Easy access right by the parking lot. This is one of my favorite healthy spots. You never have to worry about the ingredients. They are all listed so you know exactly what farm everything comes from. Their new wraps are delicious, although I still really love the bowls. Earning points through the rewards app is great too!
I saved my rewards points for a free entree only to get this?! I was heading out of town for the Memorial Day weekend and wanted to stop by sweetgreen to redeem my points for a free entree, up to $18. Sweetgreen's app only mentions how many of your points would expire within 90 days, but doesn't give a more precise date. So like 60 days? 30 days? 2 days? I wanted to make sure I redeemed my hard-earned points before they would expire. This sweetgreen is located in Irvine Spectrum Center where the 5 meets the 405. Despite the ginormous amount of parking, I got so lucky when a car pulled out as I was trying to look for a spot nearby; otherwise, I probably would have had to park closer to Target instead. As soon as I came in, I was met by delivery and pickup shelves, and as I sidestepped to the right, I noticed the setup was more similar to the Torrance location than the Long Beach location. Since I'm more accustomed to the Long Beach location, I was expecting there to be kiosks, but there weren't any. AJ immediately came over to offer help, though it was a welcome that became unwelcome as he was quite condescending. I wasn't totally sure how I'd be able to redeem my points for a free entree in store, especially since I find that the sweetgreen app isn't as user-friendly compared to other restaurants' apps. AJ's response was simply "you can order online or in store." Uhh okay, thanks Captain Obvious, but I was asking how I can redeem my points for a reward in store. Making me look like an imbecile doesn't answer the question! AJ and Jordan were busy preparing entrees for a single customer and a party of two, respectively, in front of me. It took several minutes for Jordan to finally get to me, and that even included another employee going back and forth; I almost thought that employee would be the one to serve me, but I guess he was supposed to be in the back doing something else. During those several minutes of waiting, I had decided on a Miso Glazed Salmon plate, which is $17.25. However, I noticed their CYO section of the menu mentioning that toppings could be anywhere from 65 cents to $2.25. I tried looking around to see how to tell how much a particular topping would cost, but had no way to tell! So if you were to select 4 extra toppings to go with your entree, you could pay as much as $9 or as little as $2.60 extra. Big difference! When Jordan finally got around to servicing me, I told her I wanted the Miso Glazed Salmon protein plate, but also asked how I'd be able to tell how much an extra topping would cost. She did mention that the colder toppings were 65 cents, but the avocado was a counterexample as she mentioned it was one of the $2.25 toppings. Fortunately, it would already come with the salmon. Anyways, I saw that Jordan was about to add the white rice to the plate, but I stopped her and asked if I could switch that out with the quinoa since I'm trying to eat less white rice in my diet. She made that switch, no hassle, no problem. I then asked about the broccoli and corn, both of which were 65 cents. Between the two, I went with the broccoli, bringing my total to a dime less than $18. At the register, Jordan asked if I wanted the dressing on the side or mixed in. I preferred on the side. However, I had to scan my QR code several times before the transaction would finally go through. Afterwards, she asked if I'd like some sourdough bread, to which I couldn't say no. I also asked for a water cup, and she handed me one. I went towards the front door to get a fork, napkins, and some water from the water dispenser. Then, I sat at a table by the rear wall to enjoy my salmon plate. Or tried to, at least. I noticed there wasn't any kind of sauce in the plate despite sweetgreen offering up to 3. I could have went up to ask, but with how unwelcoming AJ was and how indifferent Jordan seemed, didn't feel comfortable to as more customers came in to place their orders. At least the ingredients tasted fresh, and I enjoyed them individually. However, without a sauce, I felt like I got deprived of what could have been a tasty meal. I did get kind of lucky with the salmon, even though I didn't taste much of the miso glaze. I noticed Jordan opening the salmon bin, and there were only two filets inside. After finishing my plate, I used one of the two restrooms they have in the rear. I had trouble with both the sink and the hand dryer not working in a timely manner that I almost thought I'd have to leave with soap on my hands! It took much longer than expected to finally wash my hands and leave. However, before I left, I looked at the menu and saw that the Miso Glazed Salmon would come with spicy cashew, which didn't sound like a sauce, but the sign showing the sauces indicated it was! I really did get shortchanged on the spicy cashew sauce! :( Now that I only have a few points left, I doubt I'll return to a sweetgreen soon, even the Long Beach one, after such a disappointing visit to this sweetgreen.
This place is a great option for a fast, healthy and delicious meal that leaves you feeling satisfied and not bloated. Each menu item highlights the calories and protein so you can be conscious of your macros. The ingredients are fresh and good quality. They have some premade bowls, or you can customize with a carb, protein, and toppings. The staff are very friendly and the interior is clean. They also have plenty of outdoor seating.

