You can definitely share and get a salad if you want. We started with Bees Knees drinks. They were super fresh and well made. Dinner at SWeL was the best part of our visit to Seattle! The ambiance is so peaceful, and we felt like we were having dinner with family. We sat outside on their back deck. One of the owners, Ted, was our server, and we couldn't have asked for a better host. He treated us as if we were long lost friends. We started with the Caprese salad. I had the pizza--some of the best crust ever--and my husband had the mushroom pasta. We ate every crumb. This place is pretty good. I went here for a date and it was definitely the right ambiance for it. The area is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the lighting is dim. I ordered some wine, pizza, scallops, and a goat cheese salad. Keep in mind the scallops are more of a cheese dish that is melted with scallops. I thought it was going to be more of pieces of scallops with some cheese on them. The food as a whole was pretty good, I'd give it a 4/5... nothing that was a must have again. Our waiter was nice and also accommodating with our orders. Everything was great! Currently am gearing up for a bodybuilding competition so wasn't able to try everything I wanted (plus this was only a snack before my next meal). I ordered salad with salmon and an espresso. My friend had salad with salmon too, tomato bruschetta, pear bread budding, and an americano. It was perfect for 2 of us since the happy hour pizza's aren't too big. The server was very nice and answered all the questions we had. My favorite was the oven fired scallops. It came with a side of sliced baguette and it was the perfect pair to the scallops. Be careful! It's really hot! Calamari: It was surprisingly big and the lime juice on top and arugula on bottom. It wasn't just a plain plate of calamari. Pizzas: We preferred the prosciutto over the pepperoni but both were still delicious. The prosciutto pizza had a slight sweetness that we enjoyed. Came in for a work lunch and chose the sandwich that had the Italian meats in it. So worth it. The bread is so crisp yet easy to bite into. They love their serranos here and it's very welcome. Sometimes I get over-zealous and give out a 5-star when in reality it should be a 3 or 4-star review. I'll give SWeL 5 red stars because the service was excellent and the food matched. My guy and I try to visit one or two new places every couple of weeks and SWeL was one of two new places we tried on our Happy Hour hit list. We were greeted at the door and seated promptly. Our server was great and she answered all our questions and gave great recommendations. We each drank Boneyard Double IPA pints and ate individual HH caesar salads. Sharing a HH pepperoni pizza was perfect for us; we each got to enjoy 3 pieces. The dough is prepared hand-tossed and stretched out, so it's a rustic presentation. Honestly, one of the best restaurants in Seattle - from service, food to just overall atmosphere. My husband came in on a Saturday night after joining the waitlist on Yelp. When we got in, the hostess was super nice and seated us within a few minutes. Our server (I wish I remembered his name) was very friendly and answered any questions we had. He helped choose an awesome red wine that paired well with the pork chop dish. The cocktail he made for my husband was also delicious (it had basil in it), and I'm not typically a cocktail person! Now the food. We ordered the calamari appetizer and it did not disappoint. To our surprise, it was spicy; but the heat was just right. What we like was that we could tell it was fresh and it wasn't so heavily breaded. In a lot of restaurants, often their calamari is breaded, greasy and you can tell it's frozen. The pork chop was just pure perfection! The chop was cooked so well - tender and juicy; and I was so in love with the Marsala sauce. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this, lol. Compliments to their chef who create that delicious sauce. My husband ordered the salmon and he too was happy with his dish. For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding and the chocolate chip cooking with ice cream. Now, while the cookie was good; I really enjoyed the bread pudding! It's funny, my husband and I were visiting NOLA a few months ago, and bread pudding is pretty much s staple there. We ate so much of it and I had doubts SWeL's would come close to being as good. A lot of people may disagree with me, but the bread pudding at SWeL's was the best bread pudding I've ever had! Where do I start? My husband and I were SO excited SWeL reopened last week! We quickly made a reservation for last weekend and y'all- the wait for this place to reopen was totally worth it! The food AND the drinks are SO amazing! My husband is going to be dreaming of your steak until our next reservation we ordered as much food as we could manage! I had to get the baked scallops- think crab dip but even better! It's creamy like a Mac n cheese too but instead of the lemon with the crab it's a hint of lime! Let me start by saying the ambiance of the restaurant was so cozy and romantic. Definitely a good date spot. