I love this place! Not only are their cakes absolutely amazing but their customer service is stellar. My birthday dinner was planned for the day before hurricane Harvey hit Houston, due to the storm we had to cancel dinner. We decided to throw something together last minute the following week and I was able to place my cake order the day before I needed the cake. On the day of pickup I panicked when I realized I physically couldn't make it to their location due to flooded roads and closed freeways - Alejandro came through in the clutch and delivered the cake. I've frequented this place for a little pick me up on numerous occasions, considering I work nearby. The Thursday deals are probably what got me the most, $3 teas with boba! Just FYI they use clear(?) tapioca pearls. Sometimes I feel as though the drinks aren't consistent but usually I enjoy them. I've had the cafe su da, milk tea, matcha latte and I like the latter two the most. The cupcakes are good as well, I've bought them for friends and they've all enjoyed them. Some personal favorites are the red velvet, orange blossom, strawberry, and the pumpkin spice during the fall! I personally don't enjoy buying macarons because of how pricy they are, but they're pretty well known for those. There's a Monday deal for macarons but I can't remember the last time I came for that. I've tried the macarons and as well the Milk tea with tapioca. Love the the macarons, very flavorful than what I get at TSB in Sugar Land. I love the red rose especially. The milk tea on the other hand was an okay tasting. I didn't really like the texture for the tapioca too chewy for me. Sweet is one of my favorite cupcake shops. I have gotten cookies and cupcakes from this location and they have always been fast. You can even order online. My dad used the online store to buy cupcakes for my mom for Valentine's Day and they turned out super cute and tasty. They also have gluten free cupcakes which are really good. read more

I have been a SWEET customer for a long time, I really enjoy their milk tea ( the best in my opinion) and their macarons. But I had a horrible customer service experience when I ordered 40 macarons and got 36 instead. ( it was on macaron day and it was being packaged in the kitchen).Cutting the story short, I called the store and got a rude response from the manager, then posted on Facebook, got their attention and an email to address my concerns. After a few polite messages from me to know what the solution was going to be and 5 days, I get their final answer, stating that I should be using my time on something else, rather than complain over 4 promotional macarons and that : "Your petty actions through your Facebook review and incessant harassment through direct message has left our entire staff and management team without any desire for your continued business". So, I will politely take my business somewhere else where hospitality is part of the customer service. read more

I happened upon this place after a dinner out in CityCentre and have to say, I was impressed. I found the interior to be appealing & quaint, and the staff member very friendly & accommodating. The Key Lime Tart was to-die-for delicious. The peanut butter cupcake (of my date's) was heavenly as well. I saved a macaroon to try the next morning for breakfast and it was just so-so. I've had better at the Highland Village farmer's market (though, those were $2 each, and this place's were just $1.50). It's look way better than it's tasted. I got the Pistachio, salted caramel, and creme brûlée. That's all I can say for the macaroon I didn't try any cakes or other treats. The Macaroon is a little soft, when you bite into it is not crunchy. $2-$3 for a soft macaroon is not worth it. I ordered a variety of sweet treats for a bridal shower I was cohosting this past weekend and noticed once I got to the shower that a dozen mini cupcakes were missing from the bags. I picked up the phone at 12:15 to let them know it was missing and they were very apologetic. They went out of their way to quickly deliver TWO dozen mini cupcakes to the shower with plenty of time to spare for the 1pm start time! Thank you Sweet for your wonderful customer service! Don't really have a sweet tooth but whenever I'm strolling around City Centre with my boyfriend (who has enough of a sweet tooth for the both of us), we always seem to make our way into SWEET. Their milk tea is surprisingly good and their cafe sua da is tasty too. My boyfriend likes their cupcakes so we decided to try their pumpkin cupcake and red velvet cupcake last weekend. Lemme tell you, I prefer "naked cupcakes" so I always wipe off the frosting and only eat the cake, and man, that pumpkin cake was DELICIOUS! I love anything pumpkin, so it was already a great selection in my book, but taste and consistency of the cupcake (soft, moist not dry, not too sweet, distinct pumpkin flavor) made it a winner. Their red velvet cupcake was a little more on the "crumbly" or dry side but the flavor was there. Not a huge fan of macarons but I've nibbled on a few from SWEET before. So far, I'd have to say that their coffee/espresso macaron and lavender macarons aren't too shabby. My only complaint is that their couch is really dirty and stained. If you're gonna have patrons enjoy tasty/cute sweets inside the bakery, I'd suggest replacing the couch or add a few more tables indoors just to make it a little more eye-pleasing. Typically, we enjoy our sweets in the outdoor seating area. This place is definitely A-OK. read more

This is a cute little shop suitable for city centre. I've only had their macarons, which are kind of pricey, but typical for Houston. If you manage to be in the area on a "National Macaron Day," (there seems to be like 5 within a year...) you should definitely go grab some! I came yesterday (03/20) for $1 macarons. My favorites are earl grey, honey lavender, creme brulee, and tiramisu. The macarons were pretty good, not too crumbly. I recommend the honey lavender if you like floral flavors! However, if the macarons weren't $1 (or an extra dollar for the fancier flavors), I wouldn't come back. read more

