It was recommended as a good me as a good, local breakfast spot. I liked the menu. It had plenty of breakfast items. I found the portions a good size. The coffee good and the food good. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. Those biscuits tasted great. The Parisian Crepes tasted great. I loved those home fries. They were well seasoned and tasted great. It was a small cafe. It had an outdoor sitting area. Inside is small. They have the specials posted on a wall. The kitchen was an open kitchen. You can see them preparing things. That was cool. The food service was fast. The Cafe is towards the east side of a strip mall with plenty of parking around. I had not problems finding it. The place does get busy.

I have shared a review of this place before but it deserves a second one! This is the best cafe there is at The Cove plaza. Their food is amazing, super fresh, the staff is very friendly and I love sitting outside and people watching. It's a must come when at The Cove plaza!

Great breakfast spot! We were docked at the Marina for a few days and ate breakfast here for most of them. The food was tasty, quickly prepared, nice size portions, and the service was fantastic. I loved that we could dine outside and enjoy the weather. Definitely recommend for a good breakfast.

Along with other good restaurants and shops located in the Cove shopping center in Deerfield Beach, I found the food at Sylvia's Cafe quite good with a large selection to choose from, including crepes. The inside and outside tables, clean and seasonally decorated interior were all appreciated. The service, however wasn't the best as the hostess and the waiters weren't too cheery. Since this was a first visit, I'd like to think it was a one-time thing. Other than that, Sylvains is a good breakfast cafe that's worth trying.

Service: like you're eating at home. Food comes out super fast. Crab Cake Eggs Benedict: *Disclaimer: We ordered with fried hard eggs, not the typical poached. The crab cake was fantastic. We scooped up the hollandaise sauce with the bread. And for $14.99? Great price for a great dish. Would order this again! Philly Cheese Steak Omelette: Good. I could have used more cheese, but my husband thought it was phenomenal. He even reheated the rest of it & devoured it when we got home. I personally would not order it again, with the other amazing items on the menu. HomeFries: I did not like these at all. They were too squishy and tomatoey and had an odd spice mix on top of them. I am used to home fries being fried on the outside and soft on the inside. Hashbrowns: Delicious. Crispy on top and soft on the bottom. French Toast: Absolutely fluffy, with the perfect amount of powdered sugar. There was no fried egg on the toast, like some restaurants that use more egg than anything else. Would order this again! Grand Slam: Canadian ham, bacon, sausage, eggs, and home fries. Great ham slice. Great bacon. The bacon/sausage was not cooked to my grandmother's liking & the server had no issues taking it back to be fired up again. -Only con: I ordered a biscuit and it did not receive it. Funny enough, I did not even remember until I was on the highway driving home. We will be back! $50 for 3 people to eat a lovely Sunday brunch.

Such a cute little diner. Absolutely amazing French toast. Slice of old school Americana in every bite here. It's small and gets busy so be willing to wait, but rest assured the wait is worth it. In the words of the Terminator. "I'll be back".

I was looking for a home-y style / diner feel for breakfast and stumbled across this place. It's small but we were lucky to come at the right time and snag up one of the last tables before a wait started. Our waitress was super nice!! She kept our coffees filled and checked on us. I ordered the eggs with bacon breakfast and it come with 2 other choices - I got hash browns and sour dough bread. Also, ordered a side of corned beef hash to share (it was a good portion). My eggs were cooked how I'd asked. Everything came out quickly and it was a good price. I love a good mom & pop place!!

A long wait for food. Server forgot about us. Let's see if the food is worth it when it finally comes out.

You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients, and everything always tastes fresh and well put together. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. I usually get the Arthur Ave, it comes with prosciutto, stracciatella, arugula, and sundried peppers. I like to add pesto, which really takes it to the next level. My boyfriend can't have cheese, so he orders the Arthur Ave without it and swaps in lettuce for the arugula. He also adds tomato, pickle, and onion, and loves it every time. We've also tried other sandwiches like the buto cutlet, Boar's Head ham sandwich, bresaola, BLT, and more, everything has been consistently good. We especially love their fresh focaccia bread. It's soft, flavorful, and really makes the sandwiches stand out. It's definitely our go-to choice for any sandwich there. If you go later in the day, sometimes they are out so keep that in mind. We feel lucky to have this spot right around the corner from us. It's one of our regular go tos, whether we want something quick or just a really good sandwich. We'll definitely keep coming back and recommending it to others!