The place itself was big and spacious with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The portion sizes were generous, which made it feel worth the price. However, one downside was the lettuce quality and size. There were tons of brown pieces that I needed to filter through and pieces were cut fairly large making it hard to eat. Overall, the pricing felt reasonable for the amount of food but just which there were a little more attention to prep would have made the salad better.
Irvine finally has a Sweetgreen and I could not be happier! This location is clean, modern, and the staff is always so friendly and efficient. I have to rave about the Harvest Bowl -- hands down my favorite thing on the menu. The combination of warm wild rice, roasted sweet potatoes, apples, goat cheese, and that balsamic vinaigrette is just perfection. It's hearty, flavorful, and somehow manages to feel both healthy and indulgent at the same time. I can only eat half of this! Great proportions!

I had the peach & goat cheese summer salad (fresh, bright and so damn good) and my husband went with the garlic steak protein bowl 10/10, no notes. We even grabbed a few sides of roasted chicken for our pups, because why not? But the real star of the show? Dessert. Vanilla ice cream with olive oil + sea salt. Are you kitten me right meow?! Wowza! At first I thought, "no way..." but after one bite we were fighting over the spoon. Should've ordered two. For sure. Lesson learned. Only downside? They don't have one in Chula Vista yet. Please open one soon, I'd basically move in.
Sweetgreen's customer service is as uninspired as their food! An automated chat bot has told me to go to their website to log my compliant so that humans can do something about it. Swing and miss. Original Review: It's all hype. The experience doesn't match the marketing. The restaurant is dirty. The staff isn't trained. Patio dirty (deep dirty, not just had a crazy rush dirty). Inside the restaurant was dirty. The service line where they take your order was dirty. Zero hospitality from the staff (nobody was in charge). It wasn't worth it and the mess made me not trust the food. Was in at 6:30 on a Friday, so expected them to be staffed and ready. Not so. The greens and fresh veggies were good. The dressings are very tasty! Not worth the $$$... especially at the Spectrum.
My friend and I were looking for a healthy spot to eat and have some girl time and she recommended this place.She had gone to a different location not the Irvine one ..but she said she really liked it. Parking can be a struggle at the Irvine Spectrum but being a Monday at 4pm we were both able to find parking no problem. The place was pretty empty they have outside seating and some inside seating as well, I did notice that the tables outside looked like they needed to be wiped down. Customer service was just OK. The two guys that were working there one of them the one that helped me seem like he was just trying to get through his shift. I ended up ordering the Beef Mezxi bowl and just buy watching him put it together I was pretty unimpressed although the picture looks like it has a bigger portion. It's actually pretty small. Taste wise it was just Ok I've definitely had a lot better bowls at Chipotle. My friend who ordered at the same time as me was offered a piece of sourdough bread that they had in a container with a bunch of slices by the register ..my server did not offer me any bread, which is fine, but why didn't he offer me any??hmmm?? my friend ordered some type of chicken salad with tortilla chips and it looked super bland. She said it was OK. To drink I ordered a green drink that you serve yourself in one of those drink dispensers and it was like a ginger green drink, and it was also just ok for me. Overall, it was just an OK experience I think I expected more and it just did not check all the boxes and with so many other good food options at the Irvine Spectrum they need to step it up!
I've been here three times now and I sincerely enjoy their bowls. It's nice knowing that I can get a very healthy option for lunch or dinner and the ingredients are healthy and wholesome. They do have vegan choices as well, like tofu and mushrooms. The only point of contention I have is that when I placed my pick up order I got there a little early and I noticed that the person who was preparing the bowls placed the receipt, which had a list of everything that I ordered on it inside the bowl as she was making it. This is not a good thing to do since receipts contain printing ink, which is full of BPA. So I would highly suggest that they refrain from doing this in the future. Other than that, the restaurant itself is clean. The bathrooms were clean as well and the staff is friendly and nice. I do plan to return, but I hope that they will not put receipts inside of the bowl while making hot food. This is not a good idea.
Well this was an unexpected treat... @sweetgreen you lived up to the hype and more!!! On top of the fresh high quality ingredients and healthy options... Melissa who assisted me on making my own bowl was wonderful and went above and beyond!! Impressive dining and delicious
I'm an avid salad eater. I can literally eat it morning, noon, and night if left to my own vices. I was excited when Sweetgreens made their West Coast debut and now they are more readily available in SoCal to visit. It's the Chipotle style of service where you meet your Salad Angel (not their official title), but that's what I'm calling them and they ask you how they can make your day exceptional. My exceptional day at Sweetgreens is the Hummus Crunch Salad where I get to make so many substitutions that the old-timer Angels basically tell me I just made a Green Goddess salad (RIP from the OG menu) and yes, that's what I'm basically doing. The dressings are so tasty here, especially the green goddess dressing. I also cannot say no to the bread. Their miso salmon or blacken chicken are also the stand out proteins for me. Indoor and outdoor. Seating available. I have found that this location is a hit or miss with service. Sometimes the employees are great and sometimes they look so miserable, I wonder why they even show up to work. The Spectrum is a busy place in general but there is plenty of parking if you have patience during the busy times. Please visit and create your own experience.
Simple ordering online and I like how it comes with good sauces. The website shows exact macros breakdown which is neat. Good option when you want something nutritious. Plenty of seating outside. read more

