    Fun night!

What an iconic night! From the outside, it doesn't look like much but once you descend down stairs and enter you are welcomed into the most intimate, unique venue I've ever been to! Even though it is small, you have views from every angle..even if you're 5"4' like me! It was a blast and the bartenders were so friendly! Can't wait to make it back here for another show soon!

On Jan 4th, I had checked my jacket with coat check and at the the end of the show I had gone up to retrieve my jacket with my claim ticket and they had lost it. I had just purchase this coat the day before for $1,600. I spoke to Connor who is one of the managers and we exchanged information that night. He confirmed that he did review the tapes and I did arrive with a coat and that it was lost or stolen. He then told me he would have general manager Elizabeth reach out to me to talk about some compensation. When she called she was really sweet and asked for the receipt of the coat. I sent her the receipt and I never heard back. I called a and messaged but she blew me off. Terrible experience, no communication. No apology and had to walk home that night with out a jacket in 15 degree weather. I've given them plenty off time to make it right.

Saw Steve Aoki here. Came back a changed man. Highly suggest. Honestly prices weren't bad. Wasn't very crowded.

Love everything about this venue. Amazing DJs and performances. Def keep an eye out for their calendar because tickets sell out fast. You have to be 21 to get in. They have 2 cops at the door and they checking your IDs...so don't even try to enter if you are not 21. Drinks are pretty cheap... That was a nice surprise

Wouldn't you know I've found a new favorite new indoor music venue but it's all the way out in Aspen! The Belly Up is a fantastic intimate venue with excellent sound and a fun atmosphere. At some point, you're sure to spend time getting an eyeful of the hundreds of photos that line the walls and even spill into the bathrooms (hot dudes in the ladies' room and hot chicks in the mens' room). I seriously wonder how they are going to fit any more framed pictures in that place! Reserved seating, with its many perks, is most definitely the way to go. Use your reserved ticket to enter through the out door and skip the long line at the general admission entrance (go downstairs near the corner of Durant and Galena). The reserve section is a combination of rail seats in the front and tables behind. Security guards manning velvet ropes make certain only reserved ticket holders gain entry to the reserve section so it never gets too crowded. Our server also told us that usually every show entire reserved tables won't even show up. During our show, the table beside us stayed empty, even though the show was sold out. More dancing space for me! The tables aren't cheap so we guessed those tickets must be corporate gifts of some sort. Be warned, the reserved seating policy is a bit strange and confusing. For instance, the tables are advertised to hold six people but fitting even four at one table is quite a challenge. In addition, the venue will seat different parties together at the tables as seating is based on the time of purchase and the configuration of groups. Which is how the two of us ended up at a table with two strangers, even though we all bought our tickets immediately when they went on sale. Our tablemates were nice and friendly but next time I think rail seats will do just fine for the two of us. Our show was a combo of reserved and general admission tickets but you can reserve a table for a GA show starting at a $250 minimum food and beverage purchase (pricing depends upon the show). Bottle service is also offered if you are so inclined. We ordered a couple of snacks before the show and found the food surprisingly fresh and tasty. The menu listed several great options. I had the house salad and we shared the hummus plate. Portions were large. Drink prices were not bad for Aspen. Our waitress treated us to awesome service all night long and we never had to wait too long for anything. If you have the chance to catch a show here, don't pass up the opportunity! I'm happy to have finally checked this one off my Colorado bucket list and hope to make it back one day in the not too distant future. Yelp Review #500

This place is the best live music venue in Aspen. My favorite one is to dance right in the front and dance to the end of the concert, love... love this place. There is no other place that you can dance or stand less than 4 feet away from the stage from your favorite band/singer, but this place rock it! I like that Michael Goldberg the owner love taking photos of the band/artist and hang their photos on the wall, it's so cool!

This place is the shit. I've been to music venues all over the world and this is easily one of my favorites. Great sound, great sightlines, friendly staff. Drinks and tickets can be over priced but hey, it's Aspen.

