I got a pedicure yesterday, the woman cut my wrong, dug into the side of my nail, I got an infection, then had the podiatrist this morning to get my toe numbed to get my toe nail taken off. I went back to the salon with my foot wrapped up, asking for a refund. I understand accidents happen, I said they could keep the tip money, but I would like a refund for the service. Well I'm sadden to write a bad review because I was realllly looking forward to my pampering but unfortunately it didn't turn out this way I went in the day bfor valentines day to do my nails. I completely understand that they will be extremely packed considering the next day is valentines, but I did (patiently) wait 3 hours before I got service and when I finally got serviced which I am so needed of this pampering by now. I had gone in for a simple manicure and pedicure when they specialize in color powder acrylic which I must confess they are amazing in, but unfortunately they sucked at doing manicure.. My biggest thing about manicures are cuticles because if they are not cut off correctly they grow horribly! The lady sucked I still have half of cuticle skin on the top part of my nails. Not only that but cleaning my nails after polish and filling them. Horrible! Omg I have to go home now and file them correctly because they are raspy and the Polish is still on my skin. And then to top it off when she put my top clear polish (I painted my nails white) it made burgundy strips very light but definitely noticeable being white is such a crisp color. I did mention this to my lady she just put more clear on top which didn't solve NOTHING! Ugh I'm pissed writing this review! I spent 4 hours in total and 40 dollars for a cheap manicure and pedicure I could have done a better job if only I knew how to do my right hand -.- (the struggle) Moral of the story, if you know I (patiently) waited for 3 hours to do my nails. I expect you do them good because it's not easy to wait 3 hours for a manicure. It must mean I REALLLLYYYY want it and with that said I also really want a good job at the end of the day you chose that job and I understand you're tired, but c'mon be a little Courteous. I waited about 10 minutes or so for him to finish up another client. He did let me know that he would be right with me. He also asked me to check out his instagram to show him what I would like my nails to look like. When I sat down at his table, he immediately asked me what I would like and gave me his suggestions. The use of methyl methacrylate monomer is illegal in the state of Florida. it is too firm and adheres too well to the natural nail plate and damages it. The legal monomer to use is EMA. I couldn't see an area for disinfection and a UV sterilizer isn't axtually effective for sterilization when used as a storage for tools. They used a previously used nail file on me, and normally I'd dismiss that, but now that I know they use illegal and dangerous chemicals, I don't know if that was safe. I've already been to the ER, and when I called she pretended not to understand anything. If my injury gets worse or my nails grow back, I will update this. it's still very distressing and affecting my job. $80 to have to struggle to remove the nails the very next day (MMA is harder to remove than EMA, if the nails do not soak off in 10-15 mins, or if it comes off like a clear liquid goo at any point, it's probably MMA.) The whole time the one and only nail technician they have was arguing with me because 1.he over charged me a different price from what he said on the phone and ONCE the acrylic was already on. 2. Then told me he had to charge me more for coffin shape. And 3. After going to my regular nail spot and finding it closed I ventured off looking for a good nail spot. Thanks to the yelp reviews I found Top Nails and apparently it was my lucky day and Tommy, who only works on appts was able to do my nails. He did a phenomenal job! Then, I got my pedi by a lady , I think her name is Dania. She did a great job too. Now the place is small and very busy. Pedi chairs are the big massage chairs and the tools are sterilized. Parking is free but extremely congested. Also what I loved about Tommy's service is that they have colored acrylic powder. The nails look great for three weeks. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for about a year and have had enough. The only good thing about this place are the cheap affordable prices-- i guess you get what you pay for. Julie the owner would do my nails. I would call her ahead of time to make an appointment and there were several times when she would give me the OK to come and when I got to the salon another customer would be in her chair being serviced and I would have to wait. She would then say "____ will do your nails" , why would you tell me it's ok to come at a certain time when you were already servicing people at that same time? This was just a way to make sure people would come and that the shop would make money. In addition there is no AC. There was a day I went in to get my nails done and had to ask several times to open a window or door because it was too hot! We are in MIAMI IN THE SUMMER, stop being cheap and turn on the AC!!! I will NEVER be going back to this Salon and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you are trying to save some coin and experience a poor hot and sweaty service. read more
