Huge portions, many choices, good coffee, always busy thus loud, good service. I wish one could put in a name to their wait list on Yelp like you can at Brunch Cafe. read more

Excellent food, no matter what you order. A little pricey though. They now have an app that shows your place in line and will page you. That's a nice add on. read more

Best breakfast and lunch place in the area hands down. I have tried nearly everything on the menu over the past year and am hard pressed to think of anything I didn't like. Favorite is the biscuits and gravy but I'm biased. Always busy so be prepared to wait. read more

I marked it down due to them only having the small square deep fried potatoes, not hash browns. Everything else was okay.

We have been here on multiple occasions, all of varying sizes, events, and times of year and are never disappointed. This past time we actually came to celebrate my birthday; so this birthday breakfast was a fairly larger than your average weekend get together. There was about 12 of us, which is including a new born and a toddler. We decided to come slightly earlier than what we knew would be a rush on a Sunday morning so we planned for 9 am. To our surprise they were able to set us up a table and have it all ready in less than 5-10 minutes. We were expecting to have to wait a half an hour or so. So that was unexpectedly pleasant. Lexi took care of us and she was amazing. With a larger group things can become overwhelming but she was so fun and outgoing and exceptionally good at her job. My biggest tip that I can share about Syrup is to never underestimate their portions. They are massive. Trust me. However, if you're like me you still order the regular size over the half plate and save the rest for later. Because their chicken is: *chefs kiss.* Next big tip is you have to put the house made sweet cream syrup on everything. Pancakes, waffles, crepes, French toast, eggs, bagel with nova, salad, literally everything. It's just that good. If they bottled and sold it, I'd be drinking it through a straw. I cannot recommend this place more. Their staff is great, the food always comes out hot, fast, and delicious, and you are always going to leave completely satisfied. read more

Service was great! My food was okay but my boyfriends meal was absolutely amazing! Would definitely go back!

This is me and my friends go to breakfast / brunch spot! We swear by Syrup. Food is always a hit, the hot coffee is always good. Service is great, servers are personable and kind. The legendary breakfast is my go to but the chilaquiles and the biscuits with gravy are super delicious. Syrup is a great place for good food and good vibes. read more

I loved this place. We went for brunch on a Sunday and surprisingly we didn't behave to wait 2 hours like many other please. Staff was extremely friendly. I grabbed a Bloody Mary while we were waiting for our table and it was excellent. Everyone in the menu was good. The million dollar bacon is a MUST! I have family coming in from California and I'm going to take them there. read more

Everytime we've had anyone visit we've gone here and everything has been great! We've been in ourselves a few times and only had a couple issues with take out. They are definitely on the more expensive side for breakfast and brunch but worth it when you dine in. read more

Look NO Further! We were visiting from out of town and found this GEM! They have savory, sweet, everything you need. As soon as you walk in the ambiance is amazing and I am so pleased with my entire experience. The service was fast, the food is SO fresh and everything was delicious! read more

Came back here with out of town guests. 20 minutes wait for a table but that's normal here at this restaurant. They liked the food a lot. Service was good. read more

Alicia, our server has been amazing everytime me and my girlfriend have come! Shes been super helpful and super cheerful that made our experience a wonderful time with her positive energy and excellent sense of customer service, each and every time. Syrup is our favorite breakfast spot, but alicia makes it extra special for us! Thank you Alicia! I've asked her to surprise me with whatever on the menu (I'm not a picky eater) and I always leave happy and satisfied! read more

Portions and selections are great. Our server last Sunday was okay excellent. Pancakes were some of the best I have had. Next time I will be getting the Maui pancakes. We will be back. read more

This is our favorite breakfast place! We usually go on saturday or sunday mornings. Get there early or there might be a wait! The banana bread french toast is something sent from heaven. I am a big banana fan though. I usually get the breakfast sliders as my meal. They come with a bacon jam - duh. Our server last time was so great. She brought me hot water to warm up a bottle for my baby which I really appreciated. Cant wait to go back! read more

Huge portions and the food is amazing. The servers are always friendly and always greet you with a smile.

Amazing breakfast spot! (They serve lunch too.) Our food was amazing. Our waitress, Tansy, was fantastic!! They were quick on seating and service. The vibe is very fun and chill. Highly recommend, great experience. read more

Excellent food! I haven't had anything here that I didn't like! My husband think they have the best eggs Benedict in town. We have always had excellent service and the owner always comes around to talk and find out about our meal. It is newly renovated and everything looks great and is super clean! Even the bathrooms. read more

