We came in today to purchase a couple of insulated water bottles for our bikes. Competing pricing and the products were in stock; makes for a successful trip to Folsom Bike. This Store has a lot to offer and is well stocked with bikes, and accessories when we came in today. We will definitely be back to this location for our next bike services.

Staff is super friendly, helpful and let me test ride several bikes in order for me to decide on the best fit. I made my decision and couldn't be happier with my choice or the level of service provided by Slater, who helped me through the process. Even though they are a large company with numerous stores, you feel like you are buying from a locally owned business. I highly recommend.

I was given an ETA of a week but the bike showed up yesterday (4 days after I ordered it) and was ready to roll. The rest of the staff is awesome too. I had to bring the bike in today because some punk made me hit a pole and bent my derailer hanger. They fixed the bike while I waited and didn't charge me. I'm assuming they didn't charge because I just picked up the bike yesterday. Either way, I love that shop and will happily send my friends and family there!

Was not told this up front. Making the decision to pay 270 into the mechanical without knowing Electronics is ridiculous- at least for consideration. ‐ now I have an e-bike without E, that already cost 270 that I might not have agreed to had I known diagnostic cost up front and that the electronics didn't work. (By the way the last time I used the bike the E part did work) - the best Alex could do was to cover parts, but I'd still be on the hook almost $200 for the labor. Mind you I wouldn't be in the first 270 if I'd known everything up front - on top of everything else it was on me to communicate with communicate with them two to three times in person to even get an update on what was going on. This was over several weeks.

Not only was the selection weak, but I was never approached by an employee for assistance, including in other departments. Plus the store seems small and jumbled in display. For example, the bike department seems blended with the snow board equipment. I left without buying anything and feeling indifferent about ever returning. Lastly, although the store carries name brand products, it is full price and can be found elsewhere for less. The only exception on pricing is their own branded products, but that often means buying something that has the REI logo blazing through the look of the item.

Man, I found another gem in the cycling world. I got my first flat today and thought I was…read moreprepared, but my valve stem was too short for my carbon wheels. I was right by the Fair Oaks Bridge on the American River Trail, half a mile away from this shop I had seen before but never stopped at. I had to decide if I was going to walk or call for a ride. I ended up walking, took my cycling shoes off and went in socks haha, not too bad actually. Fortunately, Adaman was there and had exactly what I needed. I caught him in the middle of something, but he still took the time to help and even replaced the tube for me, which I really appreciated. He also pointed me in the right direction for a proper pump and spare tube so I don't run into this again. I'll definitely be back, maybe even to look into a bike upgrade down the road. And once they get coffee and beer going, I'll for sure be stopping in more often. Thanks again for getting me back on the road.

I honestly don't think it's possible to write a negative enough review for this place. It all…read morestarted with me returning my FX 2 and using my Roscoe 7 as a trade in to get a Checkpoint ALR 3. They didn't have the Checkpoint in stock so they ordered it and told me it would show up in a week. 9 days went by so I called to check in and see if they had an ETA since the bike was two days late at that point. It was then that I was told by an employee that the bike had north of a month long backorder. The employee seemed surprised that the manager who sold me the Checkpoint didn't tell me that it was backordered. At this point, I was not OK with having been deceived into this deal so I said I wanted my bikes back or a cash refund. I went in to the Trek store the day after my phone call with the employee and the manager lied to my face saying he didn't know there was a backorder. Nice try. I work for an auto dealership. We can see when cars and parts are backordered. A couple days went by and the employee called me again last Tuesday to inform me that they had found a bike in Tennessee and could have it in my hands by the weekend and asked if I wanted the bike or store credit. I chose the bike. The weekend came and went and still no bike so my brother called on my behalf since I didn't have time to call today 4/27/2026 and they told him the bike would show up tomorrow but would not be able to be built until Friday because their "builder" is out until then. More lies. Anybody in that store could build the bike. I know this because everyone in the El Dorado Hills store builds bikes. At this point, I now have a Giant Revolt 2 (I strongly suggest trying that bike) that will be my bike and I will be selling the Checkpoint for cash when I have it in hand because I am 100% done with Trek. I will be having it inspected by a trusted shop first before I sell it though because I now don't trust Trek Folsom to not sabotage the bike since I have been very clear about my displeasure both in this review and the survey I got in an email. I will NEVER do business with Trek again and will do everything in my power to direct everyone I meet away from Trek. This Checkpoint would have been my 4th Trek bike and after this experience, it will be my last for sure. Nice going guys. You drove away someone who was planning to ride your bikes for life! Great business! Anyway, if you want an awesome gravel bike, go to Mike's Bikes in Folsom and check out the Giant Revolt 2. There has not been one visit where someone has not come up to me and asked if I needed help. That in itself is impressive. Unless there is a sale going on things are pricey in my opinion. But as they say you get what you pay for. I did buy a pair of Hoka walking shoes last year and they have held up wonderfully and are so comfortable. All in all, I highly recommend Dick's Sporting Goods for having plenty of inventory and wonderful service. They definitely have you covered.
