanish-speaking establishment; however it's never been an issue for me as, Google Translate is a great tool, and the receptionist I wish I knew her name is amazing. She always answers my texts promptly to book appointments, speaks English, and is great at translating if needed. She is typically there, which is helpful in this appointment-only salon. The salon is small but always clean, and they are constantly busy, so be sure to book ahead. Prices are very fair for the quality of service you receive. I get a gel manicure and regular pedicure, and my nails typically last three, sometimes even four weeks, which is crazy. My nails have never been so long and healthy. As an extra touch, they serve Cuban coffee, which I absolutely love. If you are looking for an affordable, clean salon with great customer service, this is your place. read more

The place is small but looks nice. I found the color options a little limited. For example I couldn't find a lot of options for reds. So I drove an hour, all the way from Florida City because I saw that this place had high ratings. The lady I spoke with on the phone was great, when I got there for my appointment I was greeted by who I assume was the same woman I spoke to on the phone. She was very nice, always smiling. I got there 15 mins early and I guess the lady that was going to take care of me was in lunch so I waited. Not a problem. I was told to sit in her station so I did. She came by some time later, I smiled and said hello. She quickly replied with a "I'll be with you soon" kinda like cutting me off...not a great start. So the whole time we did not talk, which is fine but you know when you can tell that the person doesn't want you there based on the treatment? The whole experience was very rash and cold. Instead of asking to move my hand or feet a little this way or that way she would force my hands and feet. She filed away my skin on my pinky, I asked her if we could put a little bit of alcohol on it and she said (in Spanish) that she couldn't because we just put the nail polish. No apology, no interest. We get to my pedicure and I let her know that I have two horrible ingrown nails that are very painful, that she may have to cut into the sides of the nail of both big toes. If I had to use a movie title to describe her care when it came to my feet it would have to be The Fast & The Furious. She stuck that metal stick in my ingrown nail so fast and hard that I had the jerk reaction of a mummy who just resurrected from their sarcophagus. The calluses on my feet were not taken off completely. It was a very rash attempt. I'll have to take care of it at home. And the best part is that when she was done, she split without a word. No "we're done" or "thank you". Nothing. I hope whatever she's going through gets better because it was very clear that she did not want me there. My mani and pedi look cute but the service was not worth my drive, time, or money. read more

Our pedicures were completely incompetent. we had to prepay half the amount upfront ( ripoff to lock you in to incompetence) No one spoke English yet they took our money to prepay and prebook knowing we were English speaking. none of us got what we asked for. They painted our toe nails and did nothing else. We showed pictures of what we wanted and the colors and nail shapes were incorrect !!we got charged a full price for a pedicure and all we got was painted toenails. we were treated absolutely awful. other clients were translating to help us. no one in our party was given what they requested. This place lacks knowledge and skills to ever be considered a top salon. I would not even call it a salon tbh. AND we were charged FULL PRICE. I was really hesitant about writing this review because I really liked their mani-pedis and thought their prices were reasonable. But the atmosphere absolutely killed it for me and I won't be coming back. I initially came here because someone recommended it for natural nails. The nail tech I had the first 2 times (name started with a Y) was nice but other experiences and things I witnessed there, ruined this salon for me. Let me start of by saying that I'm not Hispanic. However, I'm very respectful towards the fact that Miami is mostly Spanish speaking. I made an effort to learn the language and will speak it when someone doesn't know English. So I made all my appointments on the phone in Spanish. That being said, I'm a very calm person in general. I'm just not into unnecessary chit chat and especially not when I go to self-care appointments. This is my me-time and my time to relax. And yes, of course, there is still a bit of a language barrier. But I'm a great customer: I always tip at least 20%, I arrive on time, I'm polite, I'm hygienic, and I don't bother anyone. It seems tho that the non-stop chatting, loud staff seemed to be really bothered by the fact that I'm a quiet person. With exception of the lady with a Y (I really don't remember her name), the other staff seemed to be bothered to be helping me. They would non-stop talk (or rather yell) to their coworkers while doing my manicures. It seems like they can't work quietly for 5 minutes and constantly need to babble. Moreover, I've heard them talk bad about other customers and seen them roll their eyes at them. Then one day a Brazilian customer came in and made an effort to talk with her nail technician in Spanish. And then another technician loudly said in front of everyone: "she's the first Brazilian customer you have who speaks Spanish badly!" WTF? So disrespectful and trashy. Not coming here again. Wow where do I even begin... just look at the photos. This was the most disappointing manicure I have ever gotten in my life. It's so ugly it almost seems like a joke. I can't believe I paid $35 for this French gel manicure. None of them were even, the left hand literally just looks like she painted a thick layer across it, and she made my cuticles peel back. I will never be coming back. The results made me LAUGH and mad... mostly disappointed... I bet a child would even do a better job than this. I recently moved to the area, and with much anxiousness decided to find a new nail salon. Girls - you feel me - once you find your spot it's hard to try a new place. BUT LISTEN - there's a reason Art Cuban Nails has over 100 reviews and a solid five star rating. Why? They're amazing! In addition to all the glowing reviews, my mom and sister have also frequented this spot for a while now. As they say, mother knows best. I'll update this to say that mother and yelp know best. So happy to finally tried this place out. What a great experience. First of all - they offer parking in the building for clients, and there's also some street parking on 27th avenue. Upon entering, the place is impeccably clean. When it comes to polish choices they have a good variety - OPI, Zoya, Essie, Essie Couture and Sally Hansen too! I opted for OPI and got my pamper on. They start with your mani - which to me is the best experience because that way your nails can dry as you get your pedicure. Dania was my nail tech and she was so meticulous! She made sure all my nails had the same shape, cleaned them super nice and did a great job on the polish. They also use chemica alemania which is my favorite base coat and helps to strengthen the nail so A+ for that! OK on to the Pedi. Another A+ here for cleanliness. They use a liner on the pedi tub for each new client. Also - to echo what some others have said - this is without a doubt the most thorough shaping and cleaning I've experienced in a pedi. Polish job was also top notch. Since it was an AM appointment, I was also treated to a super delicious cafe con leche. A mani pedi will cost you $35 - $36 if you pay with credit card. For the amount of detail they put into the experience, and the cleanliness of the salon I'd say its worth every penny! I'd recommend making an appointment. I was able to request an appointment thru Yelp and received a text message with an available time on the day I requested. It should be noted that I got a response shortly after I messaged, on a Sunday. Now that is customer service! Went here on Saturday to get a pedicure, and that will probably be my last visit. The staff is very nice and this wasn't my first time here, but the service I recieved this last visit was very disappointing. The nail technician, cut me twice & give me an infection on my toe. I tried to explain to her their was no problem with my foot before the visit, but she insisted on cutting and rushing through my pedicure, all because their was a party she was getting ready to attend that Saturday, and I was one of her last clients. All my cuticles & dead skin was flapped off the towel onto my legs and back into my pedicure water!! That was gross! I guess they didnt want it on the floor, one less thing they have to clean up, just so they can get out of there sooner. It's been 4 days now, and I still have pain & infection in my toe (In which I saw a doctor about). This is awful for a person who is on their feet all day coaching and trains as an athlete. After hearing good things from a couple of my favorite Yelp ladies, I got in touch on Yelp and easily made an appointment via text. Now, I think everyone working here prefers Spanish, but you can get by with English (and Spanglish even better). The salon itself is pretty small and nothing fancy. In addition to nails, they do hair and waxing. I've gotten my nails done by two different ladies and have been so impressed with how detailed they are and leave very happy. Dania is the one I've been seeing most recently and she's great. My gel manicures last longer than they have at other places and the price is amazing! Other perks? OPI, Essie, etc. Vibe: The salon feels like a homey community. As an example, a woman came in with her 7 month old daughter in a car seat. At first, her daughter was fine and all the women were cooing over her. When she started to fuss, a woman passed her to her mom getting her pedicure done. Later, during her manicure, her baby began to sob - that half screaming, half crying thing. One of the salon staff didn't hesitate to pick her up & walk with her throughout the salon & singing Spanish nursery songs. The baby quickly quieted down. That is some awesome service. Perfect. Great experience start to finish. I got acrylics - which I never do (I'm in my 30s and this is only the 2nd time I've had them done), and a pedicure. On the acrylics: great job and as natural-looking as they can get (which is what I wanted). Next time I think I'd go with a round shape but for square ones, I think they're very well done. On the pedicure: these ladies are THOROUGH with trimming cuticles and cleaning around toe nails. They do a great job but if that's not your jam, you need to be super vocal about it because so many of their customers go there because they really go to work. First and last time I come here. Staff is nice but I has MAJOR problems with this place: 1. Dip Mani: I did the dip mani and the color ended up about 3 tones darker for some reason. I've had that same color before and it's never happened. To make matters worse, there are white dots that seems like powder residue. The manicurist (lady who sits alone in the front) said it was normal. I've had dip manis done a million times. This should NOT happen ever. 2. Pedicure: the lady was nice, but she cut my toe. She made me bleed to the point where she had to grab a paper towel and dry up the blood. I didn't get an apology. Color ended up darker as well. According to another reviewer, this lady (the one that sits alone in the front) also cut her 3 times when she went and there was residue of blood in her towel from yet another client. Ridiculous. 3. Eyebrow wax: the lady was the nicest. But she rushed it and made one brow shorter than the other. 4. They charge you a dollar for paying with cards... I'm sorry but no place should charge for this. As a business owner myself, the business should take the hit for the card processing charges or work it in their budgets. It's ridiculous! 5. Their phone lines almost never work and the lady said they only take appointments. In all fairness, I didn't say anything about these things because I hate confrontation, but this salon should know better. As I said, nice staff, but I'm not coming here again.
