The guys who came on site to actually finally do the repairs were fine, although they did track debris around.. but the scheduling guy was beyond rude. They always tried to contact us at the literal last second before someone showed up. We had the service through our home warranty company, so I imagine they treat warranty customers worse. Do not recommend this place!!! My warranty company used this business to fix my dishwasher. The repair man originally ordered the wrong part (a motor) leaving our dishwasher out of order for over three months. On top of that, our kitchen just recently flooded from our dishwasher. We open it up to take out the parts and low and behold the repair man used BLACK ELECTRICAL TAPE to hold a part together instead of replacing it. This tape clogged the drain and flooded the kitchen. They refuse to fix this crappy and quick work, and referred us back to our warranty company. This place is a scam! read more

We had them come out to look at our oven that isn't igniting.. they showed up looked at our oven and 30 min later said they'd have to find parts for it and get our quote. that was the last we heard from them. we waited a few days we called no answer no call back. Called them 3 times that week and nothing. They made sure we paid the $75 service fee for showing up..I hope it was worth my money because we are going with a company to repair our oven. What started well, ended with no response. We hired Mike to fix our washing machine - he came, diagnosed it and fixed the issue. Or so we thought. After he left, we ran the machine, and it started flooding. All the water ran out of the machine. He came back - and said he wasn't sure what happened but might have been one of two problems. One was repairable, the other was not. Keep in mind this was a new issue as it was not leaking before he worked on it. He then said he had to talk to someone else on "his team" to diagnose and would get back to us. A day passed, no info. We texted - no response. A week later, no response. Waring long text because i want to be detailed as possible... This company is not trustworthy. I called for a repair to my samsung washer on September 26th. A technician name Kiro came and was here for 5 mins and said my entire board was out and that it's a very expensive repair. So after he couldn't sale me on that he then went to do test on the washer mind you using the same board he said was out but was actually working. Kiro then proceeded to act as if he was running a full diagnostic said it was the drain pump. Honestly based off the problems im having with water not filling or draining that's believable. He never showed me where the pump was bad never seen him take the washer apart I just assumed once he did the repair remove the old one replace the new one he could then show me exactly what was fixed and the initial problem. He quoted me a price with Parts, tax & labor to be $387-$75 service fee it would be $312. The part was $222. $165 labor. So i asked if i were to get the part will they still do the Labor and would the service fee still be deducted. He said yes but there's no warranty on the part if I got it. No problem... My husband ordered the part for $69 from Shopjimmy.com(very fast reliable service). I call them back to schedule for the labor and was given the run around about the price i was given by Kiro. So i sent the entire text with the prices i was given from Kiro to Mike and politely said if you can't honor what i was told it's fine I will have it done elsewhere he then said let me talk to my tech and call you back. When he called he said a technician would be to my home he shows up around 2:20. I have all time stamps to prove with my ring. By 2:40 he says I have good news. I fixed your washer. SHOCKED he changed a drain pump that quick but ok... I proceed through my laundry room and see the new pump still in the packaging so I asked what was the problem he said I was able to fix your old pump. It was 2 coins(dime &penny stuck inside of it. I said well to me it would've seemed when Kiro came and looked at it he would've checked for blockage at that time but nonetheless i'd assume he would've then shown me mam here's your problem this was stuck causing a blockage i'm going to put it back on you don't need to replace the pump. But he couldn't do that because he never ever open my washer or took any old pump or anything off or out of it. He told me my washer was fixed with out even running a cycle. So i asked how do you know if it's fixed if you didn't even run a cycle I then proceed to run a cycle and of course no water is coming out same problem. So he then tells me well maybe it's something else. I go out to call my husband he tells me oh the water wasn't on. We've never turn the water off so when the first tech came Kiro he must've of turn the water off. But not only did he turn the water on he broke the valve used to turn it on and off. After water was supposedly turned on and a cycle was started water started to fill up but then shortly after the same code came back my washer isn't draining (the new pump is still in the box). If they didn't wanna do the repair for the discounted price i wish they just wouldn't of came because not only is my washer still not working properly but now valve to turn the hot water is broken. He knew he did something leaving so fast he didn't even clap the hoses back together. Called Mary's Appliance based on Yelp reviews. - Answered the phone promptly. - Fit me in with 24 hours - Diagnosed quickly and provided an estimate that was comparable to what I was expecting from internet searches. - Reasonable diagnostic fee that applied towards final repairs - Shared other random appliance related advice like buying leak detectors from Amazon and how to best prevent the slime build up you get in front load washers - Genuinely a nice guy and I felt 100% safe being in my house with him - Weeks later and everything is working just like it should be. There are some "different" things about working with Mike. It appears to just be him, so everything is handled a little loosely. Most communications are through text. I did most of the following up since we had to wait to order parts. He answers the phone "appliance repair" so I had to confirm I was speaking with Mary's. Preferred to be paid with a check. None of this was a deal breaker - just not my usual experience. I would absolutely use Mary's Appliance again. Mike nicely asked me if he could put a sticker with his information on my dryer. The dreaded time finally came when our beautiful GE Monogram Built in Refrigerator started failing. We looked one day and the entire refrigerator side was frozen as if it were a freezer. I'm freaked out since a replacement refrigerator of this type is over 10k!!! We immediately find a local technician to come take a look and he tells us the issue can easily be remedied. He comes out and take the entire back of fridge off and replaces a damper. He seemed a little confused and tells me this is his first GE Monogram. After a couple hours he tells us its fixed, we pay him and we're done. NOT. The problem still exists and now we have new food that is frozen once again. The guy comes back two more times over the course of three weeks, replaces more parts, costs more money, but cannot fix the issue, then he goes zero dark thirty on us. Now we've payed money for repairs that didn't take and still have frozen apples. We call Mary's Appliance Mike from Mary's Appliance is out the next day. He assures us he is very much into getting the issue resolved for the least amount of money, and getting the issue resolved correctly. After examining the issue, he tells us he needs to order parts. I'll be honest, we're not super confident since our last experience was sour. We are going on a MONTH with no fridge!! A few days later the part comes in, Mike comes out and before installing the part, he takes the inside of our refrigerator apart and looks into parts I didn't know existed in our fridge. He explains that he wants to make sure its done right, and since someone else already came out, he had to make sure everything was correct and double check that what he thought was the problem is correct. For some reason I felt at ease, his confidence made me realize he was a professional and good at what he does. I left the room and went back to my office to continue working from home. He calls me in the kitchen around 20 minutes later and tells me "it's fixed". I'm thinking "ummm no it's not, not that fast". He shows me a damper on the bottom that doesn't work, he has me put my hand in front of it to show there's no air. I'm thinking "oh great, you have to order another part", he says "this is the part I ordered, I wanted to show you what was wrong". He puts it back together and we pay him. He leaves and I for some reason feel confident in his ability, I feel like this is finally it. I was right. I wake us this morning to a perfectly good working refrigerator, AND IT DIDN'T COST AN ARM AND A LEG!! Bravo Mary's Appliance, I'm super appreciative that you took the time to investigate our issue and resolved our problem under the scrutiny of my nagging and complaining. YOU ARE A CLASS ACT! My Whirlpool dryer was acting up, not heating properly, and starting to squeal while spinning, even though it is only 4 years old. The technicians from Mary's Appliance were at my home the very same day, found several issues, and addressed them at a very reasonable cost. They were very friendly and thorough, and found a lot of little toys and small debris from pants pockets inside the unit and helped clean that out as well even though that wasn't the specific issue they were fixing. If you're looking for a service in the north Dallas area, this is not it. I got quotes from many and went with Mary's because they did not state a service fee. In the end they charged us $75 without fixing anything because it ended up being a switch that wasn't turned on. The serviceman was quite rude when we were explaining the confusion on our end. They did have a 1 month return guarantee if anything was broken so that's where they earned their stars back. I don't mind paying a travel cost, but they need to be upfront about their services. read more

