It has been a while to this place. We are looking for a snacks and opted this. The service was great this time - but the food is costly for popcorn chicken like half size from Quickly , 6 pcs curry fish ball and a jasmine milk tea @ $24+ tax.

We were craving some Hong Kong-style dessert and found this place. You can scan the QR code on the table to order. They have a lot of selections from savory to sweet. We ordered the following: G05 Mango Delight Dessert with Grass Jelly G10 Black Sticky Rice with Mango and Coconut Milk H21 Honey Jelly with Mango Juice & Yogurt All of them tasted well, highly recommended!

I haven't been here since high school but a few things have changed! When you walk in, you can either order with the employee or use the kiosk. Made my order on the kiosk and got my dessert in less than 5 minutes. This establishment has seating but when it gets busy, it's hard to find seating!

My boyfriend has brought me here for dates on several occasions, and it's quickly become a place we both genuinely enjoy going to for a comforting sweet treat. This cozy spot specializes in traditional Asian desserts, offering a fantastic array of options that are perfect for a chilly evening or just a quiet moment together. While everything on the menu looks tempting, my absolute favorites are their red bean soup and sesame soup, both served with delightful tangyuan (glutinous rice balls). The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal place for a casual date night where you can unwind and enjoy good conversation over warm desserts. The service is typically friendly and efficient, adding to the pleasant experience. If you're in the Millbrae/San Bruno area and looking for authentic and delicious Asian dessert soups, especially with tangyuan, Sweet Indulgence is a great choice.

This place is a JOKE!! They charge $10 for ten very tiny pieces of chicken! The photo on the right is what I received, the photo on the left is from Quickly on Southgate Ave in Daly City and they charge $8 for a bucket. Get real guys and do better than taking advantage of your customers.....especially in this day and age.

Toasted bun with condensed milk

Their Black Pepper Sauce with Pork Chop is very salty and I had to stop eating at one point, which is not typical for me. Moreover, I wish the toasted bun had more condensed milk.

Sesame egg waffle (eggette)

Average egg waffle (eggette), got the sesame flavor. I've had better and I've had worse, at least it wasn't doughy. I like genki in sf best. Not factored into the 3 stars for the waffle (but didn't help) - it took awhile to get my waffle. Like 25 min and the place was empty when I got there. And then one other person was there before I left. And admittedly kind of off topic - I used their bathroom and they do that thing where you have to use a key. The rope/string that the key was on was pretty gross. Are there really that many people wandering in to try to use their restroom? I would've preferred a keypad.

Basil Chicken and Steamer Rice Noodle Roll with Hoisin Peanut Sauce

I've been coming to sweet indulgence for over 10 years now. It's a great place especially if you come with friends or a group of people who all want something different since their menu is quite extensive. They have alushies, drinks, ice cream, crepes, savory snacks, light entrees and more! My favorites are the Basil Chicken, Jelly with Mango/Watermelon, and Sweet Purple Potato Gelato. The only cons I would say is the prices have steadily increased while the portions have gotten smaller and smaller. Their basil chicken is my favorite but they give you like maybe 6 pieces or so. At places like Quickly's and TA Tea, they give you 3x the portion in comparison. Other than that, I would still swing by every now and then, though mainly with friends.

Sesame soup and tofu pudding

Cantonese desserts are always refreshing, light, and delicious. My go-to sweets are black sesame soup and steamed milk pudding (these are classic desserts).

Crème brûlée mochi toast
Rachel H.

I used to come here all the time with my friends for dessert after dinner, and I recently came back after not coming here since the pandemic. I feel like there are way more savory foods now! Since I already ate dinner, I only got dessert. I had the crème brûlée mochi toast, and this was absolutely delicious!! I subbed the vanilla ice cream for vanilla gelato, and I thought it was worth it. The mochi gave the toast a really delightful texture, and the toasted marshmallows and crème brûlée topping really pushed it over the edge. This will most likely be my go-to dessert! The reasons why I docked it a star are because the service was pretty slow, and a table that ordered after us got their desserts first.

1 scoop of Chocolate and 1 scoop of Coffee Gelato, 4 oz cup, $6.95

298 Broadway Millbrae, CA 94030 "Sweet Indulgence" is a dessert place with an overwhelming menu. The only reason why I went in this place was because the Yelp listing says "ice cream and frozen yogurt." So I have been here twice now, and both times I enjoyed the gelato. The first time, I had a scoop of chocolate and scoop of coffee gelato. The second visit was on Christmas eve, I got three scoops- chocolate, coffee, and mango. The gelato is very good and has a smooth texture. Plenty of inside seating, and a restroom is available with a key.

Sesame paste and egg puff

We've been coming here for over 15 years and still love what Sweet Indulgence offers -- authentic Hong Kong-style snacks, desserts, and drinks. My go-tos are the mango desserts (like the tofu fa or panna cotta with mango) and the matcha soymilk slush with tofu gelato. With so many new boba spots popping up on the same street, it's easy to overlook this gem, but the desserts here have always been consistently delicious. What they serve reminds me of the treats I grew up with back home in Hong Kong -- and honestly, there aren't many places like this left in the Bay Area. We just came by again with our toddler, and I'm reminding myself to stop by more often to support them. They truly deserve to thrive, even with all the new competition.

