This food truck is tucked in the same lot as George's Episcopal Church. Pro tip: map the church so you don't get lost. There are several eateries in that lot, but don't get distracted just look for the green food truck and you'll know you've found the right spot! I came here right after my workout and ordered food to go. OMG, I had no idea the tacos were humongous! They are literally the size of my palm spread out! Jeeesuz! I ordered three tacos: Gobernador: I didn't get to it until the next day, but the shrimp were so big and juicy, and that Chipotle aioli? Pure genius. I could put that on everything! Octopus: The only one I ate fresh that day and oh my goodness, flavor explosion! The melted cheese, the seasoning, the texture... everything about it is 10/10! Spicy Shrimp: I accidentally doubled up on shrimp tacos so I saved this one for the next day too, still delicious, still worth it. Service can take a little while since there's only one person taking orders and they're cooking everything fresh in the truck, but trust me , it's absolutely worth the wait! Who would've thought a little food truck could make such a big impact? Don't sleep on this hidden gem please come and taste the goodness for yourself!
We wanted tacos and we stumbled upon Seafood 1555's listing so we decided to give them a try. We followed the directions and arrived at a church parking lot. The interesting thing was that parking lot not only hosted Seafood 1555, but also a couple of other vendors. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Damian who helped me with my order. Since it was our first time, we wanted to try a broad number of items and sort of went a bit overboard. We ordered the Baja and grilled fish tacos, the Shrimp Ceviche, a couple of the Gobernador tacos, an Octopus taco, the Aguachile Negro, their flan, and a couple of the Agua Fresca Passion Fruit. The tacos were delicious, fresh, and very generously filled. After eating the tacos, we were pretty stuffed, but that didn't stop us from continue on to the ceviche and aguachile. Both the ceviche and aguachile had generous amounts of shrimp and octopus and most importantly, the right amount of acid. Delicious! For dessert we had the flan came which was topped with a blueberry/strawberry compote. The compote was tasty, but I thought the flan had too much of a gelatin texture. But my family liked it a lot. Overall, this was a great find for us and we will be returning soon.
Holy Shnikes. Hidden gem alert! First of all, you would never believe that they have some of the best mariscos I've had, let alone the best in a parking lot. I came here on a Friday during LENT because, well, I could not eat meat. After my haircut I strolled into this parking lot that resembled a little "food truck congregation" and thought to myself, "I. must. try. everything" But settling in first, this little outdoor setup is quaint and still very inviting. Service was amazing as the chefs and server were super nice with a great attitude. The Aguachile Negro was amazing. Strong citrus flavors, Umami from the squid ink, and fresh seafood and ingredients. It honestly does NOT get any better than this. I'll be back to try their tacos, especially their California style "taco" and their grilled fish. I just need to to take someone with me, because we're going to grub!
Seafood 1555 definitely a unique experience. Food truck parked in a cul de sac next to a park. U can take to to or sit at a few tables at the park and order for sit down. Workers super nice. Aguachiles was very good. Octopus and shrimp cooked perfectly. I really like the chips and guacamole. Guac fresh flavorful very good. Grilled fish tacos. Tortilla bomb. A little cheesy and saucy but overall very good. Salmon plate takes awhile to come but it was cooked perfectly. Shrimp was the star. Good char flavor. Cooked to perfection. This dish just needed tortilla. Excellent experience. I picked a super warm day to come. If it was a bit cooler be such a good experience. Need to come back and try the paella
It is a little tricky to get here. The restaurant is basically in the parking lot, right next to the playground and the taco restaurant. Seafood 1555 is like a pop up. Very glad we found this place, as the food is so fresh and absolutely perfect! We had the spicy octopus tacos, grilled Baja tacos, and chips n guac. Spicy is hot! But very good also . Fridays is paella day!! Service is friendly and it's outdoors. If you get a little chilly, sit by the grill and you'll be good!
The food looks fantastic in pictures but actually tastes so-so. If you've had legit Mexican seafood/mariscos you know the real thing if you've had seafood tacos in Mexico or San Diego. The food just didn't hit the perfect notes and everything was too salty and not as good as I've had at many other places. - California taco (3.5/5) - the grilled chile was the best part - Gobernador (3/5) - good but not enough chile - Aguachile Negro (2/5) decent
