We have been friends for 26 years and we took a girls getaway to Breckenridge. I can't begin to say enough positive things about your establishment! The martinis were absolutely scrumptious. Christian is a dedicated young man, and as I told him he is like "an old soul in a young body". I mean that with the highest regard! He is completely squared away, he was personable, kind, and friendly while still tending to all of the guests that were there. One thing that impressed me the most is how he kept his bar so organized.....he has an incredible attention to detail... before he served any drink, he put a straw in it, pulled it out with his finger held over the top of the straw and sampled a taste of the drink, and then would throw the straw away. I've only seen this done at a few establishments, which I can tell you Cecilia is at the top of the list and the epitome of a wonderful experience! The only thing I would ask in return is that the owner of Cecilia's please recognize Christian for all of his efforts. Too often in life, people are very quick to complain about a negative experience and as a result, no one will take the time to reward positive experiences. He kindly welcomed us into a small but quaint waiting area and told us he'd be back in a few. When he returned, he handed us three glasses of champagne. Dang, we're not even in the bar yet but already digging this place! Finally we're in, and reminiscent of the 1920's with its vintage and retro decor...this speakeasy was super cool, comfy and cozy! Are we really in Montrose? Their drink menu was awesome and I'm not gonna lie, but it was kinda fun watching our mixologist carefully hand craft our cocktails with such care and pride...after all, not everyone can shake, rattle and stir like a mixologist...these peeps are trained professionals! If you like whiskey, I would high recommend getting the Old Fashioned because they will bring the alcohol cart to where you're sitting and make the whole drink in front of you. The Poco Loco, however, was unique and delicious with the habanero infusion so present and the foamy top giving it a melt in your mouth texture. It's pretty warm in there as they have no AC and no fans to circulate the air and it is still summer, plus drinking makes you hotter, so we were a little sweaty, but This is of course, a very temporary feeling as the area does not stay this hot for long. There are plenty of beer pubs and wine bars but not that many that make nice cocktails. The feel of the bar has significantly changed in the last year. It's gone from "everyone is drunk here woohoo!" to a nice cocktail bar. I love the concept of this bar. They have super traditional absinthe, absinthe cocktails, and absinthe wash cocktails, but also "normal" cocktails, beer and wine. The vibe is just really nice. It's chill, friendly, clean and comfortable. I love that they have a couch as well as a bar for sitting. There is a dart board and a few bar games you can play. Lisa and Sam, the two bartenders, are lovely. They're friendly and knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back!
