The staff were rude and unprofessional, and communication was extremely difficult because no one spoke English. When you work in a customer service business like a nail salon, basic communication should not be this hard. My manicure was just okay since it was a simple gel manicure, but the pedicure was terrible. The technician didn't ask if I wanted my nails cut and just started cutting them without any consultation. She left my nails uneven and in completely different shapes and sizes. Overall, the service felt careless and unprofessional. I would not recommend coming here. read more

My sister made a nail appointment at this popular salon and they were able to accommodate us! Parking is limited, there are only two spots in their lot but there is plenty of street parking nearby. The salon was a lot bigger than I thought there are two sections of the salon. I asked for a gel mani and regular pedi. My gel mani turned out really nice! Where do I begin. I've gotten Gelx at this establishment 3-4 times now over the course of a few months. I previously had not had any issues. A few days ago i booked an appointment for my girlfriend and i for today at 10:30am. i got up ready and showed up on time for my appointment. i spent 20$ to uber there, and 20$ to uber home. Had i checked my missed calls/ voicemails, i would not have shown up. i had only seen the rude, berating message the manager had left for me as i was pulling in to the salon. thank god i checked and didn't give him another penny of my money. i will leave the voicemail screenshot, as well as the harassing text messages from the owner after i had left the salon. the owner left me a message saying "answer the phone it's annoying as fuck", not realizing he had not hung up the phone. i had confirmed my appointment the same MINUTE that he left a nasty message. upon arrival i asked for a discount to make up for the disgusting voicemail. the owner pretended that the voicemail was left by "another manager in the back" . he disappears, comes back (with the same phone he's had in his hand the entire time, the phone with the same number as the one that was harassing me with cuss words), and informs me that there will be no discount, nor an apology and tried to tell me that the voicemail wasn't meant for me!!!! it is quite obvious this misogynistic man left this voicemail after i didn't answer his call at 9:30am. i am disgusted and disturbed that a male owner of a business that primarily serves women would treat women this way. after he informed me that he would not apologize, nor give me any sort of discount, i left. he texted me minutes later telling ME that I WASTED HIS TIME!!! unbelievable !!!! service in miami is already horrible enough without these entitled male owners. i am disgusted and will continue to tell my friends, who are loyal customers as well, to never ever give this man business again. read more

I will start by saying this was one of the BEST gel manicures I've ever had! The nail tech did a really wonderful job on my nails. She took her time and and I was so so pleased with the outcome. It lasted pretty long too. The booking process for appointment was also convenient and easy to do online. I definitely recommend this since they seem pretty busy. The reason why I'm giving 3 stars is that my nail tech was visibly sick and still working. I was pretty shocked at this. She was constantly coughing and sneezing and wasn't wearing a mask or didn't sanitize. In the middle of a covid surge, this is absolutely not okay. If employees are sick, they should stay home. When I first went, I got apres, and it was done terribly. My cuticles looked horrible. It didn't even last a week. They were lifting the next day. In trying to allow them the opportunity to fix what had happened. The owner decided that he wanted to laugh and block me instead of communicating that he was at the hospital with his wife, having a child. So that was unprofessional. When I posted comments on their page about the truth, they decided to block me nonetheless, they were patient and allowing me to tend to a death in the family and the cancer, that my mother discovered before attempting to fix it a second time. I went in, and she seemed like she just did not want to be doing my nails at all. When it was time to cut my cuticles, she pulled an instrument out of a drawer, did not sanitize it. There have been multiple complaints on the sanitary conditions of this place. It hasn't even been a full two days and the builder gel is separating from my nail. My cuticles have bruising. There are multiple places where there is blood under the cuticle that I cannot get out. The business tells me that I am the only one that's had a double problem in all of its years but I just think that maybe people didn't allow them to fix their mistake like I did... this business isn't sanitary. It isn't professional. And your nails will not last. Please consider going somewhere else. Their pricing is incredibly high. What you pay will be different from what you see on the site please go somewhere else anywhere else. $195 for a pedicure that didn't last and that left my feet dryer than before, and two failed nail attempts. read more

Since I'm new to the area, I'm still on the hunt for "my" nail salon. Made my appointment online and received text message confirmation of my appointment. The day if I received a text requesting that I come at 6pm instead of 5:30pm which was fine for my schedule. If you are a person of non-hispanic decent do not visit this salon. The nail techs try to only speak in Spanish and are extremely rude. I visited this salon on vacation fwith my daughter. We are from Chicago and we are black. I made an appointment but we're left standing at the door while everyone stared at us like we were lost. Just as I was preparing to leave because I could tell my daughter was uncomfortable they seated us. The nail tech who helped me has a tattoo on her left upper arm and a long sleek high ponytail. She was rude and rough with the pedicure. When I said for hot water she pretended not to understand. When I asked her to use more lotion because told her fellow nail techs that she would charge me for a pedicure and a massage in Spanish. I immediately told her not to touch me because I didn't want to continue to allow her to disrespect me. I guess she didn't know that I understand Spanish. I understand that racism still very much exists and it's sad that my daughter and I had this experience on our vacation to Miami. But if you're looking for a salon/spa like experience, I wouldn't say this is it. There's been 2 times where I make an appointment online with one person, but when I come they're busy just getting started with someone else. I'm a very particular person so although I'm sure all their techs are great, I like to stick to who I know. My schedule is normally pretty packed, so I like to get in and be seen right away if I made my appointment at that time, or at least be notified if my tech is running late. The manicure itself looks great. I get the hard gel done on my natural nails - no tips. No complaints on the nails themselves, just more so the service. They're also open late which is nice, but not so nice when they're running late. I'm pretty disappointed- Johan is probably the only sweetheart in this place. But I seem to have an issue everytime I come. No one greets you in a friendly way and gives you this annoying look. (Other than Johan and the other guy) Today was horrible. The girls were vaping while doing nails, texting while doing nails. One of the workers was sitting in a pedicure chair, as I came in for my appt for a pedicure, she sat in the chair texting on her phone and not moving a muscle while I stood up for ten minutes (appt was at 530) and she didn't get up until 540. A girl came in for a polish fix on one nail and that same worker sat on her phone and finished texting her novel she was writing and then got up so I can sit and she can do the poor girls nail. I recently moved to the area and I am looking to become the next resident client of a nail shop in my neighborhood. I am queasy about going to new places and highly meticulous about how my hands and feet look. After all, I do not have a problem paying top dollar and tipping well for that perfect mani and pedi. After a google search, I came across NailBox. I was there right after they opened as a walk-in. I loved the the chic decor and loft vibe instantly. It was a little hard to choose a color with the very limited dip color options. They had every spectrum colors of gels. I just loved how they had the colors coordinated not all over the place. My tech, Zory, was timid at first but very nice. I am talkative and like to converse with my techs. I had a bad case of allergies and she was patient with all my sneezing , sniffing and stuffy nose. Gel Pedicure was ok. Took her time to trim and file. I loveee foot rubs and everyone can agree that they are the best part of pedis but I was screwed this week. On the other hand, I am not happy with my dip mani. I expected perfect and immaculate nails for $120 (+$20 tip). I had to get a layer of acrylic on my middle finger since my natural nail was chipped. The nail was not filed properly. On top of that hiccup, She had to put gel polish on top of my dip to cover the gap between my cuticle and where the polish started. And on some nails, the gel cured on my cuticle. She offered me water right before the end of my service, which was a nice gesture, even though I think it was too late after 4 hours of being there. I'll give the place another shot, just because I love the vibe. I just hope the next nail tech exceeds my expectations. read more