It was a little hard to find, there is a small sign with an arrow. Place is located in a gated area next to a school playground. We came on a Sunday early afternoon, there were other vendors across the way. Seating is limited and outdoors. Cook is outside with you. Service is excellent and friendly. Menu is limited to only seafood. The seafood was very fresh. We got the aguachile, ceviche, and fish taco. Originally we order the Cali special taco but they ran out of the chile so we had to substitute it for the fish taco. It was an excellent swap nonetheless. My favorite was the aguachile, very lemony but not at all spicy. The ceviche was okay, rather bland but the crema was good on the tostada. The fish taco (came out as a single) was my second favorite, it was a nice refresher after all the shrimp. Their agua Fresca was very good and refreshing. At the time they had cantaloupe milk, passionfruit water, and guava water. We got one of each, my favorite was the guava
The Best Seafood Tacos & An Owner Who Cares! These are hands down the best seafood tacos around. I highly recommend the octopus and the California especial taco, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you live in the area and haven't tried them, you are truly missing out. The portion sizes are always generous, and it's incredibly affordable for the amazing quality you get. What really makes this place special, though, is the owner, Guillermo. He is one of the kindest people you'll meet, and you can tell he pours his heart into his cooking. He genuinely cares about his art and the customer experience, often asking for feedback to make sure everything is perfect. Also, a great tip for anyone with picky eaters: Guillermo makes a mean quesadilla that is a lifesaver for the kids. This is more than just a taco spot; it's a community gem. I can't recommend it enough!
Absolutely solid Mexican seafood. Service is friendly and excellent. Had no expectation as a friend wanted to try this place. They are located on the weekends. There a bunch of other food from Mexico there too. We ordered the acquachile negro which is like a black ink octopus ceviche. Looks odd but tasted fantastic, tons of chopped up octopus and shrimp. Little heat on this dish. We also ordered the combination ceviche which comes with two large oyster shooters. Also fantastic. Again, tons of shrimp and octopus too. We added a couple of Baja tacos (battered and grill) and shrimp tacos. The chef added some special sauce on it which dressed it up. If you want to go more traditional, ask for the sauce on side. The uniqueness of these tacos were the tortillas. Two tortillas with one grilled slightly crispy. Added different texture. Overall a pleasant dining experience. Will definitely be back.
It's unfortunate but understandable that with what's happening in our current government that people are afraid to come out. There used to be a fantastic food court set it by individuals in front of this church and they have all disappeared; but one man wouldn't give up and he bought a food truck and now parks alone in the parking lot. The food is still amazing. I was here over a year ago and everything is still delicious. Brought two of my friends here and one of them said it was the best Taco he ever had. The aguachiles are worth it. He braises that octopus and it's so tender!!! I hope you give this young man your business!!!!!!
when we had shrimp tacos last week we were told there'd be paella this weekend so we had to return! the spice level was medium and oh so tasty. the octopus was soooo tender and perfectly grilled. the shrimp is always perfect. the clams (2 are served) were quite chewy and a bit of sand so hence the 4 stars. 6 blue corn tortillas accompanied the meal. service fantastic as always. there was a tamarind drink and passion fruit drink available for purchase. they're very good. it was a beautiful warm afternoon to sit and enjoy the dinner and walk around afterwards. the paella is $50, was plenty for two and enough for a big taco the next day
We were in the area for errands with our toddlers and found this place online. We had low expectations but were so pleasantly surprised and blown away! We had the spicy shrimp, Baja fish and carne asada tacos and aguachile negro. Portions were generous, seasoning was flavorful, and the cook on the seafood was perfect - shrimp tasted fresh with a great snap and octopus was tender and not fishy smelling. I am very surprised that this quality of food came from a food truck, it definitely tasted like high end food - good quality ingredients and you can tell the chef is professionally skilled. Another plus - kids liked the Cajun fries and there's a small playground about 5-10 feet from the truck/dining area where they could run around while we enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be back many more times!

