Food is amazing with quality ingredients and loads of options, drinks as well. Service is solid and friendly. Ambiance is great too, upscale but not too nice, and clean but cozy. read more

Awesome service, awesome food, an all around great spot. Stayed at the HD Inn for a wedding and lucky for us this place was literally a stones throw away. Everything on the menu looked great and if I lived closer I'd definitely come back and try different items. We decided on a skillet and the waffle flight w/ some signature beverages. All I can say is yummmmm. Eat here! read more

SYRUP - Algonquin - Skillet, pancakes, bacon & eggs, & waffle flight. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Algonquin, Illinois

Great food and great service give the conditions. The omelette I had and the waffle flight my son had were delicious. The only thing I see for an area of improvement is... tables were getting wiped down but not chairs and benches. Not so much for COVID sake, but get the food off. I stopped a woman from sitting down on powered sugar and crayon pieces from the guests prior by us. read more

The area around eatatSYRUP has no shortage of breakfast restaurants and although initially intriguing, 'elevated' anything in this area is usually a stretch. So after an initial moderate star open (mostly service) I was hesitant to try a new place especially since big breakfast isn't usually at the top of my list. This week it so happened that I was at eatatSYRUP both Saturday and Sunday morning. Saturday was in the tent with just two of us dining but Sunday was the whole family. To start, I like the decor inside as it's two or three steps above other places around the area. Even the menu design appeals to the modern farmhouse style and is reminiscent of a popular place in Geneva. On Sunday we had a 30m wait and upon checking in, received a text confirmation with website link that showed our place in line, 17th. We took the 30m and Home Depot as the website updated automatically, no refreshing. I had also set a 30m timer on my phone and we were seated before the timer ended. The menu is elevated and has several food and service options. I like that in some cases you can order a smaller portion of a meal, also their side options give you a very customizable experience. Other features include a good coffee bar with cold brew, nice boozy drink options, a waffle flight, special bacon, sandwiches with a twist, standard plates plus elevated versions like their chicken & waffles or potato pancakes. To their name, they offer 5 different types of syrup with their standard option being insanely delicious, it's a mix of salty and sweet by the addition of some dairy. My daughter ordered the loaded potato pancakes and ended up not liking them, although everyone else thought they were great. Our server was filling water and heard this, quickly sending over the manager who offered/insisted on replacing her meal which quickly arrived. On Saturday our service was fine with no issues but Sunday gave that extra level. So, give eatatSYRUP a shot as it's worth your time. Good value with large portions (even the small options!), nice menu with some unique dishes, plus well executed service and food. Tips: Chicken Fried Chicken, Sweet Cream Syrup, house potatoes. read more

A very cool new place to dine in for amazing lunch and breakfast foods. Taking into consideration that Syrup is very new and very busy, the wait time to be both seated and for our food to come was quick. Coffees were pretty expensive for what they were, but the food was a solid price and good quantities. The menu has a very wide range. We will be coming back! read more

I finally came in last week with my niece after hearing many good reviews about this place! Eat at Syrup is a great place with a wonderful coffee bar! Their cappuccino is so delicious. Thanks to my server's recommendation of adding vanilla, my niece loved it! I ordered a chicken and waffles and my niece had the mini waffles fight. The place looked very clean and the food presentation was excellent. I went to the front to pay and an elderly woman demanded me to go back to my table so that my server can take care of my payment. Well, while waiting to be seated at the front, the same woman was taking payments for take out orders. I thought it was inconvenient and my server came up to me and apologized for not taking my payment right away. Payments are taken by server's, but hopefully next time, she would've taken care of my check rather than bothering my server on a busy Sunday! Eat at syrup deserve five stars because I had the best chicken and waffles! read more

Absolutely amazing!!! Will have to go back and eat our way through the menu. They put such a great spin on classic breakfast foods. The mimosas are made with fresh juice and to die for! The owner came out and greeted every table. Service was top notch. It was well worth the 40min wait. By far one of the best meals I've ever had. read more

The food here is outstanding! We ordered a sampler of waffles - cinnamon crunch topped with fresh bananas, a raspberry mascarpone waffle, a bacon something (when paired with their amazing bacon, you forget the rest, and a Hawaiian waffle. Their syrups are homemade and they're amazing! Then, my friend had a breakfast skillet and I ordered a BLT that was also topped with a pesto aioli and a fried egg. Amazing. Service was exceptional! My bad for waiting to eat at noon since we had to wait a bit, but the wait is worth it!! I want to eat there daily! Or grow another stomach! read more

Delicious high end breakfast in a relaxing atmosphere! The food here was excellent with generous portions. I had biscuits and gravy, which came in a skillet with two of the biggest biscuits ever! Rest of the family had an omelette, cinnamon bun pancakes and French toast, all of which were decadent and delicious. We also received excellent service from our waitress Alicia, who took her time to go over the menu with us, and made us feel welcome. When we go back we would certainly request her section to receive such stellar service again! Well done! read more
