Wanted to place an order on Ubereats, but they didn't have any macarons on there. I called the store to see if I could place the Ubereats order and also place an order on their website for the macarons. And have the macarons included in the Ubereats bag, but for some reason they are not able to just put the macarons in the bag. Decided to not place the Ubereats order all together.

La Tour Cafe in Ward, which was formerly just their Planted cafe, offers a delicious array of cafe items, many of which are still plant-based! I visit somewhat often for their drinks, particularly the Mint Water (minty and slightly sweetened) and Paradise Tea (similar to a plantation iced tea). I've tried their plant-based macarons and kouign-amann as well, and both are delicious but slightly pricey. The price is reasonable though, considering they are made of vegan ingredients and are almost exact replicas of their non-vegan counterparts, so I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a plant-based treat! I stopped by for lunch for the first time, and I wish I had tried it sooner! I was so impressed by their Wagyu Pho-ggie, a unique and absolutely genius creation combining pho flavors into a sandwich. The beef was so tender and perfectly marinated, and the sauce was also very flavorful with a bit of spice. And of course, their bread is as soft and delicious as you'd expect from La Tour. Before you think this seems expensive at $21, note that each half of the sandwich is actually quite large--I shared the meal with someone else, and it was more than enough for both of us. We ordered online but ended up dining at one of the few tables in the cafe. I love that there's options for seating both indoors and outdoors, as the surrounding area is nice and clean! Can't wait to go back and try more lunch items!

This is now a regular La Tour Cafe since my review, and introduced a wider variety of options supported by La Tour's larger menu. If you're vegan or vegetarian, this will still be a great stop, and includes many options for you omnivore friends as well. Most importantly, the food is still delicious!

Staff friendly and helpful! Lots of free parking available close to the store. Indoor and outdoor seating available! My favorites are always the garlic fries that come out hot and tasty and the kouign amans! They have a variety of flavors like original, maple and apple! These are SO good but best if you take it home and toast it :) Oh and delicious drinks like teas, lemonade, and coffees! Must try!

This was my first time coming here! I always saw it in passing when walking around my coworking space so I decided to finally try it! There were so many things on the menu I was so curious about such as their planted burger, falafel banh mi, etc. BUT they also have specials so once I saw the specials, I had to re-think what I was going to get. I ended up getting the falafel banh mi! It was good BUT they had a watercress and tofu banh mi special and my friend and I split half and half so I liked that even better! Atmosphere - Well lit and the color scheme is nice and neutral. They have only like 2 or 3 tables inside so it can get full fast but they do have outdoor seating which is nice. We sat outside because it was a nice day and there was a nice breeze so it wasn't too hot. Also there's always dogs passing by so that was fun! Service - They are friendly and patient as my friends and I were so indecisive for a bit. They answered all our questions about the food as well. Cost - Ranges if you get a drink and/or food, $5 - $20. In addition to food, they have pastries (like the kouign-amann and canelé - they have different flavored canelé and they're so cute. They are really bite size so keep that in mind.) Parking - Street parking or park in the Whole Foods structure or the parking structure across from Whole Foods where the movie theatre is. Location - It's next to Whole Foods, on the same side as Holey Grail. I definitely want to come here again to try their other foods especially the planted burger and whatever specials they end up having.

I got a plant based smash burger and my friend got a plant-based chicken salad. Good food at reasonable prices. I like that they have something for everyone both vegan or not. Cute little café space to catch up with friends. I didn't get their fries today, but those also go really good with the burger. I like the sauce. Service is friendly and fast.

The Turkey and Sun-dried Tomato Panini for $14.99 is not good!! The sun-dried tomato is a speck of a sauce ... I asked the cashier if they forgot the tomatoes ... He says , no, here is the sauce .... Uhhhh.. and made me feel like I did something wrong by asking the question... You know when they all start talking...and looking at you... Here's some pics...

My friends picked up some burgers, fries, pastries, and drinks from here. It was my first time to try out the food here and it was amazing. The double burger was filling and didn't leave me feeling bloated at all. The fries were flavorful (I think it was the truffle fries). I had the lihing lemonade, which was refreshing. We also had the kougiman. I can't remember which one I ate, but I remember the flavor and it was delicious! I'm planning to go there soon for lunch and I can't wait!

I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, but what a great spot to try out that type of food!! The location is great with parking just a block over at Whole Foods and it's always a great time to walk in the Ward area. When you walk in, the staff is friendly and informative, and the inside boasts a clean and fresh feeling. The food adds to that as it tastes great but you don't feel like you're about to go into hibernation. A much appreciated option for a quick vegetarian fix.

Refreshing drink in Honolulu, Hawaii... We were between lunch and dinner and noticed that we hadn't gone to Planted by La Tour Cafe... yet... Located at Ward Village, we found free shared parking and walked over. It happened to be Happy Hour where customers get a free canele with ppurchase of a large drink! Yippee! I got a Li hing Lemonade and a chocolate candle. Yay! It was just right! Now that I know where this cozy takeout place, I will be back! Support a local plant-based restaurant!

Mint water, shockingly really good and flavorful!

Great food at a pretty good price! We've been meaning to try this place for a while but haven't because parking is hard, but we were finally in the area. I got the fried green tomato sandwich which was very filling despite the deceivingly thin look. We also got a li hing lemonade which was exactly as described and delicious, and a mint water, which was the sleeper hit! It had a very strong flavor of mint herbs and tasted much better than the swampy look made it seem. I don't think i would make a special trip or fight the ward parking to come here, but if Im already in the area I'll be back!

No, I am not Vegan or ... or ... All I wanted was 2 6 pk boxes on assorted macarons but I wanted them early. The LA Tour (Nimtz) just happened to open its doors later than I expected. So, I ended up at Planted. (Kudos to Irene M for her review= jogged my memory to check on Planted's schedule) I head to Planted and what a pleasant surprise. It was Sunday morning early (like 9 am) and the staffer (I failed to get his name) introduced me not only to the gluten free macarons but the menu which addressed Vegan and Pescatarian I think. He also tells me that since they opened, they have at least 50 people who are "regulars" on their way to/from their work daily. Who knew? I've not tried any of their food offerings so I can't comment. I will say that I will head back there SOON (I can walk over from my office) to give their salads a try. Fun Fact- Prices posted for the meals are reasonable. The macarons price out @ $3.50 each and no discount for the Baker's Dozen concept. So bottom line is I have been and continue to live under a rock. But I am learning.... slowly but surely

If you have your doubts about this place because it's plant based, don't! Everything is delicious! And this is coming from someone who loves meat. Their sandwiches are delicious and their umami broth soup is extra savory with extra umami! Their desserts are also really good it tastes sinful! They also have drinks which are so tasty and refreshing! They're located on Ward by Whole Foods and the movie theater with plenty of parking across the street. Check them out because you won't regret it!

The service wasn't great, but not rude; they take your order and they bring you the food; no pleasantries or small talks, I guess they need to turn the tables (counter seats) quickly. We had the loco moco with fried rice and hamburger steak with multi-grain rice and toss salad; they didn't offer a choice of dressing, but the default asian dressing was delicious. The food was good with very big portions; I had a hard time finishing my loco moco. They served it with lots of yummy brown gravy, the way it should be. My wife enjoyed her hamburger steak as well.