This place isn't popular enough! We walked here after enjoying a fun day looking at the pet farm, winning some prizes at the fair, and built an appetite! Jack o lantern fair was just a few blocks away but we were craving seafood and we decided on Seafood 1555. Oh my gosh. We shared a steak burrito and two octopus& shrimp tacos & it was grilled to perfection. They also had 7 types of salsa as well as the fresh one they make on site. I mean I need to come back and order again because it's worth it all! Just walk behind the parking lot when you enter the church, it's behind the car repairs. And they make it looks like a farmers market with about 3-4 businesses serving food and desserts :) Service was amazing they asked if we needed any thing and we were the only customers remaining so they were patient and didn't rush us at all. Super kind cook. Pop up chairs, canopies, and beautiful dishes were served. Don't think twice. Go order some stellar seafood tacos today!! read more
Seafood 1555 absolutely knocked it out of the park. The customer service was truly off the charts--warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. You can feel that they care, and it makes the whole experience even better. The shrimp tacos were loaded--generous, fresh, and insanely flavorful. Every bite was satisfying, not skimpy in the slightest, and perfectly balanced. The kind of tacos you think about later and immediately want again. And don't sleep on the chips and salsa. So many places treat it as an afterthought, but here it was very, very good--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to the meal. Great food, generous portions, and standout service. Wow, if I could give 6 stars, I would!!! This taco truck is a hidden gem Food: - shrimp ceviche: gigantic (see pic) with fresh giant shrimp, large slices of avocado in a tangy tomato ceviche marinade - spicy shrimp taco: lots of shrimp, cabbage and cheese served on a blue corn tortilla with a lime - tasty octopus done mexican style with spice and flavor (will order next time) It's located behind a church in a parking lot. Perfect for an afternoon solo or with your family & friends. I'll definitely be back soon read more
I'd give Seafood 1555 ten stars if I could! I saw the high ratings on Yelp and was a little skeptical that a tent in church parking lot could be that good. It is. The food here looks like it could be from some fancy restaurant. Chef Guillermo Damian specializes in Mexican seafood, with a menu offering ceviches to tacos to entrees like whole grilled fish and octopus. The gobernador taco was piled high with a generous portion of shrimp. The grilled fish taco was expertly cooked, yielding a fish that was almost creamy in texture. Big fat shrimp were featured in the aguachile rojo, along with octopus. Even though the food was served under a tent, it came in a nice decorative bowl. Service is super friendly too. I'm almost hesitant to post about Seafood 1555 because I don't want it to blow up and become super crowded. However, they deserve to be very successful, and I want other people to experience the joy of their food! read more
There's a sort of ambiance sitting in the shade, under an Eazy-Up on a nice day out. For us, when we went, it was a little too chilly so we ended up getting our food to go. Nevertheless, we enjoyed a couple beverages while awaiting our order. Hoping to go back when it wasn't as windy. (And yes, this place is for the time being set up in the parking lot of a church along with other tents.) Husband ordered the shrimp ceviche and I went with the aguachile negro. We weren't careful and spilled a bunch of the ceviche sauce when we got home but there was still plenty to go around. Shrimp ceviche - They use cooked shrimp that were really plump, large and juicy. The sauce was delicious and savory. Husband was actually torn between this and the cocktail but he did not regret this choice. I liked this ceviche but.... Aguachile Negro !!!!! This was a party in my mouth. The sauce dark and deceptively dangerous-looking but it turned out to be so nice and savory, unlike the usual tartness of traditional aguachiles where the citrus is required to cook the raw shrimp. Again, they use cooked shrimp in their version. Definitely a very delicious food adventure that we hope to repeat. I only might have second thoughts about trying anything else because I can't give up my aguachile negro. read more

