Chasing Rabbits? More like Chasing Dessert, Dignity, and Fresh Air…read more We came to a rabbit-themed restaurant, and somehow they did not have carrot cake. That is like going to Red Lobster and being told they are out of seafood. Carrots are literally the rabbit's entire brand. Absolutely unserious behavior. Then we ordered a dessert drink that supposedly came with bunny ears. It arrived earless. At this point, the rabbits weren't the only things being chased..... Just when we thought the evening couldn't get stranger, someone walked past our table and crop-dusted us with the confidence of a person who had diplomatic immunity. I cannot prove it was the hostess, but spiritually, I believe it was the hostess. The breeze had authority. The atmosphere was cool, the concept was fun, and the experience was unforgettable, primarily because our bodies may retain the scent forever. No carrot cake. No bunny ears. Mystery gas attack. Somewhere, Bugs Bunny is contacting an attorney. As I sure as hell will be

I felt like I walked into a speak easy. The restaurant was full but I was able to walk around and enjoy the decor and score some super cool pics. I would recommend coming with a resy. The service I'm sure was amazing because they offered us a tour of their speak easy when we asked to see it .

He was not only our bartender but was also one of the owner along with Samantha who I got to meet for the first time. Everyone was so friendly and was definitely a win connoisseur. I love their happy hour from Vail. Everything was price reasonable. I love that you could get any wine for 3 ounce for half the price. That allowed me to try almost every wine on the list. Yes. I was very happy when I left It's definitely a hidden gem. Will try to come back!

Visiting Vail for a quick getaway a few weekends ago made me realize (again) that this mountain…read moretown renowned for exhilarating outdoor activities is a foodie destination with so many options to choose from Michelin-recognized restaurants to something more casual. And to stumble upon this chic and inconspicuous cocktail bar in the busy downtown was something I wasn't expecting and became a treat after a nice stroll through the town after dinner in my hotel room. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was at the place where my heart was calling for. There were two gents at the bar and one of them warmly greeted me and said I could sit anywhere I would like. I hence picked one of the bar seats. Except one table that was occupied by a couple I was the only one. I appeared to have picked the right time; I had the whole bar to myself (eventually though, several different groups of people streamed in; only a few of them sat at the bar close to me. The bar was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a little over 10 people.) Jeremy, who greeted me upon arrival, was a super host. As soon as I explained that wine is my usual got-to, he said he could mix and match reds and whites to create a "flight" based on what I had told him as to my likings. His extensive explanations as to what sorts of reds and whites the bar offers/serves was (of course) all in his memory. His eloquent speech with no filler words truly impressed me; he sure is a wine connoisseur. What he picked for me were... -2024 Pepiere "Les Gras Moutons" (Muscadet) -Kobal "Bajta", Hazole Belo (aka Orange Wine) -Sandlands "Red Table Wine (Lodi Red Blend) With his wealth of knowledge, after giving him only a hint of what I liked, what Jeremy selected for me to sample/sip was a superb choice. All of them were world-class excellence with elegance and beauty. I carefully and slowly sipped each one little by little to truly immerse myself in the art of wine. Yes, wine is a piece of art for sure. I think I said it correctly at the beginning of this review. This is a cocktail bar with variety of spirits which Jeremy could easily concoct just about anything from gin-based one to vodka-based one to tequila-based ones to whiskey-based one to name several. For those who don't drink, their zero-proof section also has something interesting to browse and choose. Not to mention, rotating pilsner or IPA on tap to name a few from the beer section as well. If you need a little bite to eat, their (changing) food menu has a good number of New American-style plates. The bar originally opened in a different building back in 2015 (I believe). They moved to the current location in 2019. They also offer various different classes so you can expand/extend your knowledge. So for your next foodie vacation in Vail, make sure to include Root & Flower in your list.

We had the most amazing time last night! The atmosphere and ambience was superb! However, what…read moretruly made our night was your amazing bartender named Christian. I am 56 and my friend is 73. We have been friends for 26 years and we took a girls getaway to Breckenridge. I can't begin to say enough positive things about your establishment! The martinis were absolutely scrumptious. Christian is a dedicated young man, and as I told him he is like "an old soul in a young body". I mean that with the highest regard! He is completely squared away, he was personable, kind, and friendly while still tending to all of the guests that were there. One thing that impressed me the most is how he kept his bar so organized.....he has an incredible attention to detail... before he served any drink, he put a straw in it, pulled it out with his finger held over the top of the straw and sampled a taste of the drink, and then would throw the straw away. I've only seen this done at a few establishments, which I can tell you Cecilia is at the top of the list and the epitome of a wonderful experience! The only thing I would ask in return is that the owner of Cecilia's please recognize Christian for all of his efforts. Too often in life, people are very quick to complain about a negative experience and as a result, no one will take the time to reward positive experiences. I'm hoping as the owner of this establishment will recieve this message and anything else that you can do as an incentive for your employees will trickle down to Christian God Bless, Vicky & Anna

We love coming to the dogwood whenever we're in crested butte!…read moreThis time we came with a group of eight for my birthday. We stopped by on Saturday around 6 PM and the manager was so kind to help us put a larger table together. We only waited about 10 minutes. Our server was so sweet. I don't remember her name, but she was extremely knowledgeable about all the cocktails -- and there are many. It's one thing to memorize the ingredients, but quite another to understand flavor, profiles, textures, substitutions, etc. she really knows her stuff and was great at making recommendations. We tried a number of different cocktails, including the Headhunter, Xanadu, London press, lemon ginger NA, and poco loco. Personally, I had the headhunter and Poco Loco. The headhunter was yummy, but not special enough to order again. The Poco Loco, however, was unique and delicious with the habanero infusion so present and the foamy top giving it a melt in your mouth texture. It's pretty warm in there as they have no AC and no fans to circulate the air and it is still summer, plus drinking makes you hotter, so we were a little sweaty, but This is of course, a very temporary feeling as the area does not stay this hot for long. Absolutely can't wait to come back
