The atmosphere has potential, but the space itself feels oddly underutilized, lacking the intentional flow and layered ambiance that define truly memorable bars. Cocktails are priced ambitiously even by Aspen standards, occasionally crossing the line to difficult to justify. Still, despite its shortcomings, it manages to deliver what most people ultimately come for: a lively crowd, an attractive room, and an undeniably good time if expectations are kept in the right place.

The deviled eggs were perfect, and I am just a deviled egg guy. Last Thanksgiving I made 150 deviled eggs for a party of 5, so I do not say that lightly. The Pretzel Hot Pocket was fine, just not my favorite. Their cocktails were fantastic, and I loved the No, It's a Cardigan and the Alexander Hamilton. The tea service was my favorite, a cocktail for two that came on a tea carafe. It was like tea service but actually fun because it had whiskey. The room feels like a cozy lodge, which fits the name, and I wanted to spend hours and hours there. Everyone was so nice. Best for whiskey fans, burger people, and anyone who wants a cozy spot in Aspen. It has to be a mandatory stop when you're in town, and I cannot wait to go back.

I came with my flight crew (just a couple of pilots in addition) and we just sat at the bar. I had the kale rotisserie chicken salad. The peanut dressing does have soy sauce so it is not gluten free, so they brought me a champagne vinaigrette instead. It was delicious. I got this during the cyclospora outbreak, because I'm a wild person now lol but they assured me they only get quality ingredients and super clean all veggies and fruit coming in.
