I purchased a new, preassembled Super73 Miami SE from Bikes & Riders on June 2, 2026. The bike had electrical problems from the beginning, including a nonfunctioning speedometer and factory headlight. I reported the problems within days of purchase and notified them in writing on June 5. I provided requested videos and proof of purchase, and on June 24 was told a warranty claim had been submitted. After additional communication on June 25, I received no further update. I called again on July 14 and did not hear from them until August 15. By then, I had gone directly to Super73 and an authorized Super73 service center. After multiple repair attempts and replacement components, Super73 ultimately replaced the entire bike. My issue is simple: I bought a brand new bike, reported problems within days, and ultimately had to go around the selling dealer to get them resolved. I don't blame Bikes & Riders for the defective bike, but I expected the dealer I purchased it from to remain engaged and help me through the warranty process. That was not my experience. Based on the communication and after-sale support I received, I would not purchase from Bikes & Riders again or recommend them. read more

We were referred to Bikes and Riders by another bike shop as my daughter has an Aventon ebike. The bike shop was very clean and organized. We were greeted by Alex and when I requested they provide a tune-up and repairs due to a recent crash, it was obvious that he was very knowledgeable about her specific model. Although it can typically take up to 3-4 days for repairs, and/or tune-ups, he was able to rush her repairs through in less than 24 hours when I stated she is in school and her bike is the only method of transportation. - Brought 2 bikes in with flats, and asked them to "go through" each bike and make recommendation. - recommended full tunes at $270 each - when completed, one bike is fine, the other has electronic issues - was told AFTER the 270 tune up that an electric diagnosis was separate and would have been 100. Was not told this up front. Making the decision to pay 270 into the mechanical without knowing Electronics is ridiculous- at least for consideration. ‐ now I have an e-bike without E, that already cost 270 that I might not have agreed to had I known diagnostic cost up front and that the electronics didn't work. (By the way the last time I used the bike the E part did work) - the best Alex could do was to cover parts, but I'd still be on the hook almost $200 for the labor. Mind you I wouldn't be in the first 270 if I'd known everything up front - on top of everything else it was on me to communicate with communicate with them two to three times in person to even get an update on what was going on. Assembly fee (even when the bike is sitting there assembled), in-convenience fee, using a credit card fee. I put a lot of miles on my e-trike traveling up and down a very steep road in our area. As a result, my trike is hard on the brakes. My wife and I have been researching e-bikes for several years. We were interested in them, but did not want to give up our pedal-only bicycles. After looking into several brands for quality, pricing, and customer service we were leaning toward Aventon. After visiting several bicycle shops in California and Nevada, we were advised not to buy them over the internet, but to instead purchase them from a dealer so you had a place to return them for warranty service and needed repairs/tune-ups down the road. Unfortunately, we were not aware of any Aventon dealers in our area. However, we had subscribed to Aventon e-mails for quite some time and they sent us an e-mail with Aventon dealers in our area. We have lived in Rocklin since 1994 and were happy to discover an Aventon dealer only 5 minutes away from our house!!! Last Sunday (7/13) morning, we decided to visit the dealer to actually ride some Aventon e-bikes. We were first met by Gleb (who we later found out was one of the best mechanics on Aventon bikes in the area). We told him our situation and he said to ride as many different bikes (and not just Aventon either) as we wanted and to take our time. After we rode 2 different bikes, Alex (co-owner) came and spoke to us. We learned he had ridden professionally in Italy for years and participated in the Tour de France! He also insisted that we ride as many different bikes as possible to make sure we tried different models and sizes. He explained various aspects of different e-bikes. Both gentlemen were friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and patient. They both took the time to answer all of our questions and to explain everything to us. As we were there a few hours, we heard several other customers talk about how great the customer service was at this shop. They sold at least 4 bikes while we were there! After riding several e-bikes and talking to Gleb and Alex about the pros/cons of each, we ended up purchasing 2 Aventon Pace 500.4 e-bikes ourselves!!! I came here for maintenance on a cheap electric scooter that I've had for 5+ years. They told me at first that it might not be worth the cost of maintenance, but then agreed to do diagnostics on it for $100. Later on that day I reconsidered and called them back to say that I didn't want to go ahead with the diagnostics. They returned my $100 and even agreed, when I asked, to dispose of the old scooter. I doubt this is standard for them, but I appreciated it very much as disposal can be a problem due to the large lithium-ion battery. I appreciated their honesty and good customer service. read more