So sad, my family and I have been coming to Sweet Indulgence for over 15+ years and it never fails, the owner lady with the short hair (and sometimes glasses) is ALWAYS so rude!! Full of attitude and just not pleasant to her customers. Case in point, we brought some friends and their kids here last night after dinner for their first time and they were SO turned off by how unpleasant she was. She looks miserable being there and just how she talks to people is not nice. I had to salvage the situation and reassure them that the other owner lady usually making the desserts and is in the back is waaaay nicer. She's always so soft spoken and cares a lot about her customers. I forget her name but when I use to frequent Sweet Indulgence more, she actually remembered my drink order and favorite dessert. That's when you know she cares! The workers here are generally pretty nice and helpful too which is another saving grace. I'm glad to see them still in business after all these years since they are one of the only Asian sit down dessert spots in the area that opens til 10pm but sadly, it's never a pleasant experience when I encounter the rude owner. What a shame! Food wise and desserts have been consistently these years and they have incorporated many cute desserts and different flavor gelato. Their in-store menu prices vs. their online menu prices with the QR code are slightly different. I think the online prices already tacks on a credit card surcharge. If you order from the counter and use a credit card as well, you will see a credit card surcharge on your receipt. I'm not sure if it is clearly stated somewhere on the counter that they impose a surcharge but just a heads up. All and all, don't mind the attitude if you are looking for a place that stays open late BUT if you are looking for dessert options earlier in the day, there are others in the area more worth going to with nicer service.

Five stars for Alysia!!!…read more I frequent Baskin-Robbins often. Whenever Alysia is working, she gives the best service, the biggest smiles, and is always so sweet to my five-year-old son. My best friend ordered my birthday cake from here. I'm so used to lackluster service these days. But not here at Baskin-Robbins Millbrae. Alysia went above and beyond to make my birthday cake SUPER SPECIAL!! I had some special requests for the cake. Alysia was so helpful. She noted everything I wanted and made it happen. Phenomenal service!! In a day where magic is often lost, Alysia has restored my faith in humanity and in exquisite ice cream cakes!!! This cake took my breath away and put so much joy in my heart. I cannot recommend Baskin-Robbins delicious ice cream cakes enough. As well as Alysia for decorating them with so much love and care! She has an extraordinary eye for design and I'm so lucky she made my 40th birthday cake!! Thank you so much for everything!

I went inside this ice cream parlor in search of my favorite comfort food.....coffee & chocolate ice cream. I asked the young lady for coffee and chocolate ice cream, and she said they don't have that. So I asked for a scoop of each, and put it in a cup. Boy, their scoops are small at this place. Then she asked: - do you want a cover? - do you want a bag? - do you want a spoon? - do you want a receipt? I paid my $6.99, and I was out the door. I probably will not come back. Free parking

If you're unsure of which flavor to get, there is no limit to how many flavors you can try. My personal favorite is the Strawberry Coconut Water Sherbet. Light and creamy, lots of strawberry and coconut flavor, and It's dairy free. The customer service is always great and friendly. Their attention to detail for allergies is top tier. In store they also use a new scoop, wash their hands and even get a fresh scoop from a new pint to avoid cross contamination. It does get busy at times, but it's worth the wait. Trying new flavors is an experience in itself. If you don't feel like waiting in line, you can always go in and just get a pint from the available flavors in the freezer by the door. Nonetheless, it's always a good time at Salt & Straw.

The texture is incredibly creamy, which balances out the bold, unique flavors perfectly. I tried the Pot of Gold and the Freckled Mint. Both were delicious and well-crafted. I've visited both the Burlingame and Hayes Valley locations--be prepared that there isn't really seating at either, but the Burlingame spot has a very hip, high-energy atmosphere. The Highlights: * Staff: Incredibly patient and friendly (crucial when you're trying to decide between wild flavors!). * Dietary Friendly: Great vegan options that don't sacrifice creaminess. * Value: Very decent pricing for the quality and creativity you get. If you want ice cream that's "different" and daring, this is your place.

There was an issue with their website and they couldn't deliver on her birthday (one star off). But they called and I rescheduled to the Friday that week. One of the things she was looking forward the most to was having a pink unicorn themed birthday cake. I put in a custom order online a week or two in advance and got a confirmation of my order. The day of the party comes and we go to the store to pick up the cake right before the party and were appalled to see that instead of a pink, unicorn themed cake with "happy birthday" written on it, we received instead a plain white cake, no decorations. After bringing this up and the staff looking into it, it turns out that the decorator just completely botched our order. It was too late for us to cancel the order and get a cake anywhere else, so the staff member just hurriedly scrawled a happy birthday on the cake, but it just looked sloppy and somehow made the cake look even more sad. When she saw the cake, my daughter asked where her pink unicorn cake was. The guests at our party were too nice to say anything but I could see the look of surprise at such a basic cake. To say the least, I was pissed. Luckily, the decorator got at least the requested flavors of our cake correct and the cake itself tasted fine. After the party, I contacted the store and had to go back and forth with a couple of the staff members before they finally contacted the manager who gave me a call and asked me to explain the situation over again. At the end of the day, she refunded me for 50% of what I paid. Although this didn't take away from the disappointing experience we had, it was better than nothing. While this place is still fine for an impromptu sweet treat while at the mall, I won't be bringing my business back here for any custom cake orders.
