A co-worker had brought some in for a party and it just brought back memories eating this and ice cream with family. I recently went with my co-worker to come back for more of the delicious cannoli. I was surprised to see that the place hasn't changed at all. Everything still made in house. Prices like everything are up. My co-worker and I had split 24 minis, we were surprised to pay $42 for each but bit the bullet and paid up. Now that I look at the menu, we got ripped off LOL. It's cheaper to buy 1 dozen for $72 and you cut it yourself. You save $12 ‍..note to self and everyone else.. The cannolis were heavenly and much enjoyed by my family. It was a once in a while treat, not something I'd do weekly. We had tiramisu, chocolate, and original. It's a toss up for me between tiramisu or original. Everyone loves the cannoli shell. I had a tiramisu shake as well and it was delicious. I just wish they had a bigger straw. Finally came in the area to try Romolo's Cannoli! I used to live in Boston and ate Bova's a lot, so after moving back to the Bay Area, I desperately missed cannolis. Found them through someone else's TikTok and decided to go try! They had a seasonal pumpkin filling in addition to the original and chocolate fillings, so I opted to try the original and pumpkin. The worker was very kind and made suggestions for toppings when I asked. I got the original shell with pumpkin filling and toffee topping and an original filling with chocolate chips. The store was super cute too! I was the only one in the store, so it was definitely on the quieter end, but the ambiance of the bakery is so cozy and warming that I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area. Definitely also want to try the tiramisu! Since they will be devouring the cannolis at a later time, I thought to give them a kit to fill the cannolis themselves, so the cannolis will be eaten fresh. You get a tube of original filling for 6 cannolis. That's the minimum if you want a kit. 6 cannolis for $36. On the day I visited, they had chocolate, original and lemon filling. I also bought 2 cannolis for myself. I ordered the chocolate and original filling with chocolate covered cannoli shells. As for the garnishes, they had cherries, chocolate chips, pistachios, and toffee. I chose toffee and pistachios. Maybe next time I'll be adventurous and choose something different, but that day, I wanted something familiar. Service was friendly and quick. There aren't many Cannoli shops in the Peninsula, like shops specifically dedicated to quality, freshly-made, Italian Cannoli's. But walking by this place and the authentic Italian curb appeal it gave me, I was enticed to try it out with the kids. They of course opted for the ice cream, which they devoured while sitting on the cafe tables inside. I couldn't decide what I wanted, there's so much to choose from as a first timer here. So I went for their mini cannoli. They basically cut in half a regular longer cannoli, I wasn't expecting that. I chose the regular filling with pistachios and chocolate chips on each side. The shell was perfectly crispy and the ricotta filling not too sweet. A good portion for me. It was satisfying! It would be fun if they had more options for flavors of the ricotta filling or for the garnishes. I love the option to buy an ice cream filled cannoli or other treats from their fridge. You can even buy a cannoli making kit so you can fill it yourself at home. I had so many questions because I hadn't tried a lot of the treats, but it was hard to find someone to ask that wasn't busy doing something else, even though we were the only ones in the shop.