So when we first moved to Houston I came to Sweet for some macs, they were delicious but the service wasn't that great. The person who helped us didn't care to do any recommendations or offer any help. Macs were delicious though!! Fast forward to May 2016, and I entered a contest on Instagram just for fun, and to my surprise I won! I completely was blown away, granted it was stormy outside. Lol. When I came into sweet, it was warm, decor was so cute, and the gentlemen that helped me out was awesome. He definitely changed my mind about the place! As far as the cake taste was concerned, it was a awesome treat because, it was actually my birthday the next day! Cake was moist and the vanilla bean was so good I made everyone eat what they could!! Great lattes. The baristas are really nice here, and one of them took the time to give me me a quick latte art tutorial. The store is whimsically decorated in neutral colors and mixed textures with lots of twinkle lights. It makes their beautiful desserts really stand out. What attracted me to go in was the macaroon tree calling to me from the display case. Colors of lime green, pink, chocolate, and yellow were drawing me in. I ordered 8.. a variety of coffee, pistachio, lemon and chocolate. (They were out of strawberry..boo!). At $1.50 each these better be good. All I have to say is YUM! Light, fluffy and full of flavor. I don't know which one I liked best. Coffee was pretty good, but so was pistachio. I would definitely recommend trying the macaroons.. why it lacks 1 star? The price. Absolutely delicious macarons with so-so cupcakes (Nutella one's not bad). They serve a lot of other macaron flavors that aren't listed on their website, but unfortunately there's no set schedule for what days they're available...just whenever the chef decides to make them. On the up side, you can special order them, with a minimum. My favorites so far are green tea, lavender, and rose. Vanilla and chocolate are both a bit sweet for my taste; lychee doesn't really taste like lychee; pistachio, almond, and espresso are all worth trying out. I have only been here once. This is a great location. Tons of things to do around here. I came here after eating with a couple of friends. I tried their mini key lime pie which was a little overpriced. I loved it though. It was perfect portion for someone like me who doesn't like too much sweets. The lemon filling was tart and slightly sweet. It had good texture. I also had their milk tea. It doesn't really have that much flavor; I got the lemon blueberry cupcake, because the cashier recommended it. The icing is just way too sweet. The cake was A-OK. I think this place is a 2 1/2 stars. I rounded down because only 1 out of the 3 things I ordered turned out as good as I was hoping. read more

Nothing special really. I recently tried their macaroons and was beyond disappointed. Seems as though the creme they use to join the two sides, is the same in every flavor you get.Part of the macaroon flavor is the creme in the middle. Rose, lavender, pistacchio, almond...... Whatever the flavor the creme is the same, it's like vanilla or chocolate frosting. C'mon SWEET, get it right. The creme is wherethe flavor should be as well. read more

I used to love their macarons, but lately they've been a hit or miss. Sometimes the macaron shells are hard and have air bubbles in them, but usually, they taste amazing! Also, there are a bunch of delicious flavors, with rose being my favorite! Their macaron ice cream sandwiches are pretty good too! The cakes are not fresh and i was told because I came a day later to pick up the Oreo cookie cake that this is the reason why it became stale. The Oreos on the cake itself was stale as well. This place use to have quality cupcakes ect. But I am not sure why the quality became compromised. There r better cupcakes that are fresh in the community besides these folks . They have the moistest cupcakes when compared to their competitors. My favorite is the Orange Blossom along with their milk tea. Sweet is such a cute shop! I wish it wasn't tucked away though, if you're not looking carefully it's easy to miss. I was on a quest to try my first macaron here and I am not disappointed. The macarons are delicous. They are tinier than expected, but still good. I came here with a couple guy friends, one of which is named Edwin and lo & behold they had a drink named "Edwin." My boyfriend got the drink hoping it would taste like crap, but surprisingly it became one of the best black teas he's ever had. Oh and with an added bonus to that if you want tapioca with the drink just say, "Can I have an Edwin with added swag?" I thought it was very creative to put that on the owner's part hehe. After hitting up Strait's in City Centre, we decided to find something to fix our sweet tooth. It was either fro-yo or this. I'm SO glad we chose this. Cupcakes galore and macaroons in several flavors. It was so hard to decide what to get! I was debating between the Salted Caramel Cupcake, Lemon Blueberry, and Strawberry on Chocolate. Since I did just finish a pint of strawberry ice cream (by myself) earlier this week, the only obvious choice was the Strawberry Cupcake! My friend got a few macaroons - the Pistachio and Chocolate. It was love at first bite. Disclaimer: I'm slightly obsessed with cupcakes. Crave and Sprinkles are important parts of my life. SWEET just added itself to the family. I always like to try the frosting and cake separately and then together in one bite. The chocolate cake was moist and just perfect. The strawberry icing - AMAZING . It wasn't too sweet and tasted just like my beloved fresh strawberry ice cream. Tasting the two flavors together blew my mind. The cupcakes run $3 each which is reasonable. The place was very small and had lines waiting. Luckily they had a separate line for those who wanted to buy macarons. Well, I pretty much tried EVERY flavor except peppermint, pistachio, and coconut. 20 pieces for about $48 bucks. The flavor that stood out the most was Vanilla bean but the rest was simply okay. Majority of the texture of their macarons were chewy and the filling wasn't at all fluffy. I was very disappointed. Not really a place I will be back for a macaron. read more
