I decided to try out WaxMee S&S, because I noticed from their Instagram posts that their results looked beautiful, even on different people with different hair styles/colors/textures/etc. They don't just work the trendy blonde balayage, but they work with darker color and reds, too, which takes skills. HAIR: Ask for Romina, she is amazing! Romina took her time with the initial consult to truly understand what had been done to my hair by a previous hairstylist. I really appreciated this, because lately, a lot of stylists tend to tell you what they want to do with your hair. That's fine if you're open to the surprise, but feeling heard is so important for someone who knows what they want. Her work is not cookie-cutter. She truly tailors the style to each person, and makes suggestions based on experience and on your particular needs. Romina was efficient, fast, knowledgeable, skilled, professional and friendly. I appreciated that she was on time, got to work right away, was mindful of the time and communicative throughout the process. I asked her to cut about 5-6 inches off of my hair, which she did. This is important, because for some reason, it seems other stylists are afraid to use their scissors and they end up only trimming the ends! Romina listened and understood what I wanted, and delivered a new style and color that looks very natural and tailored to me! I will definitely be back and highly recommend that you book with her. I love my new hair color and cut! NAILS: The manicure was a last-minute add-on, but that didn't mean I had to wait long. The owner immediately called one of the manicurists who got to work on my nails as Romina was doing my hair. I truly appreciate this, because they don't waste your time. I loved that I was able to get two services done at once, so that I did not have to end up spending the entire day at the salon. The manicurist was so good and fast! For a moment I thought she was rushing it, but the end result was flawless. My only regret is not remembering her name, although I do remember her face. I will be back to see her as well. Moreover, Bia, gave me great first time customer discounts on my waxing/sugaring and informed me of a membership program whereby I would pay an initiation fee of $9.99, $45 a month to get a full bikini wax and 10% off of any additional waxing/sugaring services. I found out too that they also offer laser hair removal services as well as hydra facials, microdermabrasion and various natural facial peels. However, they went on to open another location, which is the South Miami location. I decided to switch locations to their South Miami since it was closer to home. What a mistake. What a disappointment. Most recently, I had to contact the office manager at the South Miami location, her name is Greta. She still has not called me back or emailed me back. You would think that during these unprecedented times, they would be taking precautions and following CDC guidelines with their customers and staff. Not the case in this office. My appointment was at 2:20 PM on September 4th, and it was 3:10 PM and I still wasn't seen. I was still waiting in that waiting room while people kept coming in and out, one after the other, and the technician was still unavailable to see me. Horrible experience. We make appointments for a reason!!!!!! It's understandable having to wait 10, 15 minutes, maybe even 30 minutes, but 50 minutes????? Come on. More exposure for me to have gotten Covid-19!!! Never going back there again. They lost my business of over 5 years. I would however, try their coral way location.