To keep it simple....YUM!! 2nd time at the restaurant, and it was better than the first! The inside is very clean and the staff are very attentive. I was very impressed to learn they have a digital menu available that you can view on your phone, and also you can do digital payment too! These days, "contactless" options are good to offer to customers. Onto the food....! I really like their unique menu. We tried a variety of items we've never had before. Mini Waffle Flight was fantastic! Great way to try all their different waffles at once, without committing to a full order. Kimmie's Favorite was a real treat! Never had buratta before. Creamy, sweet, crunchy...all in one bite! Nashville Hot was a first for me. Bringin' the heat!! If you like spicy hot, this will push your palette to the limit, but not over the limit. Order a side of ranch to help cool things down, you'll thank me later. My favorite plate today had to be the Cinnamon Roll (pancakes)! Light and fluffy, but slightly sticky and crunchy, sweet....OMG! I'm thinking to head back without my brother and sister just to order a stack or two for myself! YUM!! Check out my photos to see what the family ordered, or you could just go there and find out for yourself! read more

SYRUP - Algonquin - HUGE Portions!!! YUMM! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Algonquin, Illinois

We had a fantastic meal here. The breakfast was very hearty and the portion was large enough to take half home. Everything on the plate was well balanced and the flavors complimented each other well. I found the menu a bit overwhelming at first, but you quickly realize it's the same core items repackaged differently to accommodate different tastes and preferences. Our server, Tawny, was phenomenal. She was so knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients and restaurant. The ownership should be proud and confident knowing someone like her is caring for guests. I felt so informed about what I was having and she helped ensure everyone got something that they would enjoy. Serving is a hard job and she made it look effortless. I highly recommend trying dishes with their fried chicken and trying the homemade syrup (it has to be good at a place named syrup, right?). Feel free to be adventurous in chosing something to eat. You won't regret it. read more

Finally able to have breakfast here. Never liked the idea of having to wait so long for breakfast on the weekends. But the moment we sat down, we were greeted by our server, Julia, who was so cheerful and energetic. Everything we pointed to on the menu - she had tidbits of info that intrigued our appetite. Everything we ordered was cooked and seasoned perfectly and could compete with any 5 star restaurant. And the portions were HUGE! We will definitely return and we will definitely ask for Julia's section - as she is the MAIN REASON for our future visits. read more

What an amazing Father's Day I had at SYRUP this morning! The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the waffle flight as a breakfast appetizer. Sounds funny, but you'll understand when you try them. The level of attentiveness by the staff and management during our visit was unparalleled. I now understand why there is a wait and it is well worth it. Highly recommend! read more

always come here for breakfast but as of recent service has gone down, not very nice host who gave us a look when getting our menus, server looks like he doesn't wanna be here, i know these people are here to just take our orders but you don't have to be rude. food is great! just hoping for better service next time read more

Do yourself a favor and just go. Marco our server was amazing. The food came out hot and quick! Marco helped us locate the drinks on the menu.. everything from water to a Bloody Mary. The water was refilled and he checked on us but not too much. Very friendly. The decor is great and it's always clean and well lit. 5 stars because of Marco or this is a 4 star review. read more

Best pumpkin pancakes I think that I have ever eaten. Stopped by Syrup after a doctor's appointment in the same location. Did not disappoint. The server Tansy was awesome; she walked me through the menu and I found a multitude of selections I would love. Then she mentioned the pumpkin pancakes, and all bets were off. I had to get them. read more

Stopped in for breakfast while dogs was at groomer. Ordered Mile High Omelette - looked beautiful when it arrived but nice I cut into center, it was RAW.....5 eggs is a bit much, should be 3 or 4. If you want to sub potatoes for fruit, it's $2.00 extra. Extremely over priced. Staff however is very nice read more

Great food here, the decor or feels a little sterile. I keep having the same order raspberry marscaspone pancakes. They are topped with a wonderful lemon curd! The service as very good when I've been there. Looks really busy on weekends, so I like to go during the week. read more

Went here on a Sunday morning and arrived just in time to get a table without waiting. The line for tables grew quickly in the next half hour. For those that were waiting, I believe the wait proved worthwhile. The food was delicious, and plentiful! and the service was wonderful. The menu is full of surprises; it was hard to choose. My daughter had the Toffana, a banana loaded pancake dish with chocolate and heath bits that was just the thing for her. I had the Chilaquiles, a Mexican tortilla chips dish with chorizo and avocado, and 2 eggs, with sides of beans and potatoes, delicious, spicy, and very filling. This is one of those amazing restaurants that you cannot wait to go back to visit again. Here are my tips. Get the Billion Dollar Bacon. It is unbelievable. Trendiest place around. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our Friday lunch at SYRUP. We arrived around 1:30pm and were seated promptly. Most tables inside were full and many outside. Our service was fantastic and the food was delicious. My Blueberry Basil Limeade was so good and refreshing. I want to try the Mint Limeade next time. Love the Apricot Chicken Panini! Stopped in on their first day open and what a pleasant surprise! The remodeled interior is super trendy and is on par with other high-end breakfast/lunch places I've been. The menu is top notch and has great variety of premium offerings using high quality ingredients. I went with the savory Nova Smoked Salmon Benedict along with a really neat waffle "Flight" sampler platter comprised of four mini waffles topped with various tasty concoctions. The fresh squeezed lime-aid topped it off. Check Syrup out, you won't be disappointed! read more
