Unfortunately there's no option for 0 stars. The appointment landed me in the doctors office. The dip process burst the blood vessels under my nail bed that my physician thought it was fungus. He referred me to a dermatologist (Dr. Frankly Kerdel- he's amazing) who tested under the nail-bed and determined that's what it was and not fungus. It was severe bruising from the drilling during the dip process. That was a blessing. This was certainly and unforgettable experience and I hope they've learned from this. The healing process took six months to heal. I'm better now and I hope they are too. read more

This review is long overdue. I have been taking my elderly mother there for almost 3 years now and it's been an overall pleasant experience. There was an issue with the first nail tech where she basically (and admittedly accidentally) ruined up my mother's new blouse with nail polish and didn't even apologize, even blamed her for it. I read all of the reviews before I booked my appointment here and to be honest it was a really solid experience. NATHALIE was delightful and very experienced, she gave me an excellent gel Mani Pedi. I'm glad I called to.book an appointment, there are clearly a huge army of women who come to this salon regularly that just don't leave reviews. Some had food delivered, some knew exactly where they wanted to sit doe their treatments and the obliging staff accommodated them graciously. Newcomers like myself were given the same gracious treatment but I noticed not many of the regulars were generous tippers. Do NOT come here. This is the rudest salon I've ever been too. I was extremely unhappy with my nails as they were crooked, the paint wasn't painted evenly (there were gaps all around the color). I expressed this to the technician and she said she didn't have time to fix them because she had a PARTY to go to. Told me I still had to pay for them. The manager LISA is absolutely TERRIBLE. The most rude woman I have ever met. She won't speak to you. She won't even LOOK at you. She was the only other one in the salon and she wasn't saying anything to me when I was expressing how terrible my nails looked. She sat there, speaking another language to the woman I was complaining to, and they completely ignored me. At one point they both just sat there in silence, like they have no urge to fix the problem and my problems were so inconvenient . They could care LESS if you're happy with your nails or not. Absolutely terrible people. Cared about their party so much more than me paying 80 dollars for mani pedi and not being happy with the outcome. If you want to run a successful business maybe care about and speak with your customers. Wanted to get my nails done while I waited for my car to get serviced and this place seemed to be the least expensive option with availability in the Gables. Made an appointment for 1:30 and waiting about 15 minutes to be seated. Color options are definitely good and pedicure was fast and good. The gel manicure was interesting. The gentleman kept using his fingernail to push back my cuticles and the gel lepta coming out clumpy. He was about to put on a 4th coat of color when I told him to just put the top coat and call it a day. When I madre the appointment online, it would come out to $55 but when it came time to pay he told me $60. The whole time, the Hispanic. AOL techs were complaining of being overbooked during their lunch break and even had one woman wait while they took a break in the back. Since I am planning on traveling out of town for a few days, I wanted to get a mani/pedi. I called BNT since they are located up the street from me. I was able to get an appointment with Leanne for this afternoon. When I arrived, Leanne was ready for me. She provided me with a pedicure and top notch acrylic gel fill in. It was the best mani/pedi I've had since moving down here in November!. I'll definitely return in a couple of weeks with high hopes of another great experience! I wish I was a girl who loved getting her nails done. Don't get me wrong, I love HAVING them done but the actual process to me is pure torture. It has something to do with my very impatient mindset that leads to a ten minute wait feeling like it actually takes at least an hour. That being said, I still get my nails done once every 2-3 weeks and I finally have settled on BNT Nails being my go-to place. After trying a few different salons around the area, this one always turned out being the most efficient and long-lasting at a good price. The people working there are pretty friendly and willing to listen to any special requests you might have. It's open until late and even on the weekends but it does fill up right after work on the weekdays, attesting to its popularity. I've only been here once, but that experience gets 5 stars! I went on a Sunday morning (not long after it opened at 11 a.m.) and they were able to take me immediately. By the time I left, nearly every worker had a customer, so calling ahead is probably a good idea. They have more shellac color options than any other nail place I've been to in the area. I only got a manicure but I was in and out in less than 40 minutes (this is crucial because as much as I like getting my nails done, I HATE the process of actually getting them done!) Unfortunately, she did not bluff my nails and I didn't notice until she started my pedicure. My manicure did not last for a week. Although, she did a much better job on my pedicure then my manicure. They have lots of color options and I chose a purple-ish color. The pedicure was great, everything was clean and I didn't feel any discomfort. They went above and beyond when I rushed in 15 minutes before i had to leave for my flight and they immediately fixed a nail that I cracked (my fault) at no charge. First