Stopped by and got a great shellac pedicure with a summery watermelon design. Salon was nice and clean and all the massage chairs were in great condition and working properly. I showed one of the technicians a photo of a watermelon from Pinterest and she was able to recreate the same look on my big toes. A very random thing happened while I was there as well. Some sort of inspector showed up unannounced to check on licenses and paperwork. Everything went really well for the salon so good on them for doing business the way you should. read more

Beware I came in for a fill that was supposed to cost $22 (their board SAYS $20 for gel fill in) and got charged $37 because I had gel nails and the technician did not tell me it was extra for "gel powder" (after research there's no such thing as gel powder. If they mix powder with a liquid it is NOT gel). I feel scammed. On top of that my nails are uneven and paint on my finger. The coffin shape looks more like square. Polish was applied unevenly. it was a bad experience, the person that was waiting for me was super rude since the beginning , she was in a hurry that her work was poor. She cut me twice and paint my nails on top of the blood. I did not want to continue because she wanted to finish so bad that it felt that i was a problem for her. Her towels were used and full of nails from other people. She did no clean anything. The individual who did my pedicure was rough and rushed. She dabbed and on the polish instead of swiping it on, and relied on the nail polish remover at the end to try to clean up the work. Today I had the worst experience I've ever had while having my nails done. The nail technician "Yennyslady" was not even paying attention to what she was doing, and in result of that she cut my toe. The cut was bad enough that it would not stop bleeding. She was more interested in what purchasing purses off a street vendor than doing her job. It had been hours after I left the nail salon and I was still bleeding from my toe. I attached pictures to show how bad it looks. I was flying through Miami and was recommended this place by the young lady at my hotel's front desk. I have been getting dip for years, and I'm not kidding when I say this is the BEST manicure I've ever gotten. I never knew coffin shape could be so symmetrical!! I'm slightly OCD, so I notice all the little things, and every nail is identical. The length is identical (as they should be), but even the width at the top is exactly symmetrical when comparing left to right. They're also thin but sturdy. Most beautiful manicure I've ever had. JC stands for the couples initials that own the salon, and they were beyond friendly. This will be my go to place anytime I fly through/I'll try an make sure my layovers are long enough just so I can go. I should note that it was the wife/owner who did my nails! I got lost on the way to another nail salon and out of desperation, I went to JC Spa Nails after passing by and seeing it. Even though it was dirty and dingy on the outside, I decided to give it a chance. Wrong decision. The building was covered in dirt and grime, the technicians did not sanitize their tools, and the woman who did my nails talked on her cell phone the entire time. She said all of one word to me. To top it all off, she kept overpainting my nails and rubbed off all the extra polish with a crusty paintbrush dipped in acetone, and there was dead skin still surrounding my nail beds. I left as fast as I could, unfortunately skipping out on my original plan to get a pedicure, and on the way home my skin started to burn. My nails look horrible and JC "Spa" Nails ruined my "me time." Save your money, don't go here. read more

The co owner Cindy is rude and extremely controversial when she doesnt agree with your choice or complaints on nail work done to you and even gets verbally aggresive. Additionally, some of the employees talk out loud about client's private lives and give opinions on their client's situations as they add to what they know by client or by hearsay. Great salon if you are in the area. They always have room for walk-ins. It's a little loud but there are massage chairs and you can relax a bit before you leave. At $32 for a mani pedi, you can't beat it. They do regular, acrylic, gel and dip nails here. read more

I have been going to this salon since I was about 15-16 years old. I haven't stopped going since because 1. The prices are reasonable and 2. I've never had any problems with anyone there. Service is great, the facility is well maintained (sanitary and nicely organized) and every nail technician truly takes pride in their work. Came in as a walk-in yesterday and got seated with Ortega. She was very nice but cut way too much cuticles to the point it hurts to wash my hands, even a day after, because of all the cuts she made. This was my second time getting powder dip nails done, 1st time at this store. She did 2 thin coats which resulted in 2 nails getting chipped within a day of having them done. I have gotten dip manicures for about 6 years now, and never once has my manicure lasted less than 2 weeks. It's been about 4 days, and all of my nails have fallen off without me doing anything laborious. I'm not high maintenance, but when paying $40 for a manicure, I expect it to last for at least 10 days. This was only the cherry on top though - my manicurist cut my cuticles and I was bleeding for 20 minutes. Granted, my cuticles are sensitive, but the manicurist proceeded to put acetone on my bleeding nail bed (despite me telling her that is not a good idea) which only caused my finger to bleed more. She didn't clean the supplies she used after and even blew on my bleeding nail with her mouth, leaving me to believe the entire salon operates in an unsanitary matter. Please don't waste your time here -- spend the extra 5 dollars and 5 minutes venturing out elsewhere to avoid an infection and a poorly executed manicure. read more

JC Nails will give you a good mani and pedi.. the service, however, kinda sucks. The couple that owns it (John and Cindy) are really nice.. everyone else that works there is pretty much Cuban and some, l hate to say, as I am Cuban myself, seem pretty fresh off the boat in their characters. They're loud, they curse in conversation talking to each other, and your nail experience isn't as relaxing as it should be. Do your nails look fantabulous when you're done-- YES. So, JC is a trade-off between a great mani/pedi and a relaxing day at the nail salon... if you don't mind the crazy women- try it out... and even though walkins are welcome, make an appointment- even if its for the same day. If you have an appointment- you get called on first. One more thing-- you can't leave the tip on your credit card, so make sure to bring some cash. read more