Taco prices are ~$7-10, but are justified by the portion sizes (basically 2 tacos in 1). The baja fish taco had 3 pretty big pieces of fish, so one taco alone was enough to have me full. Both the fish and gobernador tacos were flavorful, but the fish was a little salty--I wish there was more sauce to balance it out. read more
Amazing tacos; best Baja fish taco I've had. So crispy and fresh and large portion! Other tacos are great too. We came back the next day. Service is great. Chef and servers are very friendly:) It's on a church parking lot so it's pretty casual but the tables and umbrellas they have make it feel comfortable! read more

This place...is one of the best things to happen to me this year! No exaggeration. My husband chose this place and took us for an early dinner, and WOW, I am so glad that he did! There was a nice breeze sitting at one of the shaded tables as this restaurant is in an outdoors amongst other restaurants and tent shops. However, don't let that deter you from trying this place out! Customer service was SO good! Super friendly, warm and welcoming, and proactive by nature. Such a great and thoughtful team, they fully embody the food that they serve. I love and totally respect that! The food all came out great and timely. The whole fish took a bit longer but it's enough to eat the other dishes that we ordered. If we hadn't eaten a late lunch earlier, we would have ordered more. We ordered the shrimp and octopus cocktail with the tostadas - chef's kiss! We also ordered the baja fish taco and the lightly battered and fried fish + the sauce and slaw + the tortilla all came together so well. Not heavy, not greasy, but just right. The main hero of the entire dinner sesh was the grilled hamachi with shrimp and octopus on top (and a side of salad with some big avocado slices on top, along with a side of tortillas). Wow, and wow. The garlic and sauce on the grilled fish was so SO good. We walked out with a "see you next week!" to the best staff ever. So glad to have found this place - please keep it up and we will be back and cheering you guys on!! read more

place takes me straight back to Cabo! Had shrimp and octopus ceviche, super authentic, all I need is a beer in the hand, then I am really feeling like I am in Cabo! Their Baja fish taco, oh I can't probably go back just for this. the fish is tender but seasoned well, the sauce has a kick of heat, and smoky flavor, the two tortillas holds the entire flavor together. We also got the California special taco, it comes with a charred pepper, stuffed with cheese, shrimp and octopus, so good! Place is inside the parking lot of the st gorge's episcopal church, you feel like you are really in Mexico with the outdoor dining vibe. Service was on point. Would def come back Hopefully they get permit to have beer soon, that would be even better read more

We came mid afternoon and it was pretty warm but thankfully it was manageable under the canopies. We tried the shrimp and octopus ceviche that others were raving about and we were not disappointed. My wife was at first reluctant to order this $20 dish from a parking lot setup but the quality and portion size was surprisingly good. The size and freshness of the shrimp and octopus and flavor was outstanding. The server was pleasant and attentive. There is night lightening. They don't have any liquor on the menu and I don't know if customers can bring their own but that would be a nice option if they allow it. This is a church parking lot so that might be a prohibition by the lot owner. Probably for the best since more things can go wrong when alcohol is on premise. read more

My mom came across this restaurant and really wanted to try this place out because of their numerous 5* reviews. It's kind of unheard of to find a place with that many 5* across the board however they're also not facing numerous factors a typical brick & mortar restaurant faces. Their food is very generous and delicious and beautifully presented to the palate. My bf and I came by to try them out and we were more than satisfied. Their ceviche is filling. I would suggest if you come, to order family style, and share. 1 dish per person, so you can enjoy the most! So the next day, as my mom works our restaurant on Saturdays, I swung by to get some ceviche for her too. She really wanted to try the shrimp and octopus. She gave a bite to all of our employees who were interested in trying this place on their own now. And she's very content. Come earlier than later, as sometimes they run out of some ingredients to complete their full menu. They'll usually have shrimp and fish on deck. And some weekends, chef Guillermo is thinking of new specials to add on. Parking is plentiful. If coming from the south of 5 freeway, go straight to Carlotta and the church/parking is on the left side. There's a chain link gated area where a bunch of tents are placed. From other tacos, crepes, furniture, jewelry, and more, you'll find Seafood close to the end where the gated play structure (for kids) and church building is. read more

It's a hidden gem, with delicious food. I'm NOT a fan of aguachile HOWEVER this aguachile rojo is addictive. It's gonna keep you wanting more and more but alas be careful because it's a bit spicy. It's something I would re order from here. We ordered the Baja Shrimp taco and the Taco Governor. My favorite was the Taco Governador because of how well the spices work with the shrimp. Had to come back to try the shrimp tacos and get more fish tacos because it is SO GOOD! Brought my family and we also enjoyed shrimp ceviche, and the California special. Every dish is excellent and love the casual atmosphere. Plenty of seating available. read more

It's in the parking lot in St. George's Episcopal Church. There are other food trucks there too.

Not a food truck (yet). 100% outdoor restaurant with tents. It was raining after we got there, yesterday. But we were under a tent and dry.
