Bert has repaired roofs for me twice on two different properties. but this time (August 2019) causes me concern. John Bert came out personally, is knowledgeable, made several recommendations and within 2 days emailed me a quote. As this is not an insurance claim, i contacted John asking for quotes on various possible options. 2 weeks passed with no response, so i again contacted John. he remembered my queries and said he's get right back to me. another 2 weeks and still no response. Just like most homeowners in our area, our roof had a ton of damage from a hail storm. I did quite a bit of research and decided to speak with Bert roofing. While it took some time and a few follow up calls to schedule an appointment, we are happy that we patiently waited. John came out and gave us an incredibly detailed estimate and spelled out everything that would be replaced. We were able to compare his estimate to our insurance information as to what they were going to pay to have replaced. He spoke with me in detail about what materials would be used. Bert Roofing was thoughtful to so many factors, such as NOT roofing during a rainstorm and NOT roofing our steep slopes during high heat, both of which can impact the end result. John also helped us in finding an incredible company to take care of our fence, which needed repairs from the same storm. He went above and beyond on several occasions for us. We did have one small glitch. The supply company delivered the wrong shingles, as we had requested a class 4 shingle and a regular shingle arrived. John stopped everything and delivered as many shingles as he could himself and was on top of the supply company to get the rest of the correct shingles delivered quickly. He handled the situation quickly and professionally. We couldn't have asked for a better recovery. The workers who replaced our roof were all polite and thoughtful. They even used a huge magnet on wheels to sweep any stray nails out of our yard. We found the on site supervisor to be easy to speak with. Before finding Bert Roofing, we had several storm chasers stop by. Our experiences with them were quite different. Estimate?? No...whatever your insurance says is what it will cost. Products?? Whatever shows up. Deductible??? Oh, let's make a deal. No thank you to all of it. Our roof was a huge investment. We wanted it to be done right with the right materials without cheating anyone...especially ourselves - because if you decide to go with a company like that, you will be cheating yourself at the end of the day. They will take shortcuts, use inferior products, work when they really shouldn't, and there is no recourse because you made a deal. I have seen this happen to several of my friends. I am personally thankful to have found Bert Roofing. Our roof looks great, we know quality products were used, the work was done by an experienced company that has been around for a long time, we felt the pricing was right, and we are looking forward to having it last a very long time. I requested an appointment to get an estimate for a leak in my roof through company's web site on October 20. I received an email that someone would contact me, but that it may be a couple of weeks as they were very busy. I wasn't in any hurry so I replied that was fine. I was not contacted and called them on November 21st. I was told that I was still on their list to have an estimator contact me, in fact if I remember correctly, I was told I was next up. This was the day before Thanksgiving and I was told someone would call me on Monday after the holiday. It is over a month later and Bert Roofing has still not contacted me. read more

I contacted Bert Roofing two weeks ago to request an inspection and quote to repair or replace a portion of my roof where water leakage is apparent on the ceiling below. The person who answered the phone took my information and said repeatedly that they were very busy but would be in touch within a week. Having not heard anything from them, I called again today, and the phone person wouldn't give me any sense of when I might expect an appointment. When politely pressed by me, she admitted that this company isn't interested in roof repairs or partial replacements, despite repairs being offered as a service on the company website. A large tree limb had broken through my roof and there was more rain coming. They were quick to get someone out to look at it and estimate. Then very quickly it was repaired. They said they'd match the existing shingles, which they did and the resulting area looked great. You could not tell that it was a patch. And so far no leaks. I'd highly recommend them. read more

My roof, which is only 7 years old, a Class IV roof, had a leak during all the rain we had in June. I got an estimate from the company that did the installation to repair where needed for the leak, and it was outrageous. I call Bert Roofing on the recommendation of a friend who is one of their customers, and as busy as they were, actually got someone to come out even earlier than estimated. It was David Spann, very professional and friendly, who quickly determined what was needed and even worked me in the next week to do the repairs (nothing major, sealant mostly needed around pipes and a few shingles). The cost was 2/3 less than the other company, and he didn't try to upsell me with a bunch of work that may or may not have been needed. I can highly recommend this company with pleasure, and am only sorry that I didn't know about them when I needed a new roof in 2008. read more

Bert Roofing was awesome to work with, we had some tree damage and we wound up buying a whole new roof from Bert Roofing. Bill Young came out and looked at the damage, walked the whole roof and it quickly became clear that there was enough damage to warrant an insurance claim. Bill came back out twice to meet with two different adjusters. We wound up applying our insurance claim plus cash out of pocket to replace the whole roof. The crew was great, they worked fast, did half of the roof one evening and came back and finished it the next morning (Saturday July 4th). They cleaned up everything, and came back the next Monday to walk the roof with me. Bill Young made sure everything was taken care of and reminded me to let my insurance company know that we bought a new roof, and I just found out that the new roof is going to reduce our premiums by about 20%.
