After dinner I had some time to kill and wanted a cup of tea and something sweet. Walked down the street and saw this cute shop. They have crepes, tea, ice cream and tea drinks among many other things. I chose the peach crepe with vanilla ice cream and a cup of jasmine tea. I liked the crepe even though the peaches were obviously canned but there was a weird tingly feeling on my tongue from them. Not sure what that was all about. The have other flavors of ice cream and fillings as well. It was very quiet when I went...around 6pm on a Saturday night. Service was friendly and very prompt. read more

Still loving this place after all these years! Got dessert delivered for hubby's b'day. Litchi Raspberry is delicious! Raspberry Gelee pairs well with the lychee mousse. I like how moist the bottom almond sponge cake is. I eat very little gluten, and still love it. Tulip is very interesting to look at. Strong Oolong flavors infuses a rather dull chocolate mousse. A lone cube of weird texture in the center turns out to be a slice of apple. Our favorite, though is the Panna Cotta in the Panna Cotta with Mango Delight. It is dreamy creamy like heaven. Finished dinner at 9pm and wanted a boba or dessert. Nowadays, its rather limited in choices after 7pm not to mention 9pm. We had tried this place a few years ago and it was just okay. Came on Friday evening and there was no wait. Still a couple tables open, but there are not too many tables in the store for social distancing and ordering purposes. You can either order online using mobile with QR code or at the counter. Desserts: G15 Panna Cotta w/Strawberry Juice: Sweet strawberries and juice. Panna cotta was more jello-like than silky creamy smooth with gentle wobble. So the consistency and texture were not quite right. Litchi Framboise (Lychee Mousse, Raspberry Gelee with Lychee, and Almond Sponge Cake): Lychee flavor was good with creamy mousse and raspberry gelee. The sponge cake was more harder consistency than a fluffy sponge cake. Service: Staff at front counter was friendly in taking my order up front. Desserts came out fairly quick after being seated. Sweet Indulgence is a neat desert cafe. My mango coconut drink $6.75 was decent. It would have better if the coconut taste was more pronounced. The mango taste was too overpowering. More like a 3.5, but I'll round up...Haven't visited in a long time, but decided to stop by for dessert over the weekend. The mango coconut drinks are good here, reminiscent of the ones at Hui Lau Shan. Super refreshing. Other things we ordered: * Mango Sago - It would've been good had it been a lot more chilled. I swear it was almost at room temperature so we didn't really enjoy it. * Creme Brulee Honey (Mochi) Toast Special - I wish the toast was more like the brick toasts that they serve at other places. Here, it's three slices of toast with mochi in between the slices. The mochi didn't really do anything for me and the dessert didn't remind me of creme brulee at all so *shrug*. Amount of honey to drizzle on the toast was perfect though! * Macau Pudding (Chocolate Flavor) - This isn't really my thing, but my sister is a fan of Macau Puddings. We both agreed chocolate wasn't the best flavor for this type of dessert, so I would suggest choosing another flavor. Overall, don't expect any amazing desserts here, but if you're looking for a reliable HK-style dessert shop, this is it. Plenty of space but very little amount of tables and chairs in here. The desserts here are really not that good. The Walnut soup paste is way too sweet and too gooey. The Walnut Pudding Egg White is not even close. They don't even know how to put all the ingredients together, way too sweet, watery and no texture at all. Disgusting!!!!! The Mango and Coconut with Honey jelly is just okay. But for the Honey jelly you can't even taste the honey flavor.The service is so slow. read more

This cafe has a large ordering menu with variety of desserts, drinks, and snacks. The sheer variety made it a little difficult to decide what to order, but not a problem if you go by what you are craving. We stopped by mainly for eggettes (which showed up on the menu as egg puffs). Although the wait was longer than expected (there was only 1 worker on a Wednesday night), the egg puffs were perfectly crispy! Compared to egg puffs from the store Eggettes, these were less doughy/chewy in the middle. I prefer it this way, more crispy! Inside, the cute little booths were lined with miniature figures of Studio Ghibli characters, adding a perfect touch to the cafe. This is a good place to catch up with a small group of friends, or grab a quick tea/coffee for yourself to go. It's corner location makes it convenient. read more

