Almost filed my entire finger nail off.You can see the darker red side of it.How my nails looked after she "removed" the shellac
Alexandra B.

What was supposed to be relaxing turned out to be stressful and everything but relaxing. Specialist seemed to be in a rush which made it impossible to relax. I had booked a spa mani pedi and looked forward to having a relaxing day with my girlfriend. When we arrived everything was fine. The waiting area is ok. Finally my treatment began.. I got the pedicure first and I had shellac on my fingers so it needed to be removed. I have had it removed several times in my life but never experienced something like that. You need to buff it in order to get it off what she did was filing away almost my entire finger nail until it hurt and I begged her to stop. She then told me that this was normal (I will attach pictures so everybody can see that this was everything but not normal) she did it with my entire right hand like that so that I was almost about to tell her she should stop completely and leave. Whatever it can happen I thought the next hand I had her be extra careful and it worked out better. I thought it can only get better but I was wrong. When she started doing my pedicure and scrubbing my skin off she was so harsh that she made me bleed. I showed it to her and the only response I got was it might be my sensitive skin or from the scrub. Imagine how enjoyable my foot bath was after that. Make the best out of it .. Impossible! Done with my feet we went to do my nails. She started putting the base coat and pulled out a silver color. I refused and said I would like to have a french manicure - her response: we don't have the necessary equipment to do it. A spa without a white nail polish? Or without a little brush? I had her do it regular even though I did not like it at all (pictures attached) I decided to not bother anymore. I went to pay.. $150 for something I was not satisfied at all I asked to lower the tip to 10% which they refused. After talking to the manager which was backing off the behavior and job of the "specialist" and did not apologize at all they offered me to come back for a nail polish change.. I refused. Went the next day to my regular nail salon which said they had never seen something like that and had to cut my nails short in order to not have them break. Bottom line: STRESSED EMPLOYEES, NOT RELAXING, NO ESSIE OR BUT LOW QUALITY NAIL POLISH, FRENCH NOT POSSIBLE. Overall a bad experience and I will definitely never come back

When you walk in there is a aroma of peace... Excellent ambiance with an incredible sense of zen. Once you are escorted to the back it was not what I expected. A bunch of rooms as usual but the "changing suites" that have a shower and bathroom were not "available" because it seemed like groupon promos had invaded the spa. The services particularly the massage made up for the lack of spa. The mini facial was just a face wash.. Not worth it at all. Overall, I thought it was a wonderful day but there are many other options in Miami. It's worth a try but not a repeat.

I was not greeted, nor was the other client who entered with me-the girl at the reception desk was on the phone and could not be bothered. After about 5 minutes she looked up and asked if I had an appointment..... Then I was told that since I was an hour early I could not use the restroom. Most people want to relax before a massage, right? So while I was waiting to use the restroom I thought I'd use the steam room - which was broken, and creepy covered in mildew stains and rust. I hope my service is good, but I won't come back. This used to be a lovely spa, but no longer. Sad.

Lorena is amazing. She is super sweet and always makes me feel welcome. I rarely have to wait when I arrive, but if I do, she always offers me something to drink. The prices are average for Miami, but they have specials depending on the day of the week. They also do manicures and pedicures, and there is a deal on Wednesdays for a $30 mani/pedi. I love that there is free parking in the CVS parking lot (just don't leave these businesses if you park here). My only caveat with this place is that I had one bad waxing experience with the other lady (I think her name is Ana)... therefore I always request Lorena when I make an appointment.

I visited Wax On, Wax Off while on vacation. Every other place in Coconut Grove was booked when my…read moremom and I called around, so we finally came across here. It was in walking distance from our hotel (The Mayfair) so that was really convenient. The district overall is super cute and has everything you may need. We called ahead and set an appointment for two pedicures, and even confirmed before getting off the phone that they had the time to fit 2 people in. However, upon arrival only one lady was available. They immediately gave us attitude when we insisted that we needed two spots, but obliged. They don't have you sit in the big, comfy pedicure chairs either. Just regular "dining" chairs for lack of a better word, and a rolling "foot stool" to prop your feet on. For someone with hip issues, like myself, it was extremely uncomfortable having to prop one leg at a time on this foot stool that was at the height of the pedicurist's eye level. Oh yeah...make sure you don't wear a dress/skirt here. As far as soaking goes, it's just the little pedicure tub you can buy at your local Walmart. My polish was sloppy and they didn't even bother rubbing the lotion in all the way. I didn't feel like the cost matched what you get in the slightest, but after all they provided a service and I'm not one to give you $0 for your time..so I paid and went on about my day. I just know I won't be back.

