I didn't get my nails done here but I want to sincerely thank the staff for their honesty. I have gel polish on and chipped the polish. They let me know that I'd need a full service manicure and I wouldn't make my flight if I did that. I super appreciate that they didn't set me up for failure because this is an important flight for us. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Got a 30 minute table massage and it was awesome! The only reason I didn't give five stars is because they didn't enforce the "quiet zone" and some lady was talking on her phone while I was getting a massage which was distracting. Also, only two people were working...one person doing massage and one doing pedicures. There were plenty of people who wanted services but had to wait because only two people were working. read more

The only good thing here is the massage chairs; the male staff employee is lazy. I came in for a 20-minute chair massage, which was great, but I wanted a 30-minute foot massage and chakra bed treatment. Instead, I was taken to a bed with just one sheet and no blankets offered no neck pillow on a FLAT BED WOW ! ... even though I saw blankets in the closet. There was also a ton of neck pillow. I've been going to Xpress Spa for over 10 years, and this is by far the worst customer service experience I've had. At 9:30 AM on September 28, the male worker was unprofessional. Your company missed out on revenue due to this lack of professionalism. I was told the blankets were being washed, yet you can clearly see in the attached photo that blankets and neck pillows were available in the closet. Overall, the woman was working hard, but the male worker was just not putting in the effort. Big mistake hiring him I can't imagine how much money Xpress Spa has missed because of the LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. read more

REALLY disappointing service. It took her a full hour to remove my gel. She kept losing the drill and it would spin and peal off my nail multiple times per nail, and she didn't fully get the color off. She said I had to get a manicure in addition to the gel charge and the gel removal charge because it takes time to prep the nail (which I know is common for some salons), but after she was done removing gel, she spent 3 minutes prepping the nail, and after painting she spent 1 minute moisturizing. The whole service took an hour and a half, and turned out unfinished. She was kind and had good intentions, but I had to pay $65 plus tip for nails that had less quality than my nails done by friends in nail school. This deserves a refund! read more

Great idea to have a spa in an airport! My boyfriend was feeling miserable during our 8hr layover so he while he did 30 mins in the relaxation recliners, I got my nails done. I chose a sparkly silver color. It was pretty, but the polish was applied in almost an unintentional ombré.. it's much thicker in the front of my nails than around my cuticle. The nail technician was very friendly and I did love the shape of my nails. It's a good way to pass the time at an airport. read more

It's conveniently located near D10 (and the Centurion Lounge is D12) so I made a pit stop a few minutes prior to boarding time. As soon as I walked in I noticed how clean and pleasant-smelling it is. The staff greeted me right away and got me set up on a chair, complete with pillow and blanket, and offered me some water. Off to a nice start! The massage is your basic chair massage with a remote control to adjust your settings as needed, but felt great to ease a little tension after the busy holidays. I checked out the rest of the menu of offerings and you can get everything from massages to manicures to your hair done. Prices are moderate to high but not unreasonable (you are at the airport after all!) but it's definitely a great way to kill time and reduce a little stress. read more

Great way to kill 20 minutes while waiting for a flight. I came and got a foot massage and my masseur did a great job, providing just the right amount of pressure. The massage, coupled with the massage chair that you're sitting in, is enough to send anyone into a total relaxed state. The only point of complaint is that I was supposed to only wait 7 minutes or so before my massage started, but I ended up waiting over 20 minutes. On the plus side though, because there were several girls in the group that were not getting massages, the staff let them sit in empty massage chairs and use the chair for free. Also the manager came around with tiny shots of espresso from Cafe Versailles. Yes. Over priced for what it is, but you're in an airport. What do you expect. This particular location is larger than most. Even so, I still had a short wait for someone to be available for an express manicure ($30). Minor communication issues with the manicurist, but I wasn't looking for anything fancy and my dislike of even clear nail polish seems to perplex every manicurist I run into. Located in the American Airlines terminal by gate 10. If your flight is near by great, if not you can take the air tran. Easy! If you travel as frequently as I do and have little time to get things done before each trip this is a great way to get your hair and nails done while you wait for your flight. Prices are fair. They rank up there with a higher end salon but hey, you're at the airport and it's all about the convenience and location. I don't mind it because I'm usually trying to fit as much as I can into my day as I possibly can and usually plan to go to Xprespa before my flight. Plan for at least an hour for your hair and the same for your nails. Best part is that you can hang out on the massage chairs and be comfy before your flight in stead of those hard, not so comfortable airport gate seating benches. There is a bathroom right next to the spa so you can just get up if you need to go and not worry about leaving your bags for the two minutes you are away. Staff is very friendly, professional and they do a really good job on your hair and nails. I was a little bit scared the first time I went because you don't know what to expect when you let a new person touch your hair. I was so pleased with the experience that I now schedule getting my hair done at this location into my travels. There isn't a lot of turnover in staff so they know what they are doing and even ask you about your flight details to get you on your way accordingly. I haven't experienced the massages yet other than the chairs so I can't tell you about that. However, the many times I've been there I have seen many ppl get a massage and they all look very relaxed and pleased after. read more

