I ordered online to pick up. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg and turkey on an everything bagel, a cold brew with a splash of almond milk, and a double shot of espresso. The order was ready when I arrived, but I cannot speak on the service because there was no employee anywhere to be found. Maybe this is more of a place for sugary customizable options, but plain cold brew and espresso lack any depth. The cold brew I received was very light and almost transparent. The bagel tasted freezer burnt and was just edible. The espresso was okay, but nothing exceptional for the premium espresso upgrade charge. Stopped in on a whim for coffee and breakfast sandwiches on a Sunday around 10am. The restaurant was empty. Our barista was friendly and put together our order quickly. I ordered a plain bagel with sausage, egg, and cheese. The bagels were in the display case and honestly looked a little sad, especially the everything one. It didn't have too much seasoning. The pastries looked ok, but weren't too tempting. The breakfast sandwiches were ordered were hot when ready and very fresh tasting. The coffees were so good! I had a cold brew with vanilla and a little cream. It was lightly sweet and plenty creamy. The interior of the cage was beautiful and they had a good bit of local art hanging on the walls for sale. Poorly managed location. Quality is always poor across the board for example, old watery parfaits sold to customers, coffee and milk are never proportionate, customer service isn't great. I've been to other locations before and the coffee always tastes completely different and better than this location. read more

This is a relaxing little cafe tucked away in the corner near chick fil a. There's some parking just outside but it can be difficult to find an empty spot. The wide varieties of drinks and food ranging from dessert to sandwich attracts quite a number of students. There's also many tables and chairs available and you can see people studying and reading inside as its quiet and relaxing. The decoration is also cool with murals and paintings(that are for sale I think). I tried the monster matcha and is delighted to see the beautiful layers of matcha and espresso. When mixed, the matcha flavor did not overpower the espresso and its not sweet at all. Will definitely be back to try some other cool drinks. read more

Located in the heart of campus, Sweetwater has quickly become a place to grab a cuppa midday with its cozy setting and its abundant outlets. I have tried most of their drinks and their mocha ice dragon is by far my favorite. They weren't joking when they crown their baristas ice dragon slayers! Their mocha icedragon is the perfect balance of caffeine and sweetness and it tastes more like a chocolate drink than coffee. But, you can still feel the kick of caffeine afterwards! Perfect for someone who might not enjoy the taste of coffee! The best part of this Cafe is the art! After visiting their other Columbus locations, I decided it was finally time to swing by this one close to home... right in the heart of OSU campus. While parking isn't abundant, both times I've come, I arrived early in the morning and have no trouble finding a spot right off the street with a meter. Now on to the space. I love it! It's big, has great natural light, plenty of seating, awesome art up on the walls, clean restrooms, and the electrical outlets are everywhere! They certainly know how to do a coffee shop on a college campus right! Pro tip: Sweetwater also has a frequent visitor program. Rack up those points and get you free coffee (don't mind if I do). I tend to stick with my favorite drink, the soy latte. However, I have gotten their bottled teas before. They do offer some breakfast/snack items like bagels and muffin and whatnot. If you're a student or a remote worker like myself, this is a great spot to study or work out of. Just set a reminder on your phone to add money to the meter! read more

It is such a convenience to have this coffee shop in this location. When met with unending construction work, it's nice to be able to get to a coffee shop with ease. Sweetwater Coffee and Tea shop is nestled into the Wellington complex along with its neighbors Target and Huntington Bank. I just happened to walk by and notice their signs were out and decided to work there instead of Starbucks. I was greeted with old friends and a BOGO deal that I couldn't pass up. The layout is very clean and the outlets all have USB ports which is a welcome sight in this day and age. So you can charge your phone, work on your computer and enjoy your drink in a chill atmosphere. What was awesome in this visit was that I was able to get my other drink after I finished my work. Sweetwaters is a hidden gem on the OSU campus! I've only had the coffee, but I've heard the other drinks and pastries are also delicious. I've had cold brews, lattes and mochas, and all have been great. My favorites have been the winter drinks, ie, Peppy Bark Mocha, Let It Snow Latte, and Minty Dreamy Cold Brew. One thing that stands out to me is the members perks- almost weekly there are discounted drinks, happy hours, and coupons, all it takes is downloading the app and making an account! Whether I'm staying to study or just getting a drink to go, Sweetwaters is a definite favorite. read more

I've been twice and first time got a cookie that was rock hard, and the second time got a croissant that was literally raw in the middle. When I bit into it, raw dough spilled out. Really loving this location. Its located on the 17th ave portion of the Wellington. There's metered parking and street parking nearby. It will be interesting to see how that goes once campus is back on and popping but for now I've gone 3 times and could always find a spot. The inside is awesome. Theres some good art on the walls and tons of seating. I wonder if they have wifi because if they do this will be a great study spot. The menu is very expansive. They have a ton of desserts and sweet treats. I could spend probably half an hour just looking and trying to decide. The toffee blondie was outrageously good. The drink menu is equally as large. They offer teas, coffees and more. I havent tried a ton of things yet but for now the hot ginger lemon tea is one of my favorites. I could definitely see myself ordering that on a cold winter day. But the nepali brew is just outstanding. I know it has ice cream in it so it's not the healthiest thing around but the flavor is unreal. I've heard their cold brew is amazing too. I just haven't gotten around to ordering that yet. I think this place will have great success on campus. I'd love to see them open up another one near Neil/king so it's a shorter walk for me. I'll definitely be a frequent flyer here. I highly reccomend checking it out if you haven't already. read more

This place is very mediocre. I can't imagine coming here again unless it's too busy at Starbucks or any other average campus area coffee shop. I ordered a latte and a slice of cheesecake. The latte tasted very watery and the cheesecake tasted like something I could have bought at Kroger for half the price. Unfortunately, the campus area is becoming a magnet for these boring, unimaginative corporate chains and this is just another one to add to the list. Yeah the service is fine and the coffee/food is forgettable, but it's also a bit pricey. This place either needs to lower their prices or differentiate themselves from the rest of the boring chains around campus.