Great Spot for a Relaxing Pedi!…read more I was in town for a cruise, and the hotel recommended T&K Nails for a pedicure. I'm so glad they did! The experience was fantastic. The salon was clean and didn't have the overpowering chemical smell you often find at other nail places, which made it so much more enjoyable. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the pedicure itself was excellent. The leg massage was so relaxing and definitely a highlight of the experience. If you're in the area and need a great place to pamper yourself, I'd definitely recommend stopping by T&K Nails. Lovely people and a wonderful experience.

Unsanitary & poor quality. I hate leaving negative reviews,…read morebut I don't want anyone else to go through the unsafe & unsanitary experience I did. #1: Don't double dip the wax stick!!! When you consistently use the same stick to wax an area and then dip it back into the wax pot, you can transfer bacteria & disease into the wax that will continue to live as it is a warm environment. This it is possible to transfer herpes from someone getting a bikini wax onto someone's lip from using the same contaminated wax pot. The solution: use a new wax stick each time you dip into the wax pot! No cross contamination!! (And yes, I got off the table with only half a lip wax). #2: Cutting open skin while getting a pedicure. Ok, it can happen, but clean it & disinfect it when it does. Don't continue to pour chemicals (callous remover, exfoliating scrub, lotion) into the open wound! It burns & hurts & again, can lead to infection! All of this is assuming the instruments used during the pedicure were sanitary to begin with. In hindsight, I would have happily paid double the price, somewhere else (and I will next time), to avoid the discomfort, pain, and exposure to bacteria & infection due to sloppy practices. The thing that caught me the most off guard - they all seemed like it was no big deal or concern. Scary!! Someone could get very sick or worse because of their practices and conduct. If you don't know how to properly protect your clients from infection, bacteria, or unsanitary conditions, you need to further educate your team. Beware if you come here - keep your eyes open and stop services before you end up sick or hurt!

** REVIEW ONLY FOR EYEBROW THREADING **…read more I have major anxiety when trying out a new eyebrow location, but my usual go-to lady is out of town for a few months and couldn't wait much longer with crazy eyebrows. I did some research on yelp and stumbled upon Yodi's. The reviews were decent and the price is crazy affordable ($12?!?!) so I gave them a call. The receptionist let me know that I can either make an appointment or just walk in whenever I'd like and that all the artists were great at what they do. I passed by the following Saturday and was instantly seated down with Shano Khan. I told her I was letting my eyebrows grow as the last lady I trialed made them wayyy too thin, and that I would like to keep them on the thicker side. She agreed and went to work. They turned out beyond AMAZING. I got so many compliments the following week and I was so excited to find someone who understood the look I wanted and at such an affordable price. I've been paying upwards of $30-$35 dollars for both waxing or threading. For $12 plus a generous tip, I'm still well under. I've definitely found my new go-to eyebrow artist and I couldn't be more excited. The location itself isn't the greatest, both regarding parking and aesthetics. But it gets the job done. Last time I went, there was a wait for Shano, guessing she's a fan favorite and I can see why, but usually you'll be in and out in 15 minutes, especially with an appointment.

Bia, a nice lady from Brazil, immediately scheduled me for a waxing/sugaring. Gisela, a nice lady from Venezuela, did my waxing/sugaring and left me with smooth and silky skin. I am grateful! I also inquired about the coffee body scrub I saw displayed in the waxing/sugaring room. Gisela kindly explained to me that one should first shower with soap before applying the moisturizing and exfoliating scrub. I am glad she explained that to me since, all these years, I have been using scrub before showering with soap and have been losing the full moisturizing benefits of the scrub. Moreover, Bia, gave me great first time customer discounts on my waxing/sugaring and informed me of a membership program whereby I would pay an initiation fee of $9.99, $45 a month to get a full bikini wax and 10% off of any additional waxing/sugaring services. I found out too that they also offer laser hair removal services as well as hydra facials, microdermabrasion and various natural facial peels. I will definitely be back for more waxing/sugaring services. I came back to have my facial hair waxed. Nicole, a young American girl shaped/tidied my eyebrows and waxed the hair on my upper lip and chin. She carefully and skillfully removed ingrown hairs that could not come out with the wax with assorted tweezers. She recommended that I buy and use a roll-on serum they sell to exfoliate skin and prevent ingrown hairs if used 3 times a week. I did. I just went for the third time to Nature Hair Removal & Skin Care. Gisela gave me a full body wax and I feel like a new woman with smooth and silky skin! Also, following her advice to exfoliate with the coffee body scrub has had great results, I have fewer ingrown hairs, my skin is easier to wax and my skin is also smoother!

I discovered the salon randomly when I used to work in the area. I no longer work nearby, but I still make the drive from Fort Lauderdale because Lorena is that good.
