P.s Alexander's customer service isn't very good. Even though I put 4 stars he took it upon himself to send me an almost condescending text. 4 stars is very good considering the amount I overpaid for supplies. Yes you should get the best deals for your customers. Also messaging me after business hours very unprofessional.

I needed diagnostics and repair, and while they sell genuine Broilmaster parts, they don't really perform that type of repair work themselves. Here's where they earned a customer for life. Instead of trying to sell me a new grill--or worse, pretending they could do something they couldn't--they recommended a local technician who regularly purchases Broilmaster parts from them. That technician drove over an hour to diagnose and rebuild my grill, using only factory-authorized Broilmaster parts purchased from Fireplace & BBQ's. The result? My old Broilmaster now looks and performs like it just rolled off the showroom floor. I'm convinced it'll probably outlive me. Could I have gone to a big-box store and bought a shiny new aluminum grill? Sure. That's exactly what one store recommended. But anyone who knows grills knows many of those are designed to be replaced every few years. My Broilmaster was built to last generations, and now it probably will. The best part of this story is that Fireplace & BBQ's didn't have to recommend someone else. They could have simply said, "Sorry, we don't do that." Instead, they pointed me to the right person, and in the end they still earned the parts business because I insisted my technician buy only genuine manufacturer-authorized parts from them. That's how great businesses operate. They put the customer first, earn trust instead of demanding it, and understand that doing the right thing almost always comes back around. Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

From the very beginning they rush you, make you sign something to only work with them (sketchy, red flag) and then they do mediocre work. They're going to take advantage of you and your home when you're in an emergency type situation. As immoral as they come. They messed up my bathroom tile, then made me feel bad when I asked them to do it right. As if I was asking too much when they didn't do it right in the first place? They also installed a random circular silver drain in the shower, when I asked for and ordered a square gold drain. Hello? The owner, Michael, simply chalked it up to "hiring workers that don't speak English." If that doesn't tell you all you need to know... The attention to detail and doing a decent, not even good, job is just not there. They didn't finish caulking behind the toilet or on top of the counter. They scratched the paint off of 3 doors, and refused to compensate or correct. They got dirt all over the walls and even got paint on my front door and hallway tile. They littered cigarette butts and a giant sponge (???) in my front yard. They left an entire garbage can of trash in my front yard. They even messed up my garage door, when that is an area of the house they were NOT authorized to do ANY work in. Who knows where else they were messing around while I wasn't home? When I asked them to remove the master toilet, I specifically and repeatedly asked them to cover the hole in the ground. When I arrived home two days later, I walked in to find the sewage hole completely gaping open, releasing toxic sewage fumes into my home and bedroom. Unbelievably thoughtless, careless, and downright hazardous/dangerous. They started trying to charge us hundreds of dollars at the end for things we already discussed, and then when we tried to talk to the owner, he basically said he'd just hand us over to his lawyer. He knows he is taking advantage of us, so he didn't want to discuss the money details with us. You can see in the attached videos/photos that they also threaten to take legal action against us, should we post an honest review. They don't have any basis to do so, but just want to scare customers into silence. That's why they don't have any other bad reviews on here. It's too late for me, but please, save yourself. Find another company.

Once it was removed, I planned to install our new kitchen faucet myself, but quickly realized the space was so tight that I couldn't get the old fixture off. I called again the next day, and Vlad came out that morning and installed the new faucet for us. Then, later that same evening, I accidentally broke the cartridge while trying to install a new shower handle. We suddenly couldn't turn the water back on to the entire house. Even though Vlad had already worked a full day, he came by after his last job to help us figure out a way to at least get our water back on. What impressed me most was that he didn't just look for a quick temporary fix. He took his time, worked through the problem, and ultimately ended up fixing the shower handle and getting everything working properly. Vlad is knowledgeable, resourceful, patient, and genuinely cares about finding the right solution rather than just putting a bandage on a problem. After moving into a new home and tackling a seemingly endless list of projects, finding someone this dependable has been incredibly valuable. We'll absolutely be calling Vlad again for future projects and would highly recommend him.

Top Notch all the way! And, for a reasonable price! We had a leak...initially thought it was our roof, but our roofer determined it was actually our chimney. We got 2 quotes, both roughly the same price, but Sweeps and Ladders' bid seemed to include more work. They checked our other chimneys as well and made minor repairs that were needed. Paul took the time to review his bid, in detail, over the phone with my husband and answered all of his questions. Their schedule was busy, but he got us on his calendar and even reached out to ask if we wanted an earlier appointment when one freed up! Paul communicated the day prior when to expect him, called that morning when he hit traffic, and went over all that was to be done when he arrived. He showed me the chimney cap that was to be installed and brought the color to my attention...it was black...the color all of our caps originally. But they had all weathered to gray, which blends much better with our roof. No problem, he said. I will spray paint them all gray! Once the work was complete, Paul checked in and sent pics of the completed job. Definitely recommend and will use them again, should the need arise!! read more

I scheduled a tech to come out. Jay came out on time and even called 30 minutes ahead of time to let me know he was coming. He was very nice and very knowledgeable. He gave me a quote for everything I wanted and for a very reasonable price. I scheduled them to come out and do the work. The crew did the work quickly and professionally. It looks amazing! I contacted no less than a dozen roofer/chimney companies to find some who could help me with a water leak in and around my chimney. One guy came and he caulked and caulked until his arm almost fell off. Then I found Sweeps N Ladders, studied their reviews and decided to give them a call. I knew I found the right company this time just by the way they handled the phone call.....so service oriented from day one. They were cordial, timely and accurate in their inspection and solution. I was very pleased with the work Nick did today!! We bought our home during the summer and the home inspector cited some creosote build-up in his report, we wanted to make sure and have it properly cleaned before throwing any logs in there this winter. Nick came into my home and assessed what needed to be done to get my fireplace working. He was very knowledgeable and explained what was needed. We had Sweeps and Ladders come to fix our chimney because roofers told us that our chimney required rebuilding, to stop our leaks into our home. Sweeps came and found the problem was not our chimney but our flashing. They fixed it and we have had no further problems! 600$ vs 3800$ was a huge difference and I am grateful!
