Getting ready for a big work event and needed a manicure. the salon was clean and everyone was nice, too bad I was badly cut and praying to not get an infection. The skin on my cuticles was totally intact when I entered the establishment, it was an honest mistake, of course. I would never have a nail service done on broken skin, it's like swimming in a hot tub with an open wound. Well, I loved the service and how fast it was but the gel here is definitely not recommended 3 days after doing it and the nail polish is already coming off. Paid 85$ in total , not fair, my friend came to do her nails with me and she did acrylics gel the nails ended up falling off 3 days after doing our nails. The owner is extremely unprofessional and aggressive. He was irritated by basic nail questions. I would not recommend his store to anyone as the climate was anything but relaxing. I feel sorry for any of his employees that have to be subjected to his rude and arrogant demeanor. Post response : The owner is a liar . His response to the post is an absolute lie. His staff member or perhaps wife came out and tried to apologize for his demeanor and to get me to come back into the salon. She was embarrassed by his behavior and ask me to come back in. Went to them instead of my usual nail tech because I go to school around there and was going on vacation but got my nails redone by my nail tech the day I got home, less than a week before I got them done here. The nails were three different lengths, some spots weren't even fully covered in nail polish , and the shape was practically non existent (she filed them once before acrylic and polish and that was it). And while I was on my trip, the nails already started to chip. Maybe worth $30/$40 definitely not over $80. Wrote this review on google, owner responded by implying that I lied????? I made an appointment 4 days in advance so I'm confused and concerned how they have no record of me being there. I don't understand why I would have any motive to write a bad review on a place "I did not experience first hand." Their response is a clear indication to me that the nail salon is in denial of how bad of a service I received and only cares about trying to make it look like I'm a liar rather than owning up to their own mistakes. Definitely will be warning my friends about this experience so they won't have to go through it either. My bff always has an impeccable mani, and well it has been a minute since I have gotten a mani this quarantine so I opted to try out her spot! In times of Covid-19 it is super important for me to feel both safe and beautified. Q's studios provide just that! Located on 57th and sunset - the first major perk is that there is free parking in the lot of the shopping plaza, WIN! As for social distancing protocol - there is hardly anyone in the salon at the same time as you. And everyone is required to wear a mask. They let you know when it's ok to come inside (aka after they are at a safe capacity of guests which from the looks of it is about 3 at a time far apart in this large space). As for the colors - Q's got all the newest colors OPI, Essie, all that jazz. Everything is v clean, and you also have the option to buy your own nail kit so when you visit the tools they are using are sterilized (like all their tools) but belong soley to you. An awesome idea for repeat customers. This is a family run business in the heart of South Miami and Q has been helping make mani dreams come true for a long time. My boyfriend and I came in for a mani pedi and the owner had plenty of open space and plenty of manicurists but yet the owner refused to sit my boyfriend and me next to each other. When we asked if we could sit next to each other, he responded that the manicurists were required (by him) to sit at specific chairs and that they could not accommodate our request. I then said that because I needed to talk to my boyfriend about something important during our nails that couldn't wait, that we would only be doing manicures and not pedicures as well. Q's Studios is one of the BEST nail salons in the Miami area. I live in Brickell and drive all the way to this South Miami location because this nail salon is so awesome, on point and provides quality customer service to their customers. It's totally worth the 35 minute drive. I felt very safe doing my nails during the pandemic at this salon. They have a mandatory mask wearing policy and they are constantly cleaning the nail stations and have the Plexiglass dividers at the nail stations for added protection. Free Parking for clients.