My experience at The Belly Up was great! The friends I had come with said it was a little unusual, but because it was a smaller act the place opened up there usual VIP seating areas for general admission. Drinks are decently strong, but $10 bucks a piece...not too uncommon for a live music venue and definitely not uncommon for aspen. The music sounded great. Their sound system was perfect for our show. Lots of clears and good distortion to go with it....you could hear it all. The seats and table we had made it comfy for a show and the we could see perfectly because it's tiered. I look forward to more shows there

Great venue for live music. There is a raised level with bars surrounding the main area -which could be used a s dancefloor or pack in the crowds for a sellout show. Granted it is a bit of a drive from Metro Denver- but if you find yourself up in the mountains for a couple days- check the schedule for this venue as it hosts top acts in a great atmosphere. Being that is IS Apen it seems that everything is laid back but upscale. The Belly Up fits this description as well.

It's a fun, High-Energy place to dance, but it's a little bit pricey: $85.00 per person.

The service was wonderful, we got our food very quickly, and the ambiance was adorable. A little loud but nothing too crazy. The food itself was fine. We ordered the duo dip, French fries, the French dip, and the chicken sandwich. The guac and the other dip were really good and we loved the chips too. The fries are pretty much what you'd expect, except once they got to room temperature they became super hard and not very edible. My husband said the French dip meat was good and tender, pretty good flavor overall. I had the chicken sandwich which was huge! They split the sandwich into three wedges and I could only finish two. I liked the texture of the chicken was nice and I liked the slaw on it, however, the flavor overall was kind of lacking. I would say it was a bit overhyped. Overall, it was a nice experience for a decent price and I'm glad we went. Would we go back? Probably.

Hate leaving public reviews and feel bad criticizing any small business these days which is why I…read moredon't want to give our experience 1 star but after attempting to reach out to the restaurant privately and getting no response would like to give other customers and the business a heads up so future patrons are not treated this way. We had dinner on Dec 30th while sitting at the bar. To get me to write any letter the experience must be pretty extreme and even more so when you consider the food was great and service (once we sat down) was also excellent. My wife and I got there at about 630 expecting to wait for bar seats for a group of 4. Our friends who play local shows and are regulars at Ellina and know the staff joined us. I checked in with the hostess and just made sure on the bar wait protocol and offered to put our name down and they said first come first serve. There was another couple in front of us and when 2 seats opened up in the corner we told them and they sat down (cause it would obviously be wrong to cut in front of them even though we were closer to the seats). We waited patiently for a good 45 minutes with our 2 friends but were not on top of the hostess station cause it was crowded with traffic (we only were like 5 feet away though even with the middle of the bar). About 10 minutes into our wait a group of 3 walked by us (2 girls and a guy celebrating a bday) to also wait at the bar. I remember them walking in cause they  accidentally bumped into me and apologized on their way to wait right by the host station for bar seats. When finally 2 seats opened up my wife and my friend's wife took the seat and when another 10 minutes went by 3 seats next to them opened up. We went to grab 2/3 seats and then the guy from the party said that's our seats. I told him it's first come first serve and they lied and said we were here first. I mention they walked into us while you were walking in and tried to tell them we were right behind the couple who were seated before us an hour ago (their party wasn't even there for that..that's how long we were waiting). Instead of letting me explain, the manager or owner came over and yells "MY BAR MY RULES" at me and said told the other party to sit down. My friends who are regulars and know the bartender and actually have met the her (Jill??) were also shocked. So we had no choice but to wait a little longer before another few seats opened up. We did end up sitting next to the same party of the 3 and the guy actually apologized to my wife multiple times cause they knew they were in the wrong. They totally lied and got away with it.  Despite the rudeness we spent $450 and appreciate Willy working hard for us but my friends and I don't see any of us going back and supporting the establishment after the way the earlier situation was handled and after an attempt to reach privately still no response. There was so many more mature and professional ways to handle the situation like asking for my explanation or having the host who first saw me vouch for me (I asked her if there was a list to put our name down for the bar trying to be proactive) or ask the other couple that was seated down right before us, or being proactive and implementing a waiting list or maybe offering us or the other party drinks or appetizers) but yelling at a customer and completely being in the wrong was so unbelievable out of pocket. It really ruined the meal for all of us despite objectively good food and drinks and like I said Willy and David were great. Please treat your future customers better than us.

The restaurant I noted was good but not amazing which I felt to be true. Great appetizers but our mains we didn't love for 500 dollars!! THEIR STAFF had the audacity to write me back an extremely passive aggressive note back to me discouraging me from writing a review, taking the egg off of the fettuccine and they were quite surprised I even liked the burrata (passive aggressive). This isn't a good look for any restaurant.
