It's great that the helpful and friendly staff will give you a box to pack your order if you didn't bring anything or don't want to pay for a styrofoam container. My go to flavors here are chocolate, cappuccino, and mint. They work well with the chocolate dip and crunchy cookie. As much as I grew up on vanilla and thought I'd like strawberry or pumpkin, the ice cream isn't as satisfying due to rather bland flavoring in comparison to my go to's. Oddly my go to's aren't even flavors I typically order at other ice cream shops. I just personally find them to taste better than the other flavors after having tried them all. My hubby and I were talking about how we have been passing by this It's It Ice Cream factory ever since we were kids - on the freeway. Initially we were looking for factory tours but found out they do not have any but I found they have a retail store! We finally stopped in yesterday to check it out. The store is very small inside. They have It's It T-shirts, hoodies, hats and stickers for sale. Their Ice cream are sold as $2 each or 24 for $26. We bought a variety box of 24 (strawberry, chocolate, cappuccino, pumpkin, etc). The best part was the excellent customer service from the lady there (did not get her name but she was wearing a cream colored It's It hoodie). She was able to pack in some dry ice for our ice cream sandwiches good for "3 hours" enough for our 2.5 hour drive back up to Santa Rosa. However, it lasted much longer than that, the dry ice did not melt til the next morning. She said she can package any ice cream up to 24 hours FYI. We appreciated the customer service and how convenient it was to carry our ice cream home. Unfortunately, the matcha flavor all sold out but if it's back, I would make the trip down to Burlingame again! read more

The server/ cashier was tentatively nice and accommodating. I bought a shirt , some stickers and the cappuccino /reg size ice cream sandwich. Highly suggest that the variety of flavors be made available in mini sizes for store front. Sometimes the smaller bites sold as individual will make visitors want to try the variety without having to be obligated to buy a box of specific flavors. I've driven by the It's-It factory my entire life and always wanted to go in. I was hoping that we could get a view of the factory itself and perhaps even pay to go on a tour, but unfortunately, factory tours are not offered. You only have access to their retail storefront, which isn't very big, but you have an assortment of different It's-It ice cream flavors, products, and merchandise to choose from. Each item is priced at $2 which is reasonable. I got the original, chocolate chip cookie, pumpkin, and strawberry flavors during my last visit. If you're getting any of it to go but you're not buying enough to fill up a case, I would suggest bringing a mini cooler with an ice pack to store the product until you get home. The ice cream was delicious and my kids and I very much enjoyed our sweet treat. I only wish they had seating available to make things more comfortable - we just sat on the sidewalk curb outside. read more

I noticed a lot of parked cars but surprising there wasn't a line. I assume it's because nothing needs to be made and everything is already packaged. The factory is similar to an ice cream shop where they have individual packaged It's-It and 3 non-It's It. I decided to get all 10 flavors since it was my first time here, and I knew I was going to be back again since I love their ice cream. Each one costs $2. There isn't really much to this place. It's a very small fun, little store that sells merchandise and a variety of It's-It ice cream sandwiches. For the merch, they have T-shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, and stickers. If you're looking for a deal on the clothing, you're going to be paying a decent penny but the stickers for the real bargain at just a dollar apiece. With the ice cream, they provide what you can commonly find in stores: vanilla, strawberry, mint and cappuccino, and to my surprise something I hadn't seen before green tea. They also had the mini It's-Its and sold them in bundles, as well as their Big Daddy brand. Having crossed a toll bridge to get there have to admit it was pretty underwhelming. When my sister told me we were going to where it's-it's were made, my imagination carried the expectation that it would be similar to the Jelly Belly factory in Vallejo. Nevertheless, this was a cool one time experience. The staff there were very friendly, and the environment was quite refreshing. I'd say this is more of a tourist destination than an actual ice cream store/factory. I have no interest in ever going there again, but I do encourage fans of the ice cream sandwich to pull through from what I believe could be a fun experience. 4/5. read more

The pumpkin was so creamy and with a strong of hit spice, and tasted totally natural and loved the balance of warm spices. I was so impressed with the high quality and taste for the price. Likewise, the green tea had authentic and vibrant green tea notes come through. It was perfectly balanced against the creaminess of the ice cream base and not too sweet. The cappuccino was okay but still good all things considered. Oatmeal cookie part is okay to me. It's a bit too crunchy and sweet, and one note for me.