I should have listened to the reviews as today was my first and last time going to SweetGreen. I ordered the ranchy chicken and rice to try it out for my first time. I just picked it up since I parked in curbside pick up and took it home. When I got home there was no chicken. So unacceptable. I talked to the chat and they refunded me my money and the reward I used. The girl said she added an extra credit on top of that, when I checked she didn't. Don't say you're going to give customers something for their bad experience and then don't. Just don't say anything at all. Such a disappointment, skip this place and listen to the reviews. read more

Irvine finally has a Sweetgreen and I could not be happier! This location is clean, modern, and the staff is always so friendly and efficient. Went back to Sweetgreen for an early lunch. This place always gets packed around noon, so I try to beat the rush by going a little earlier--it's just a way better experience when you're not stuck in a long line or waiting for a table. I ordered the Hummus Crunch salad, which was fresh and flavorful, and tried their new Ripple Fries for the first time. They're basically freshly cut potatoes, air-fried in avocado oil and seasoned with sea salt and herbs. Honestly, they were so good--crispy, herby, and kind of addicting in the best way. I could've easily eaten a second serving. Already planning to go back soon to try the Shroomami bowl. I've had my eye on it. Sweetgreen's definitely become one of my go-to spots for a quick, satisfying, and relatively clean meal. I just wished that they had more plant-based options. read more

SUCH DELICIOUS FOOD!!! I'm a huge veggie and salad guy and love that the food here has fairly large sized portions packed with plenty of flavor. I got something called the shroomami or something? I also got the focaccia and hummus. Oh my goodness am i in love. I am also a bread guy. Melissa and Chrystine were very pleasant and helpful with my first time ordering there. I also appreciate that the seating is away from the crowded parts of spectrum which let me enjoy my meal in a quieter atmosphere. Definitely gotta go back and try the other dishes and get more of that focaccia. read more

Apparently trendy salad place - every other person you see enter the doors is a young professional in fashionable business casual outfits paired with designer sunglasses. Ok - Sweetgreen, you got the looks but do you got the food? Well... honestly, it's ok. I got the Crispy Rice Salad and the chicken is chunks of thigh meat and a little chewy. Instead of crispy noodles, it's served with hard rice pellets, which is something new to me and something I can live without. What ever happened to just normal wontons and croutons? Service is friendly which is nice - it is just salad. but $18 bucks? Yeah - that's a fair place around here. read more