I felt very comfortable , he applied the right amount of pressure in the right areas . Possibly the worst manicure I've ever gotten. One star is too many...and I paid $65 plus tip. She managed to successfully buff the skin off my finger with the nail file and either painted part of the nail or the entire finger, including the skin. I was in such shock I just paid and left. I looked on the wall for her license but I didn't want to be completely obvious. She also used the heaviest file to buff the old gel polish off but she didn't stop, which left me with brittle nails and 2 have since broken off at the quick and 5 nails with chipped gel polish after less than a week. The pictures below were taken the same day and don't even show the bubbles and pick points in the polish. I'm back from vacation and now headed to pay to hopefully salvage what is left of my nails. If you are looking for a full fledged nail salon that does deluxe spa pedicures with fancy packages (i.e. hot rock stone massage, Milk and honey or some other tropical flavored spa pedicure), this is NOT it. I came here when I had time to spare before my flight. I spent $50 for what I felt was a very BASIC pedicure, equivalent to a $15 or $20 pedicure at a regular nail salon. If I knew I wasn't going to get much of anything from that "spa pedicure" I would have opted for a simple cut down/polish change which I believe was $25, which is still overpriced but I wouldn't have felt as shortchanged if I had opted for that service instead. The nail tech I had simply filled a bowl with water and used that for me to "soak" my feet. There isn't any pizzazz: no pedicure powder, no leg massage, no buffing machine (so I had to settle for clear top coat nail polish which chipped the next day), and I didn't get a good scrub down on my feet/heels. Perhaps the massages are better but even if they are better who wants to get a body massage in front of passersby and passengers trying to get to their gates? Hopefully this isn't a representation of how ALL the XpresSpa's are but even if it isn't I don't plan on patronizing them again. read more

I stopped in to get a gel pedi today around 10 a.m after my flight landed. The service was nice the atmosphere was good I was overall pleased with my express pedi , until I just took my shoes off and discovered that the polish had bubbled severely. I am a licensed manicurist and have been in the field 15 years. So when I saw the bubbles polish ,I knew for a fact that my polish had not been properly cured in the led lamp. I do gel manis and pedis daily and I know the in's and outs...I did notice she was having some issues with the lamp staying on,but she never gave an indication that something was wrong. Long story short, I have wasted $60 on a gel pedi, and I have to find another place here while I'm on vacation to service me. read more

I give it the median score because I've had good service at SFO before. If just on this one experience it would be 2 stars. $35 for 15 minutes - to be expected. Immediately the masseuse tried to up-sell me - predictable. I can handle all that. But what was disconcerting was that while giving me a massage he said the "F" word and "sh*t" to another employee while asking what another employee was doing to their client. Dude, stop worrying about everyone else. I'm paying for you to worry only about me, right? :-) I also know from masseuse friends that your hands are never to leave the client. About 3 times he sort of disappeared & then I heard him exclaiming to others. One time someone came in he knew, and he slightly-less-than-shouted: "Yeaaaah! That's my man raiiiight thurrrr!" and proceeded to high five him. His other speak and brackish laughter made me feel like I was in a movie about urban Miami youths. If I was in a bar we probably would've been friends, but I wasn't. I was paying for a relaxing massage. His actual masseuse work he did around all his other activities was good, but I think my blood pressure went up more than I was relaxed. I have had massages at many places over the years; my hometown in San Francisco, Ojai, Manila, Tokyo, Vancouver to name some, and his massage ranked up there at the very top. Enrique putting his whole concentration and energy into the massage and knew how to modulate the massage over the course of my 45 minute treatment. Worth every penny. I all the sudden has a 5 hour delay with loads of time to kill. Decided to finally check this place out and got an hour table massage and express mani. Both were awesome. The massage was really top notch and even though the price looks steep for what looks like a basic spa place and not a high end spa - the lady gave a true high end massage. Then the mani after - the woman did a great job too! Slightly more then a street mani price BUT the quality was spot on verses some places outside that you never know what you can get... now I am letting the nails dry in their super comfy massage chair. Then while getting a hair cut and beard trim the electric razor (no idea why she wasn't using the safety cap) scratched up my neck red and raw (short of blood but not by much).
