Was recommended by a friend for parts for my fireplace. They had to order the part. $531.50. Installed part and did not work because of my installation. Would not exchange so looked elsewhere for same part. Purchased same part at Supplyhouse for $162. Called Firehouse to see if they had someone to install part and mentioned the huge mark-up. I've been searching for a natural gas quick connect for a recently purchased second hand Blackstone griddle. None of the hardware stores or big box stores carry them. I was helped right away, and even though they don't sell them separately, they were able to find a used one in the back. I appreciate them not telling me to buy the entire kit (hose and quick connect) which would have cost much more than the used discounted part. Do not use this company! We ordered a fireplace almost 2 years ago now. Needless to say, we still do not have a working fireplace. My wife and I have had to initiate all of the phone calls to this establishment. They have now come out three different times with no solution. they provided us with a natural gas fireplace. We repeatedly told them it is a propane hook up. After numerous failed conversions and almost causing my house to catch fire, we still do not have a working fireplace. Today is the second time I've attempted to come here and shop. Both times I've come, there are two or more individuals talking to one customer, and they won't even so much as acknowledge that I have walked in the building. Today I came in to buy doors and drawers because my outdoor barbecue is being built next week, I walked in and ready to spend, and couldn't even get a hello. There is a basic level of respect that you show a customer when he walks into your building, they have blown it twice. I walked in because they are local, I will now drive 5 miles down the road to buy my things elsewhere. I will never walk into this building again. Major disappointment. read more

We were expecting out of town company and wanted to purchase gas logs to fill our empty fireplace. Dave was very nice on the phone and went out of his way to get white birch logs from the warehouse and I was able to pick them up the same day. However, they fail miserably in greeting the customer once you enter the store. There wasn't anyone in sight and no verbal greeting even tho they had to know we were there. We had to make our way to the back of the store to find anyone. It turns out that Dave was in the back office both times and didn't come out until the cashier, who was behind a counter, went and got him. At 1:00 pm, our receipt indicated we were only the second transaction of the day. I'll be surprised if this place is still in business a year from now, which is sad because they have some nice items in the store. read more

In and out of the store in less than 30 min. Paid for install, they were available next day and very clean and professional. The owner, Dave, was very helpful in helping us find a fireplace insert, when his competitors just down I-75 a bit said there are not any that will fit your fireplace. Happily, we purchased a unit. The installation date was later confirmed. The installers were fantastic. They did a great job! However, an essential part was not loaded for the installation to be complete. We were told that they would be back in a couple of weeks to complete the installation. Nobody has called, when we call we get told someone will call when they are in the area working and will come by, and if all else fails, Dave will come himself. None of that has happened, and a month later we're still waiting, and getting anyone on the phone has become a challenge. Would it be too much to expect to schedule a second appointment to finish the work? Instead, as it stands, the job will be finished when it's convenient for them. Winter is coming any day now, and we planned for this to be installed in time to use on the cold days and were very excited to have this installed. Now, if only it were fully functional. The Firehouse has great products and knowledgeable people, customer service you're looking to find....forget about it!! read more

Had callout diagnostic to replace valve on a fireplace. Service person 'fixed' the valve saying it might work one day or one year. It only worked that one day. On contacting the company afterward no one was willing to call me back to arrange to repair it. Now if I go to a different company, I'll have to pay for another callout diagnostic plus the replacement. Why wouldn't it be in Firehouse's interest to repair my valve? Strange. read more

Had an appt for install, I called when they were 30 min late to find they hadn't given the appt to anyone for that day. Have been waiting now for 2 months for a grate they said would take 3 weeks. Absolutely terrible customer service. Called Firehouse out to service a fireplace that had a leaky pilot tube. It has been 3 weeks and they have been out 4 times without being able to either assess the issue without my input, or actually fix the problem. They've told me that they had a part in stock, then that they had to order the part. Never have they called me to update anything, I have had to initiate the call EVERY TIME. Do not use this company for service on your gas fireplace. In fact, the first service person that came to check out the fireplace checked for a gas leak by igniting a BIC lighter around the tube. I guess we should have known better at that time. read more

Amazing is all I can say David and his daughter ( so cute) came out and delivered me a new grill and have had it for 9 years now and love it , works like its brand new amazing food and I can cook eggs and bake on it too ! Very poor customer service. We purchased a fireplace from them and they recommended a contractor who was awful and never showed up. Finally we found our own and had a wonderful fireplace built. The unit looks terrific with one problem - the flame adjustment knob does not work and we cannot control the flame height. After calling twice over two weeks and asking for assistance we finally went into the store to ask what was happening. They gave us some feeble explanation that they had problems with their phones and they had called the manufacturer twice and they never called back. You could tell we caught them off guard by going into the store. Terrible service all round. If you buy from them you are on your own - better have a good GC lined up. read more

My husband and I walked in this Wednesday intending to buy some gas logs for our fireplace. We were greeted immediately and once we indicated what we needed, we were taken to a beautiful wall full of set up gas log displays, with some even functioning in fireplaces. We decided to go with a wood oak look. The price was decent for the quality, and, since we didn't want to ruin anything with installation ourselves, we asked the business to come out and install the logs, just to make sure everything was done correctly. They were able to install Thursday (the next day)! Bill met my husband on time out our house and got our fireplace set up and working beautifully. We are so impressed that we will be taking my husband's mother here this afternoon so that she can also pick out some new logs for her fireplace. These guys were awesome, start to finish, and since they sell all kinds of accessories, parts, and grills, I'm planning on being a repeat customer. read more

I used the Firehouse to service/start the pilot light on my gas logs. I was able to quickly get a service appointment when I called. Rafael came out for the service call and he was very nice, efficient, and professional. He quickly got a tricky pilot flame and remote control working. He offered suggestions for placement of some of the log pieces and embers and he was absolutely correct. His suggestions made the fire much more attractive.