It transports you to an Italian NY deli. The place is packed, bustling spot and that alone tells you everything you need to know. You know it's good when you walk in and the place is packed. We split the Chicken Cutlet Florentine and it was absolutely incredible. Heads up: the full size is massive, so splitting it is definitely the move and still totally worth it!! The service was super friendly despite how busy it was. I had my eye on the black & white cookie too because what's an authentic Italian deli without one? Sounds like my next visit to Boca includes trying more stuff!

The sandwich itself was good, made with quality ingredients and solid flavor overall. The bread and fillings were fresh, and you can tell they care about what they're serving. One small detail: I wasn't offered any sauce suggestions, and because of that, my sandwich ended up feeling a bit dry. I think a simple recommendation from the staff would've elevated the experience. Still, it was tasty and reasonably priced. The place is small, but it gets the job done -- very much a neighborhood deli vibe. Overall, a good, no-frills sandwich spot worth trying, especially if you're already in the area.

I was driving down Glades Road on a rainy Sunday around 10:45 am. Decided to pull over into this…read moreshopping center to see what was open until the rain let up (which it didn't). Laspada had a lit up sign in the window saying they're "open." I seem to recall Next Door Boca giving them decent reviews. I am a native of Philly, hometown of the hoagie. I thought I'd give this place a try. I ran from my car through the rain and tugged on the door....locked. The door hours say open at 11! So much for the lit "open" sign. They have outdoor metal tables and chairs under an awning. I sat at an outdoor table for ten minutes. I looked through the storefront window at a couple employees prepping and I read the wall menu. A guy unlocked the place at 11. I let a young family and several other guys go ahead of me. Guy at the slicing wheel waited on me. I ordered a small Mama Lastrada turkey & salami on wheat. There's about a half dozen employees behind the counter dealing with the assembly line of customers and sandwiches. Guy at the slicing wheel tells me one of the other guys will work on my sandwich. Okay. However, I can't move down the line because there's customers still lined up ahead of me waiting for their food. Slicing wheel guy looks up at me a minute later and asks what he can get for me. I look back at him waiting for him to recognize me from a minute ago when he already had sliced my order. No recognition! I repeated my order to him. Now he remembers me! He again refers me to one of his junior sandwich prep guys. I overheard him telling a busy junior guy, "This is just a small Mama on wheat" or something like that. Still, I can't go down the line because there's guy ahead of me had placed an order for 3 sandwiches. I swear to you that the slicing wheel guy asks me for a THIRD time for my order! By this time, I felt like I was in a Monty Python sketch. I repeated my order. Again, he refers me to a third junior associate (Manny, Moe, and Jack)? Finally, a young associate asked me for toppings. I had noticed two lettuce bins. One bin looked fine. The other looked a little brown. I decided to skip the lettuce rather than ask him to pick from the left hand bin and embarrass them. I also saw a black speck in the onion bin. It probably was nothing but I decided to skip onions just to be safe. I chose tomatoes, Swiss cheese, pickles and sweet peppers. The debit card reader asks if I want to tip. I skipped that. Price was reasonable. Hoagie was okay. The roll was soggy. Philly hoagie shops pride themselves on their rolls. I understand this is Florida, not Philly. I can appreciate this place is popular and busy. However, being asked for my order 3 times by the same experienced worker there left me feeling less than special as a customer.

We came here with friends and I'll give credit where it's due. The beach view is spectacular. The kind of view that makes you forget your phone exists for a minute. Ocean, breeze, the whole postcard situation. Absolutely nails it. And then the food shows up... and things take a turn. I went with the blackened fish sandwich. Cooked properly, no complaints there. But flavor? It felt like it forgot to show up for work. Just kind of... there. Unfortunately, that wasn't even the low point. My wife went with the fish tacos and called them straight up terrible. Not "meh." Not "could be better." Terrible. And that pretty much set the tone for the table. So now we're not talking mid anymore. We're talking mid-to-poor across the board when it comes to food. This is still a great spot to sit, relax, and enjoy a drink while staring at the ocean and pretending you didn't come here hungry. If you're coming for the food, just know you're here for the view that happens to serve meals, not the other way around. Pro tip: only do the outdoor seating. The view is the whole reason you came here. Inside, you're just eating disappointing food without the ocean doing heavy lifting. Two stars. The view is doing everything it can, but it can't season the fish.