timer at BNT. Passed by on my way out of the hair salon next-door and was hoping for a quickie manicure which is exactly what I got. Quickie in a good way. It was pretty full, but the owner Lisa was available to work on my rough hands. She did a really nice job! I only knocked off one star because I feel like she could've dug in a little deeper into my cuticles. But for a $15 manicure in Coral Gables, I'm not complaining. This place is right next to my house and i needed a pedicure asap, my lady is out of town so i pretty much went in as a walk in. You walk in, no one necessarily greets you, everyone just looks over and you very awkwardly stand there ... I'm like "hi, i need a pedicure please". It's an odd mixture of Asian and Latin employees and it seems like they're constantly trying to figure out what the other is saying. The Latin woman is like "whats going on, what happened?" to the lady next to her as the Asian employees talk, makes it very uncomfortable. I must say the pedicure was great. However, the environment and energy absolutely created a negative for this place for me. It's pale purple walls no tv or music, awkward not friendly but not unfriendly attitude... overall it did not make me feel comfortable. Some people seem to not care about these sorts of things or may be completely unaware. I saw various people walk in, want a pedicure, tell the lady what they want, sit and close their eyes. Not only is this place super close to my job, it's open till 8:00pm! perfect for days when I get out late. Just moved to Coral Gables and found BNT nails through Yelp. I am very picky when it comes to my nails so I was skeptical. BNT nails is a great clean salon. Walking distance from my house so it's easy to get there, not that I would go anywhere else now. Vin does my nails and he is AWESOME and a perfectionist (b/c of this he can be pretty slow) BUT my nails always look perfect! They have thousands of color options, I am not sure if that's a good thing or bad for an indecisive person like me. My pedi turned out pretty nice and the staff was nice, but I saw them using cheese graters to scrub some lady's foot. (Gag!) Then I watched the nail technician bang the dead skin on the grater against a trash can. (Vomit!) They didn't use the cheese grater on me, but they did use a foot scrubber that looked older on my grandmother. I feel compelled to share my mission of finding the best nail salon for your money in Coral Gables (because not everyone that lives here drives a BMW, Mercedes, etc.). #1- THERE IS NO MORE FREE PARKING. Plus there is a parking hawk that watches each car. Believe me, he is ready and not afraid to use his parking ticket gun. Are they clean? Yep Are they fast? Yes Do my nail look immaculate? Yes! The woman that did my manicure (another down side- I hate having an mani and pedi done at the same time) kept TALKING. Loudly. Throughout the entire process. Not to mention, she placed her bare feet on the tub where my feet were soaking (turn off). The woman doing my pedicure had no problem answering her cellphone either, although she didn't stay on the call for long. The cooling gel on my legs and feet were a nice touch. The cream on my hands and arms smelled yummy. However, neither one gave a proper massage that can justify $38 I spent on the mani-pedi. Would I go back? Probably. Ive been here twice now, both times in a hurry for a quick manicure fix bc i had an event that couldnt wait for my regular standing appointment elsewhere. the two times i have left satisfied but not overly excited about the manicure (yes a girl can get excited about a manicure) what is exciting: -the place is very cute, all brand new chairs that are nice to look at, unlike so many other places that look outdated and raunchy, this place is all nice and new. -their color polish selection is out of this world. seriously i think they have every color out there!! -their hours are unreal, open 7 days a week and until 8 pm. this is unheard of! -walk ins welcome, both times ive waltzed in and there was zero wait time. what isnt so great: -my nails chipped within the first 2 days (both times), must be the base coat they use isnt fresh. the mani served its purpose of the quick fix but if i pay for something i would hope i get my moneys worth. -the price, although for coral gables standards the prices are very affordable, i find it expensive for an "asian salon" but i guess you are paying for this new place in a great location. in the end i would go back for another quickie mani but wouldnt expect a marvelous job, just gets the job done without any bells and whistles and lasting power. read more

I had my nails done here for my engagement photo shoot and I have mixed feelings. I went in for a mani (gel) and regular pedi and as soon as the lady started to do my toes, another one came in and started to do my hands. I was not in a rush and I must say that this was not a good first impression. The whole experience felt rushed. In fact, at one point I ruined one of my fingernails and the lady who was doing my hands got pissed. The woman who did my toes though was extremely nice and patient. I wish I could remember her name, she was blonde, that's the only thing I can tell you. As far as the quality of the manicure and pedicure goes, it was ok. They even have dryer machines for toes, so I was out in 40 min with all my nails dry. $38 for both + tips. They accept credit cards, but tips are cash only. I live near this nail salon & use it often - friendly, clean, and reasonably priced for the Gables. (basic pedi: $25 mani: $13) The polish selection is huge, which is a nice touch. All the techs seem very capable - only had one so-so experience with a male tech - an older guy who seemed to be rushing. My most recent pedi with Anita was excellent.