Wow. Might be the worst mani/pedi I've ever gotten. I am in Miami on business and every time I come here I have trouble finding a good place to get my nails done. After reading at least 10 reviews I drove about 20 minutes to go to JC Nails. I'm so angry I took the advice of these women who clearly don't know a good mani/pedi. I now realize New York City has the best nail salons at least on the east coast. Don't know where to start... As a few other reviewers wrote, the women talk to each or on the phone pretty much all the time. I was desperate for a mani/pedi so I didn't let that bother me. However, when it was time to 'pick a color' I was greeted by OPI, Essie (both really good) then about 5 other labels as well. A mess of nail polish brands is usually an indication of what's to come and my theory held true.... My nail technician took out her tools that weren't in any solution and she didn't spray them with alcohol so I asked her if her tools were sanatized and she seemed offended. Then she proceeded to hack at my cuticles with reckless abandon. I was so nervous she would cut me that I sat there wincing almost the entire time. After she finished chopping off half of the skin on my fingers she lotioned my hands with the emotion of a dead fish... then instead of taking out a nice warm towel like I"m used to in ALL NYC salons she told me to go wash my hands! Now why the heck would she lotion my hands then tell me to take it off?? Did I mention she started with my mani and not my pedi??? that made absolutely no sense! I've never gotten my hands done first so I would have to struggle to take off my shoes... lift my dress... grab my cell phones... not one iota of sense! Then... the best part - my 'pedicure'. Once again she HACKED away and this time she cut me TWICE. I yelped with pain and she had the audacity to say in Spanish 'oh its fine... its just two little cuts'. I should've been beyond shocked but given the way she hacked at my nails and the overall feel of this place instead of being shocked I was angry at myself for having stayed after seeing what the place looked like. I tried to be positive and hope for the best and as a reward I was cut 'only twice' and charged for a manicure and 'spa pedicure' that was hands down the worst ever. You get the picture but forgot to add on my hands EVERY single nail she painted the skin (not cuticles as I had none left) around my nails which resulted in her having to stab me with her wooden stick to remove the color. As for the 'spa pedicure' apparently at this place spa means putting your feet in blue water... there was no foot salts... no foot scrub... no leg massage... no warm towels. NADA I will never ever go back nor will ever doubt my theory about the polish brands... and never ever believe any woman in Miami when she says a place is worthy of my money and FIVE stars. Wow. Next time I want to throw money away I'm going to drive over to the highway exit and give it to the first zombie I see with a sign asking for money... for at least he'll at least get food or drugs and enjoy some euphoria that clearly I didn't get here. ** Its been about 45 minutes since I left the place and my toes that 'just have two little cuts' STILL HURT. read more

Remember that creepy kid in elementary school that would sit there and bite their nails all day? Yeah, that was me and it didn't stop there. I have relentlessly chewed my nails for years and years and had to pay the price for it... messed up nail beds and evergrowing cuticles. EW! .....But I was saved! About 5 months ago a friend recommended this place to me and I thank (BABY JESUS and) my friend so much! My first time at JC Nails was as a walk- in and I was seated with Lee who is basically the BEST thing since sliced bread... yeah, I went there. She whipped my nails into shape and I can't thank her enough. Lee is the one person I will let touch my nails but my friends use some of the other techs and love them as well. This place was too sketchy. I wanted to at least give it 2 stars but the reality of it is, that it was just too unsanitary. Do not expect liners, new tools or even fresh towels for that matter. My technician pulled out tools that were clearly used during both instances(manicure & pedicure) AND to top it off even the towels where I placed my hands and feet were full of skin and nail clippings from past clients. I do not understand how this place could run like this. It has to be a breeding ground for fungus. read more

Will not be visiting this salon again. It was a complete waste of my time, and most importantly, my money. I went in for a full set of acrylics and a pedicure. The pedicure was nothing more than a foot wash. The water was cold as ice, and there were no oils, salts, or anything in the water. The "massage" that I received on my feet was laughable. The tech merely lotioned them up. She then proceeded to cut all the skin off of my cuticles. I ended up with several cuts on my cuticles, and when I pointed out that I was bleeding she simply shrugged it off. She then used acetone on my toes, even around the cuts. OUCH! I should've left right then, but because someone else was going to do my nails, I thought that it would get better. Boy was I wrong. So as I'm trying to recover from my burning cuticles, I sit in the chair waiting on y manicure to start. It looks horrible btw. It looks like I have plastic boulders on my fingers. The acrylic is so thick, it's ridiculous. She did not file the nails well at all, and I ended up with glue and unfiled debris under them. I have posted pics, so you can see for yourself. Please, save yourself the horror. Manis/Pedis are supposed to be relaxing experiences. This was not even close. There is no reason why I should have left there all cut up and bloodied. NEVER going back! Oh and P.S. Don't even let me begin with parking. It is a shared parking lot with about 5 different businesses, and there are only like 10 parking spots. SMH. Personally, I like to go the to Vietnamese to get my nails done. I don't know, they just do it better. Since this originally listing for this nail salon was Vo Nails, I decided to give it a try b/c when I called to asked for the price, it seemed reasonable ($26 for mani/pedi). When I arrived, I thought I had wrote the address wrong b/c the sign clearly said JC Nails. Regardless, I went in and got what I came for. Though the nail salon is owned by Vietnamese, the lady that did my mani/pedi was Cuban. I was unsure at first but was very satisfied when I left. read more

They also have many other women that are good at doing mani and pedi's. They accept appointments which is a big plus! They get very busy and parking can sometimes be an issue. I've had the manicure for 7 days now and it is still immaculate. Not chipped at all. This is very impressive since I work with my hands. I am so delighted with this manicure so far! I have had gel done before and it would barely last a week before I'd get at least one chip. The product they use (Calgel) seems to be great! I tried to get Jacqueline, based on recommendations from other Yelpers, but she was unavailable. I ended up with a nice technician named Lee who was polite, speedy and did an awesome job on both my feet and nails. I've had the manicure for 10 days now and it is still IMMACULATE.