RAW CHICKEN** Went in today and ordered a wrap and bowl. When I sat down to eat my wrap I noticed the chicken inside was raw. I kindly told the employee (Markisha D) that the chicken was undercooked and she gave me instant attitude. She said "no it's not I cooked and temp checked it all". So I showed her the chicken and she didn't apologize once but kept just asking me what I wanted to do.. SHE should be the one apologizing and lettting me know how she'll resolve. The person who also made the food was the most unwelcoming, cold, robotic worker as well. The franchise owner should do a deep analysis on the employees if you want to last. read more

This was my first time trying Sweetgreen, and I decided to give it a go since they market their food as a healthier option--and it definitely is! I ordered the new Caramelized Garlic Steak Bowl, which sounded promising, but it kind of missed the mark. The steak was the biggest letdown. It didn't taste like steak at all--it had more of a gamey flavor, almost like lamb, and I couldn't really detect the caramelized garlic they promised. Luckily, the pesto sauce helped bring some flavor, but honestly, I wouldn't recommend paying extra for the steak. I have a feeling their other proteins might be better and would probably stick with those next time. That said, the rest of the bowl was solid. The broccoli, sweet potatoes, and raw tomatoes were all fresh, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned. I appreciated the generous portion of toppings, though they definitely go heavy on the rice--maybe a bit too much, but at least it made the bowl filling. read more

Came here on Mother's Day with my wife , had awful service from the worker here. Dude did not seem like he wanted to be here at all, there was only one person in line before us too. Not kind when asking what we wanted in our bowls and gave us old avocado . Not coming back to this location again .... read more

SWEETGREEN Wow!!! That's all I kept saying to myself, wow!!!! First off, it's very roomy here and the decor was just clean and bright! We made our own bowls and the ingredients are impressive!!!!! There is so much to choose from, I wanted pretty much everything!!!! This is the only place that has the most toppings and ingredients to choose from and also the best overall!!!!!! The only thing I wish they allowed was combining the protein and there's a section that was just toppings to sprinkle over the bowl but it wasn't labeled so to save them trouble, they should put a sign what the toppings were. Toppings and dressings were so unique! They even asked if you wanted light, medium, or heavy on the dressing! Oh and the best party at the end, they mixed the bowl for you! That was really impressive!!!! This is my new healthy spot and hope they open up a lot more locations!!! read more

Discovered this restaurant chain in Boston. Had a good experience there so decided to try this one located at the Irvine Spectrum. The menu is labeled "G" for gluten free items. I ordered the hot honey chicken bowl. Cost was $15.45. The portions were large see pictures in my review. The taste was pretty good but not great. I liked the gluten free options and healthy choices. The service was fair. We ended up eating outside. They did have a fair amount of outside seating. They did have some tables inside. Would recommend for gluten free and healthier options. read more

I have walked by this place several times and due to long lines never tried it. This is similar to a chipotle or cava where you create a salad or bowl In an assembly line with a variety of healthy foods. I chose a salad with tofu and other items, it was so tasty especially the Greek goddess dressing! Because you're eating healthier foods the higher cost is justified. Located in the Irvine Spectrum it's convenient and you can sit indoor or on their patio. Highly recommend read more

Had high hopes for this place because people seem to love it, but thought it was a pretty average salad/bowl/plate type place. Tender Greens does it better. All the portions we got were overcooked (chicken/steak) and the salad combos were average. The caramelized garlic steak plate was super disappointing and didn't look anything like the pictures advertised. Steak was way overcooked and cut into tiny cubes (not strips) and looked unappetizing. Prices are pretty reasonable (~$14) given prices these days. read more

Tried Sweetgreen for the first time. We found a deal on Postmates and customized our orders. Food came out promptly and packaged very well. Hubby got the wild rice + quinoa bowl with miso glazed salmon and I got the kale cesar salad with roasted chicken. The flavor for both bowls were phenomenal. We love the plethora of sauces that were offered. the roasted sweet potatoes were delicious with all of their sauces! The parm crisps add great texture to the salad. Only complaint we have is the protein. Very dry and overcooked. The salmon was tough to bite through and the chicken was so dry it was chewy. That definitely needs improvement. Otherwise everything else is great. read more

Is there curbside pick up?
No, but many ppl park right out front to run in and grab if it's already been ordered. The spectrum is pretty chaotic for parking and seems to be what I observe to be working.