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted and that's always a big plus for me. Everyone was super friendly and you can tell everyone there works as a team. We were sat and immediately ordered a bottle of malbec, which was in my opinion a bargain, only $44 for the bottle. We also ordered 12 oysters and a Ceasar salad to share. Let me tell you....order more oysters because you will not want to share and yes, also order your own Ceasar because again you won't want to share haha. Oysters had great flavor, not too fishy and had more of a cucumber type of aroma in my opinion. Ceasar salad was so fresh! For entrees we ordered the salmon and rosemary chicken, both phenomenal. My husband finished his meal in 2 seconds so it was clearly delicious, I managed to get a few bites of his and the combination of black bean puree and salmon is not something I would have ever thought to put together but it sure does work in all the best ways. My chicken dish was paired with mashed potatoes and carrots. Perfectly salted carrots and cmon I'll order anything that comes with mashed potatoes. Chicken was cooked beautifully, juicy and had a crimini sauce that complemented it well. My friend and I were in the mood for something light so...we obviously landed on wood fire pizza! :) We were seated right away and the service throughout dinner was great. I got the pepperoni pizza and my friend got the Italian sausage. We both had a few glasses of wine (hey, what's pizza without wine, am I right?) and split the flourless mousse at the end. The food was really excellent - the pizza was cooked perfectly with a thin crispy crust with just enough sauce and toppings to leave us satisfied but not overly full! The mousse was smooth and rich but also surprisingly light. The space inside is super cute. Other reviews mentioned it was too dark but I thought the ambience was good and it's beautifully decorated. It would be a great place for a romantic dinner, but it's also great for groups (they had sports on the big TV near the bar). But the food is why you come here. We did the penn cove mussels, which has the most amazing sauce. Seriously, we ordered an extra baguette just to give slurping that addictive garlic, lemon, goodness sauce. We also had the baked scallops which was a very decadent, cheesy appetizer. And the pizzas are fantastic. We did the smoked mozzarella, which is kind of the equivalent of a BBQ chicken, because the sauce is sweet, it has pancetta (instead of chicken) and red onions. But the smoked mozzarella has such a great flavor. But the crust makes it unbelievable. Just the right combo of salt and softness and crispness. And we loved the friendly service. My first night in Fremont I wasn't sure where to go. The menu for this place wasn't too compelling but the high Yelp rating encouraged me to try it out. And I'm so glad I did! The dining room was a little dark for my preference but I did create a somewhat romantic atmosphere. Since I was dining solo I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. I was somewhat impressed with the kinda of wines they have available and based on yelp menu photos it seems as though they change their selection from time to time. I had the Domaine Daulny Sancerre and it was excellent. I had never actually tried a Sancerre before and was very pleased. The finish so elegantly lifted off the palate and I fell in love. I wanted to try the scallops appetizer but unfortunately they were out of it. I was disappointed and starting to regret my decision to come. I instead ordered the pear and gargonzola pizza. OMG. It was fantastic. Though the portion size was quite small the flavor made up for it BIG TIME (and also left me room for a post dinner ice cream- I'm not complaining). The pears in the pizza, which I expected to be crunchy, were melt-in-your-mouth soft. The cheese was present, adding flavor but not detectable as distinct bites of cheese. It was the perfect flavor complement. There was also butter or something mixed in there making some bites oh so elegant. My mouth exploded of happiness. This was potentially the best pizza I've ever had in my life. The amount of food you get for the price is a little lacking but the flavor certainly makes up for it. I wish I had more time in the area so I could go back and try some of their other pizzas and dishes. 5 stars well deserved. read more

We also ordered drinks, a basil gimlet for me (gin, basil, lime, it was SO GOOD) and a mezcal jalapeno margarita for Mike (they made it extra spicy for him which was great). Once we were seated at our table, we ordered the chopped salami salad (salami, provolone, garbanzo beans, tomato, red onions, iceberg lettuce + red leaf, small ribbons of kale, plus a creamy tarragon vinaigrette that was just delicious), the Italian sausage pizza (I think I was drunk I don't even like sausage pizza why did I order this? But this one was very good), plus the mushroom pasta (fresh tagliatelle with shiitake, oyster and crimini mushrooms plus a white wine sauce, probably the best thing). Overall the food was awesome. Staff: Super friendly! We had a reservation, but when we arrived the place was packed and the table before us was taking longer than expected, so we sat at the bar for a while. I can't say enough good things about this place! I used to live in the area as of last year and this is my favorite restaurant in Fremont. My husband and I are happy to make the drive from Shoreline to have date night or meet friends for dinner here anytime. A couple weeks ago, we had our courthouse wedding in downtown Seattle before heading out to our destination wedding. We decided we still wanted to celebrate so we made a reservation for us and a few friends here. Everything was wonderful. The service was impeccable, the food absolutely delicious, the ambiance was perfect, and they even gifted us a bottle of champagne for the table...unbelievable!