This is my new favorite dessert spot. Parking is pretty easy if you go around 8/9pm and every time I've been there I never waited long to order or get a table. The service is what is expected, and the place is clean. What makes this place shine though is the food. I used to get dessert a lot in SF with family, but this place has taken my heart. I highly recommend the mango sago for a cold dessert, any of the French toast (I got matcha and loved it), and the taro with sago and coconut milk for a hot dessert. My friends have gotten the mango pudding, and yuzu fruit tea drink and loved it. I will be coming here more and trying more desserts for sure! read more

We were craving for ice cream after dinner and found this place down the street. Noticed pics of some specialty cakes and pudding on the walls but settled for gelato. This is a simple, no-frills Hong Kong style dessert cafe. It's not the most unique or trendy, but it's been a staple for me in the Peninsula. It's in a quiet spot in Millbrae. Parking is usually not too hard around the area and the service is fine. My favorite part to sit in is the longer tables near the window. There's a side of the restaurant that has little figurines in the window that are so cute - like mini towns. They have a good selection of drinks, hot food, and hot/cold desserts. I'm happy when I can have my rice rolls and black sesame soup. We also get some of the fried foods like popcorn chicken or squid legs. I wouldn't recommend the hot foods like the noodle soups and rice plates, but if you haven't had dinner or you're more hungry, they are there. Everything is decent but nothing to be wowed about. If you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, this is the place. They have so many food options. The menu covers so many food items from noodle dishes to pastries I've never seen before. I've only gotten dessert from this spot and every time I'm left feeling so great about my decision to satisfy my major sweet tooth. Both of the desserts we ordered were amazing especially the jasmine one. Jasmine Cake - jasmine mousse, passion fruit curd with green tea chiffon cake. Heavenly! You could taste the distinct and pronounced favor of each ingredient. The aromatic jasmine mousse matched well with the slightly tangy passion fruit curd. The green tea chiffon cake was light and airy. Such a delightful yummy treat! Mango Delight Coconut Noodle - the mango pieces were really sweet and the mango sauce was thick. The coconut noodles were silky smooth(the coconut favor was not strong though). Great dessert where the natural favors of the fruits really shined. Cute little Instagram worthy desserts that are just too cute to eat. Came after a big lunch and didn't have much of an appetite but was able to try this little cute cake as my nieces birthday treat. I only tried a couple bites but enjoyed the light airy fruity dessert that was not overly sweet but packed with so much flavor. The owners here are always very kind and friendly. We've been coming here for a long time and always enjoy their food, especially the desserts. The place inside is very calming and relaxing and they have a wide selection of menu items. Their desserts are always divine. They were also very generous and made us their new croffle dessert for us to try. I've been going here since high school especially after badminton practices! They're located at a corner and are easily spotted with their mochi/ice cream looking sign. They have authentic Hong Kong/Chinese desserts like Tofu Ice Cream, Black Sticky Rice with Mango & Coconut Milk, and Steamed Milk Pudding! Their menu size is really diverse with crepes, mango series, cakes, crispy fried chicken, ramen, and much more. I have to say I would not order the crepe cake again, but the lychee mousse was delicious and I would love to come back and try some other items. Lychee mousse - this was amazing. I almost never see lychee in desserts and it's one of my favorites. The mousse was light and beautifully flavored, and paired well with the raspberry. The chocolate crepe cake was much richer than I expected - the filling is quite thick, unlike other I've had with more light, whipped fillings. That being said, it was tasty, just a different style than I expected. Matcha crepe cake - this was a lowlight. Similar thick texture tot hw chocolate, but the matcha flavor was so overpowering that there was an almost unpleasant aftertaste. We got the hot black rice with taro and coconut, hot black sesame and hot steamed milk. All were just alright. I recently ordered a small cake for my wife's birthday and OMG....it was not only beautiful but one of the best cakes we've tried in this country. And, above all, it was a gluten-free (mousse) cake once my wife can't have gluten at all. Asian deserts are different once they are not super sweet that in the second bite you are done with so much sugar. Inside was dark and white chocolate with a layer of fruit - my wife was so amazed by the presentation and the flavor that it became the highlight of her day, above all the other plans I made for us to celebrate her day.