Beware who you let into your home! This is NOT a legitimate service! This service is most definitely a scam... First of all there is no "Mary" there is a guy who goes by the name of "Mike" whose real name is Medhat. They don't take credit cards and they'll ask you to Venmo or Zelle said person. They don't know what they're doing and they won't return to finish their work, not that you would want them to. Also, when you call to follow up and ask "Mike" when is he coming back he's "sick".... Our refrigerator broke down immediately after the "repair" but no sign of "mike" DO NOT HIRE "Mike" it's a SCAM! This repair service is run by scammers! Awful experience. I hired him to fix our washing machine. He identified a broken drain pump as the problem and ordered the part. He assured me that it is better to fix ($328) than replace and told me he'd call me when he received the part. After hearing nothing for 3 days I called him and he said he received the part and would come over to take care of it. No time was given. At 5:00pm the following day I texted him if he was going to come fix the washing machine. He showed up at 7:15pm on a Friday and fixed the washing machine. I thought all was well and this would be good enough. 3 days later when I ran a load of laundry, my dryer had a short and almost started an electrical fire. It was honestly pretty frightening. When I called Mike and told him about the problem he said he would come over and take a look. Again, after hearing nothing further from him, I had to text him at 5:00pm the following day to ask if he was ever going to come and look at it. He replied yes and again showed up at around 7:00pm. This time it was the dryer's computer board that had an electrical short. The board is discontinued so it could not be repaired. I would have to buy a new dryer and pay him $80 for diagnosing the problem. I told him that I found it very odd that my dryer had a short on the very next load after he fixed my washer. He said it had nothing to do with his repair on my washer and was purely a coincidence. He told me he would call a buddy who sometimes has discontinued parts and let me know that night or the following day at the latest. I have never heard from Mike again... It seems highly unlikely that both appliances would die within 1 load of each other for entirely separate reasons. I think he jostled my dryer during the repair and created the short, endangering my house/family and forcing me to buy a new dryer. I ended up paying $408 dollars and endangering my house/family in the end. I wish I would have just gone and bought a new washer and dryer in the beginning, but Mike assured me it is better to keep my used ones since older ones are "higher quality". My advice would be try someone else if you really need an appliance repaired. Mike may mean well, but he isn't as honest as he could be and won't take responsibility if something goes wrong. read more

I have a 15-year-old refrigerator acting strange. I contacted several companies through Yelp. Mary's was the first to respond, within 30 minutes of requesting quotes. We arranged a date/time and the tech showed up on time. However, he was not very friendly at all, which in and of itself is not a deal-breaker, but certainly didn't help. He diagnosed my problem as needing a "new computer." I said ok and asked him approximately how much he thought it would cost, but he would not give me a cost range. He said he had to order the part and that he would call to tell me how long it would take and how much it would cost. In the meantime, he charged me the service charge and left. That was 3 weeks ago and I have heard nothing since. Since he ghosted me, I had another company come out. They told me it *maybe* was the electronics but that he couldn't guarantee that it would fix it. He also checked on the spot for the parts and said that they were unavailable and that the other guy (Mary's) should have been able to tell me that right away.
