True Kona coffee is only grown on the slopes of Hualālai and Mauna Loa volcanoes. We had been told to check out Kona Coffee Purveyors at International Marketplace by a good handful of Honolulu friends and I'm glad I heeded their advice. The best coffee on our trip was had here and I wish I had more time to grab another cuppa! I ordered a black sesame latte for myself, shared an affogato, and tried a Konawaena pour over (Kiwae honey, roasted macadamia, and milk chocolate) pourover. The latte was sip after sip of balanced coffee with a hint of black sesame. The pour over is where you truly get the caffeine. As for the affogato, easily the best affogato had on the trip (and I had plenty~). I highly recommend Kona Coffee Purveyors if you're in the Waikiki area. Once you sign, they go over a list of rules that are to be followed or they will ask you to leave. They also have merch at the front. Once they do that, they gave us a key for our locker to put away our belongings and a buzzer for when our time is up. Entry also came with complimentary drink tickets! We bought the parfait and dry food to feed the cats, not all cats are able to eat the dry treats so you have to be careful. The cats were so cute, they were sleepy and taking cat naps, did not play too much. However, I found myself playing with one that was inside a tent and ran my nails on the outside and they were interacting by pawing from their side. Their honey matcha latte is seriously amazing, one of the best matchas I've had and it's so cheap. Best customer service ever too. I feel really bad, but I accidentally knocked over their table with my whole matcha spilling on their rug.
