My recent experience was no different. Jonathan Van Patten came to our Loomis Pack 12 Boy Scouts meeting to teach the kids about bike safety and maintenance. The whole team (including Eddie and Tony) were nothing but supportive and helpful. The kids built their confidence and will be safer riders now thanks to them and better understand the rules of the road. I will not go anywhere else for the biking needs my family has and super appreciate their support always!

Would have took him 5 mins I just didn't have the right tools since I haven't ridden bikes since I was a kid and I was fixing this bike for one of my many employees in the area. I bought this bike for her she only lives .6 miles away but it is so much more convenient especially in the heat. Oh well at least Ben stepped up without saying a word and made sure everything on the bike was tightened and in the right position. I would recommend requesting to only working for Ben especially if you are a different ethnicity. Remember the energy you give off initially towards someone and don't expect them to forgive you for nothing

All of this is in the same day by the way I went over to…read moreMike's bikes and they said the repair for my shifter cable and housing was gonna be about $400 and they said it was gonna take about three weeks to repair so I set up an appointment with them and I thought it felt very off so then I went to Bob's cycle center and they said they would be able to repair it in the same day and all of it for about $50 including a tube change I did have the parts with me so it made it a little cheaper Chris and Mark helped me and they were extremely nice about it. I didn't specify what to I want to change and I got a call from them asking which I thought was very nice. I recommend this business for bike repairs at 10 out of 10 and if I ever need any other work done, I will definitely be coming here.

What I experienced instead has been deeply disappointing. From the very beginning, the drivetrain did not function properly. Shifting was inconsistent and unreliable. I brought the bike back to the shop numerous times during the first year -- well within the stated one-year warranty period for drivetrain components. Each time, I was told the gears had been adjusted and that the issue was fixed. Each time, I would ride the bike and discover it was still not working properly. I travel frequently to ride, including trips to Colorado, and it is incredibly frustrating to arrive at a destination only to discover that a brand-new, top-tier bike still isn't functioning correctly. This was not a one-time complaint -- it was an ongoing issue from the beginning. As the one-year warranty period approached, I was told directly not to worry about the warranty expiring. I was assured that if we went beyond the 12 months and the drivetrain still wasn't resolved, they would "take care of it." I was explicitly told they would stand behind me and make it right. However, when we reached 16 months and the drivetrain issue was still unresolved, the response completely changed. I was then told there was nothing they could do because the bike was outside the warranty period. After a year of documented complaints and repeated visits during the warranty window, being told that the issue could not be addressed because of the calendar felt like a complete reversal of what I had been promised. The timing of the denial, after repeated attempts to fix the problem within the warranty period, left me feeling dismissed and unsupported. When you purchase a high-end bike at a premium price, you are not just buying components -- you are buying trust, service, and follow-through. In my experience, that trust was not honored. I cannot recommend this shop based on how this situation was handled. If you are considering a major purchase here, I strongly encourage you to get warranty commitments in writing, document every visit, and be extremely clear about how ongoing issues will be handled if they extend beyond stated warranty periods. Even if this were the last bike shop in Auburn, I would choose to drive elsewhere to work with a business that prioritizes accountability and standing behind its commitments. I have been a roder for 40 years.

Alex took care of everything: he replaced the tire, lubed the chain, and fixed both the front and rear brake pads. Now the bike not only looks great but rides perfectly. I honestly don't think it's possible to write a negative enough review for this place. It all…read morestarted with me returning my FX 2 and using my Roscoe 7 as a trade in to get a Checkpoint ALR 3. They didn't have the Checkpoint in stock so they ordered it and told me it would show up in a week. 9 days went by so I called to check in and see if they had an ETA since the bike was two days late at that point. It was then that I was told by an employee that the bike had north of a month long backorder. The employee seemed surprised that the manager who sold me the Checkpoint didn't tell me that it was backordered. At this point, I was not OK with having been deceived into this deal so I said I wanted my bikes back or a cash refund. I went in to the Trek store the day after my phone call with the employee and the manager lied to my face saying he didn't know there was a backorder. Nice try. I work for an auto dealership. We can see when cars and parts are backordered. A couple days went by and the employee called me again last Tuesday to inform me that they had found a bike in Tennessee and could have it in my hands by the weekend and asked if I wanted the bike or store credit. I chose the bike. The weekend came and went and still no bike so my brother called on my behalf since I didn't have time to call today 4/27/2026 and they told him the bike would show up tomorrow but would not be able to be built until Friday because their "builder" is out until then. More lies. Anybody in that store could build the bike. I know this because everyone in the El Dorado Hills store builds bikes. At this point, I now have a Giant Revolt 2 (I strongly suggest trying that bike) that will be my bike and I will be selling the Checkpoint for cash when I have it in hand because I am 100% done with Trek. I will be having it inspected by a trusted shop first before I sell it though because I now don't trust Trek Folsom to not sabotage the bike since I have been very clear about my displeasure both in this review and the survey I got in an email. I will NEVER do business with Trek again and will do everything in my power to direct everyone I meet away from Trek. This Checkpoint would have been my 4th Trek bike and after this experience, it will be my last for sure. Nice going guys. You drove away someone who was planning to ride your bikes for life! Great business! Anyway, if you want an awesome gravel bike, go to Mike's Bikes in Folsom and check out the Giant Revolt 2. I should probably be thanking Trek because had it not been for this experience, I never would have wound up with a far superior bike. Anyway, negative 1,000,000 stars for these guys.

So he found ATV wholesale in Sacramento and we went up there to get him a Suron ultra b. The staff was friendly and helpful and extremely knowledgeable they didn't have any in stock the day we went but they let me put down a deposit for when they came in. The communication on timing was great. There was a little holdup in customs which was absolutely not their fault, but they kept me informed on when the bike would be there and always answered my phone calls when I asked. Now as far as the bike goes my grandson is having a blast. He says it's the funnest dirt bike he's ever been on and likes it even way more than his YZ125. I'd highly highly recommend this place if you're interested in any kind of electric bike. They have them all. I even saw go-kart I might be interested in if my old butt can get in it.
